I lost a friendly soul today,
She was on my mine in every port or cay.
More than support, she kept wild winds at bay,
And the wolves were my friends in every dank door. I say
Give me passage, and the doors of an entryway
Would open-wide, "Come dear sir, friend of one whose lost her way."
And my passage was unblocked, every boulder set aside
Because of her, my friend was my precious guide,
She is gone, slipped the grip of the sands of the damnified
Crack open the doors to Heaven, stand erect, for she is justified
To walk in the rank of those whose loins are purified
Of evil. Welcome her my friend into your midst, for she is sanctified.
