As I walk up the familiar steps to my flat, I think about seeing Phil again. We've been apart for a week but have kept in touch. I miss him so freaking much that it hurts.
I feel sort of bad for lying to Phil about the delay, but I really wanted to surprise him. Besides it's 5:00 am right now, he's probably still asleep.
I push open the familiar door and let the warmth of our flat envelope me. I quietly sneak off to my room, planning my surprise for Phil.
Dan: Lion wake up
Dan: Lion

Dan: Wake uuuuuuuupppp
Phil: What??
Dan sent you a snap!
Phil: Oh my god
I can see Phil's door open from my position. I hear him slowly walk towards my room. He pokes his head shyly through the doorway. He's wearing his emoji pajamas that he loves so much. I grin widely at him.
"Hi there gorgeous." I say. An equally wide grin spreads across his face. He runs and jumps on me and wraps his legs securely around my waist to support himself. I wrap my arms around his waist as he buries his face in my neck.
"I missed you." He whispers, and it's almost inaudible but I manage to catch what he said.
"I missed you too." I reply, and slowly I lower Phil back to the ground. He looks me in the eyes and I notice a few tears have escaped his eyes. I tenderly wipe them away with my thumb and pull him into a kiss. When we seperate, I pick him up once more, this time bridal style, and carry him to the couch where we cuddle and watch anime.
