In just a few days, Sebastian and his family have to fly back to their hometown as there was some family crisis going on and they all had to be there, which meant I was stuck with Blaine for a whole week. I don't mind being alone with Blaine, it's just nice to have that little extra hand.
"I'm sorry I have to leave" Sebastian sighs.
"It's fine, Bas, I mean I'll call Santana and ask her if she doesn't mind helping me for the first couple of days or something"
"Just don't worry about it, ok?" I hug him.
"We'll be just fine"
It was soon the day for Sebastian to leave. He was packing the rest of his things whilst I got Blaine dressed into some grey Mickey Mouse trousers with the matching black and grey long sleeve vest and then his Mickey Mouse socks. We soon hear a car horn and realised it was Santana. We rush out the door with Blaine in his car seat and get in. Santana said she'll take us because she asked if it was ok if she could stay for a little while so Blaine could have some company.
"You two just know how to dress these kids, huh?" Sebastian chuckles.
"Why?" I ask.
"Because Britt's in a Minnie Mouse outfit and Blaine's in a Mickey Mouse outfit" he explains.
We soon reach the airport and we all get out and head in with Sebastian so we could say goodbye.
"Now you mister, you need to behave while I'm gone, ok? And you need to look out for dada, got it?" Bas gives Blaine a 'pep' talk. I just roll my eyes but smile anyway.
"We'll be fine"
"I love you" he hugs me as I hug him back.
"I love you too" we soon say goodbye and reassure him that we'll be fine, but boy was I wrong. As soon as Sebastian walked to the gates, Blaine started crying.
"A baba" he tries to reach for him.
"I'll be back soon, I love you" he shouts down.
"Baba!" He cries.
"Oh boy, this is going to be a loooong week" I say to San as we make our way out.
"We should have done this whilst he was asleep"
"Yeah, totally, look, Blaine, look at the planes" I say to him as I point to the sky.
"A baba" he sobs into my shoulder. We soon get back in the car and I managed to somehow get Blaine in his seat and we soon head home. Blaine soon settled down and we think he might have fell asleep.
"Is he asleep?" San asks as she was getting Brittany out of her car seat.
"Yup, he's out" I chuckle as I grab his car seat. We head inside and Britt goes of to play. San and I talked whilst we made lunch and Blaine soon woke up.
"Hey baby" I coo as I get him out, Britt standing beside me.
"E 'wake" Brittany giggles as she points at Blaine.
"That's right"
"Now, we need to change his nappy" I tell her. I take him to his changing table that we kept downstairs and changed his nappy whilst Brittany played with him and was making him laugh.
"Ok, shall we go get some lunch, Britt?" I ask her.
"Yeah" she cheers as she runs off to the kitchen before I could even pick Blaine up off the table. I place Blaine in his highchair whilst Santana does the same to Brittany and we soon give them their lunch. We soon eat lunch before letting the kids go play again.
"You gonna show auntie Santana and Brittany your new walker?" I coo at Blaine. He soon squeals as he crawls to his walker and gets himself up, Brittany stood behind him and pushed him slightly.
"No, Brittany, don't push, let him do it" Santana tells her off.
"Come on then, Blaine" I try and encourage him. He soon walks to us with the help of his walker.
"Oh wow, it won't be long until he starts walking" Santana tells me as we clear the kitchen up.
"I know"
"I need to get Blaine down for a nap and sort through all of his toys that he owns" I say to San.
"Ok"
"Come on mister, let's go down for a nap" I say as I pick Blaine up and take him upstairs. I change his nappy before lying him in his crib with his bottle and tucking him in with his blanket. I then grab his toy box and his bath toys before going to my room and grabbing the toy box from in there, they were only small toys boxes anyway. I take them down and empty every box as well as the one downstairs.
"Do you want me to grab a bin bag?" San asks.
"Urm, yes please" she comes back with a bin bag and she helps me sort through his toys.
"What are you doing, missy?" I chuckle slightly as I felt Brittany behind me, her arms coming around my neck. I managed to grab behind me and grab her before pulling her to the front of me and tickling her.
"Nooo" she laughs as she tried to get away.
"Mummy" she tries to call for help.
"Nope, you got yourself into this mess" San chuckles.
"Ah" she laughs.
"Ok ok" I say as I stop so she could breathe. Santana soon settles her down in her bouncy chair that was kept here and we finished sorting out the toys and I put back the ones that stayed in the living room and then the ones in my bedroom.
"I'll put his bath toys back once he's awake but if I do need him to be entertained in his bedroom, I'll just bring the toys from my room" I explain to San.
"Yeah, it's probably easier and less clutter" San and I soon watch tele whilst the kids slept now that everything was done.
"So, any ideas on what you're doing for Christmas?" San asks me.
"Well, I was hoping you'd come round again, I mean that's if you want to, you haven't got to say yes" I tell her.
"No, sure, I'd love to come and I'm sure Brittany would too, are you going to the grandparents though?" She asks.
"Possibly, stay there for a couple nights or at least until the New Years or something, I haven't got quite that far" I chuckle.
"Oh right" we soon talk for a while until both kids were up. We change their nappies before letting them play. It soon rolled onto dinner and bedtime so we got the kids fed and into their pyjamas. We settle them down with everything before going back downstairs and sorting out the kitchen and the living room. We soon go to bed ourselves, preparing ourselves for the next few days.
*A Week Later*
Blaine had been grumpy for the first couple of days that Sebastian was away, he would always cry for him and call his name and he ended up in my bed for the first few nights. It's the day we pick Sebastian up but not until this evening and Santana had offered to pick him up again, obviously we're all going.
"Ok, let's go get dressed for tonight" I say to Blaine as I pick him up. I take him upstairs and pick out an outfit before lying him on his changing table and changing his nappy before putting him into a black long sleeve Batman shirt with the matching trousers and some grey and black Batman socks.
"Look at you Batman" I coo.
"Hey, guess who we're going to see today?" I coo again although I knew I wasn't going to get an answer.
"We are going to see...baba!" I cheer as I tickle Blaine.
"Baba!" Blaine squeals.
"That's right"
"Ok mister, we've got to wait for auntie Santana to arrive" I tell him as I place him down so I could clean the kitchen. I was trying to keep things tidy as I knew we would probably end up coming home late, so I didn't want to do it when we come home. I managed to play with Blaine for a while until Santana and Brittany showed up.
"Ah" Blaine squeals.
"Come on then" I say as I pick him up and answer the door.
"Hello" Brittany wore a pink and white long sleeve Minnie Mouse vest with a tutu and the matching tights.
"Hi" I let them come in and we chat whilst the kids play.
"I bet you're so glad he's coming back" San says.
"Definitely, especially after those first couple of days, he was awful" I tell her.
"I know, that was bad, he just wouldn't sleep or anything" it soon rolled onto time to pick up Sebastian, we fed the kids a McDonald's on the way there as they were both getting very angsty. Once we got to the airport, I placed Blaine into his pushchair whilst Santana carried Brittany.
"Thanks for staying with me and dropping and picking us up from here" I say to San.
"Not a problem" she says. It wasn't really busy here so we managed to find some seats and Blaine started to get fussy. I put some black trainer shoes on him as he had been getting used to his walker so much so I thought we could do a little more practicing. Brittany was already wearing her pink velcro shoes.
"Come on then" I say as I unclipped him and got him out. I get behind him and grab his hands and help him practice some walking. We waited and waited and waited for Sebastian, that even the kids were starting to get fed up. It wasn't until another 15 minutes later, I spotted him. We made our way toward him and Blaine whined, wanting to be put down, I place him down and he also spotted Sebastian, he didn't know who it was at first but once he knew, he did the unthinkable.
HE WALKED.
Blaine got up and took a small step, all of us clearly in shock. Once Sebastian saw this, he came a little closer and knelt down.
"Come on bud" he calls out as he had his arms out, waiting for him. Blaine stumbled here and there but he never fell.
"A baba! A baba!" Blaine kept babbling as he made his way toward Sebastian.
"Come on buddy" Sebastian cheers for him. We were all crying, he just took his first steps at a freaking airport.
"Baba!" Blaine cheers as he got closer.
"A little more" Blaine soon reached Sebastian and Sebastian picked him up and hugged him.
"You did it, bud, babas so proud" he kisses him over and over.
"Baba! Baba! Baba!" Blaine hugs him.
"Oh, that's right, that's so right, I missed you so much" I soon go over and hug him as well.
"Hello sweetie" Sebastian coos once he felt Brittany against his leg.
"I" she smiles.
"E 'alkeded" she says.
"That's right, he did walk" he smiles at her. We soon leave the airport and Blaine had to go back in his pushchair. I move his cloths and dummy out of the way so Sebastian could clip him in.
"Ah baba" Blaine starts to cry.
"Aww, buddy" Sebastian coos as he clips him in.
"I'll push" he says as he took hold of the pushchair. We soon get back to the car and load the car up before going home, we soon get home and we tell Santana that she could sleep, so she gets Brittany into a fresh nappy and then puts her into a pink and orange long sleeve vest with the matching bodysuit before giving her, her muslin cloths and dummy before taking her to bed.
"Ok mister, babas back, but we have to get jammies on" I chuckle as Blaine had clung to Sebastian as soon as we got home.
"Pass 'em 'ere, I'll change him" he says. I throw his pyjamas and nappy at Sebastian once he laid him on the floor and started changing him. Sebastian manages to change his nappy and put him into his black and white star long sleeve vest with some blue starry footed trousers.
"He in our room?" Bas asks.
"Sure" I say. We all head up and we say night to San before going to our room. As I got ready, I was telling Bas about the first couple of days with Blaine as it was just tantrums and wanting his baba.
"You missed me, huh?" Bas tickles Blaine as he lay in the middle of our bed with his bottle. We soon get in beside him and Blaine hugs Bas as he drinks from his bottle.
"I love you" I kiss Sebastian.
"I love you too, I missed you both" he kisses me back.
"We missed you too" we all soon fall asleep, happy that Sebastian was back.
