nabi was sitting backstage with the rest of her group.
she was fixing her in-ears and practicing over and over again for this final performance, which would be the decision whether the group would stay as 10 members or not.
the seven member stage was first and those members were leaving the room to go on stage.
"fighting." nabi spoke quietly, holding her fist up to the seven members.
she watched the screen, with felix and minho, that was in the backstage room they were in. she was impressed with how well the seven members did with their two songs.
jyp would tell the seven what he thought about the song and the performance with details about the way the group worked together. then the mc told the audience about the members who were eliminated in early episodes.
he told the audience to watch the screen as a video appeared, it was about the early eliminated members stories after they left for a whole.
nabi's video was being played. . .
they showed how intently studied plenty of books on the korean language, grammar, and spelling.
how she danced alone and sang to herself in the studio mirror, evaluating and trying to fix what she thought was wrong.
when the entire video was over, the three walked on stage to introduce themselves and start getting ready for their final stage.
"jyp, what was the reason that you gave them another chance?" the host asked.
"initially between the female team i felt that nabi just wasn't right in that team and i put her with the boys. once the three left, i couldn't feel the same impact with only seven members," he started explaining, "to feel that impact again, all 10 members needed to be there."
the host nodded and chan introduced the song they had prepared with all the members. once he was finished speaking, the group got into their positions and then started singing, rapping, and dancing once they heard the music begin.
after their performance, they all stood together in a line one next to each other. jyp complimented the group on their dancing and went on to compliment the three who were added back from their elimination.
jyp told the three that they did in fact correct their lacking points. felix sounded like a korean, his pronunciation was great.
jyp complimented nabi on her dancing, telling her that she improved big time and she wasn't as wobbly as before.
"thanks hyunjin," nabi thought.
he also complimented minho on his newly found confidence on stage.
after a small commercial break, the mc announced what the viewers had voted for the member count.
it was a 94% to 6% vote for 10 members to be as one group. everyone was happy as they heard the mc announce that the viewers appreciated the whole 10 members on stage as one group.
now, nabi was sitting backstage silently as she watched jun.k preform his song.
she was still a bit nervous and scared since the final decision for the group of 10 debuting together was yet to be decided. she found herself nervously biting at her bottom lip as she watched the screen.
hyunjin sat next to the girl and watched as well as the words popped on the screen which officially closed the voting for the groups final member count.
"the results are in!" the host spoke loudly.
the biggest vote, 10 members debuting, going up by only 2%. the mc turned to jyp and asked him what he would say.
felix, minho, and nabi were the only ones standing on stage. jyp started explaining his thoughts about the 7 member group and the 10 member group.
"congratulations, stray kids will continue as 10 members." jyp announced into his mic with a proud smile of his face.
rosey looked at minho and felix, then she ran over to jisung who was looking up towards the ceiling in relief. jisung was surprised when he felt the girl latch onto him, he just wrapped his arms around the short girl.
finally, they achieved their goal of debuting as 10.
