A week later, with Ethan staying at home with Callum and Ellie, Josh and Lexi were making their debut on Smackdown in an 8 person mixed tag match. It was them, tagging with Finn and Bayley, against The Bar, Sonya and Mandy.
Josh: Well, my first night on Smackdown...
Bayley: And ours!
Josh: Yes, yours and Finn's too, Bay!
Bayley: Sorry, I'm just excited about all of us teaming up together for the first time ever!
Finn: And we will tear it down, you just watch...
The 4 then shared a group hug, and as they made their way to gorilla, 2 familiar faces surprised them with their appearance.
Josh: Sash?! Seth?! What are you guys doing here?
Sasha: Well, let's just say you guys weren't the only couple from Raw to get shaken up...
Seth: And also, the US title and IC title were gonna be switching as well, so in a way, I kinda had to switch, with Lana and Rusev off to Raw with his US title.
Josh: Ahh, so who else switched?
Sasha: Naomi, and the Usos, and a few others. Becky and Charlotte as well, they're on Raw.
Finn: Oh well, you girls will have to wait for your 4 horsewomen reunion...
Bayley: It'll come, soon enough...
Lexi: I kinda feel left out of all this 4 horsewomen business...
As the group spoke, Smackdown GM Paige then interrupted.
Paige: So, our new arrivals... welcome to you all! I guess I'd better tell you what the plan is for each of you. First, Lexi and Josh, seeing the success you two had on Raw, we're gonna keep you together for a short feud with The Miz and Maryse, and then after that, both of you will qualify for your Money In The Bank matches in couple of months time.
Josh: Wow! Will we be winning the briefcases?
Paige: I'll be telling you at a later date, but right now, we are definitely thinking of having the first ever Mr and Mrs Money In The Bank with you two.
Lexi: Wow! That's amazing!
Paige: As for you, Finn, we're gonna be reuniting you with your old feuding partner, Samoa Joe, for the WWE title, And Seth, at Backlash, you're gonna be putting that title on the line against the winner of a 20 man battle royal, which is going down next week.
Finn nodded in approval, while Seth smiled at the thought of who he could be facing.
Paige: And as for you Sash, and Bayley, I feel like it's about time you two stole the spotlight once again, so next week, you two will be in two triple threat matches to determine who will face the Smackdown Women's Champion, Peyton Royce in another triple threat at Backlash.
Sasha: And we'll be winning them?
Paige: Yep. Sasha, you'll be against Naomi and Mandy, and Bayley, you'll be against Sonya and Billie. Now, I've gotta go for a meeting, so I'll catch you guys later! Have fun tonight!
Paige then dashed off, leaving the group to split up and go to get ready. After the match, in which Josh and Finn got the win for their team by hitting their finishers on Sheamus and Cesaro at the same time, they went back to their hotel, and Josh was in deep thought.
Lexi: Babe? You okay?
Josh: It's just... this is a huge step for me, potentially becoming Mr Money In The Bank...
Lexi: Hey, imagine how I'm feeling, I'm really nervous...
Josh: At least we've got this feud with Miz and Maryse to keep us occupied until then.
Lexi: Yeah... true. But neither of those still stop me from missing Ethan.
Josh: Yeah, me too, but we're going home tomorrow, so we'll see him then.
Lexi: I know what they mean by having a mother's instinct now...
After a couple of months, Lexi and Josh's personal rivalry with Miz and Maryse concluded with a mixed tag match at Backlash, which Lexi won with a Twisted Bliss on Miz from the top of Josh's shoulders, their attention was now solely focused on Money In The Bank. 2 weeks before the pay-per-view, they had their qualifying matches. Josh beat Luke Harper to qualify, while Lexi won a fatal 4-way match including Bayley, Sonya and Billie by pinning the Aussie. Pretty soon, they arrived at the PPV in Los Angeles, along with Ethan, Callum and Ellie.
Josh: Wow, my first time in LA, and what a time to be here, with us two on the verge of becoming Mr and Mrs Money In The Bank.
Lexi: Couldn't be a better place... but I can't wait to be called Mrs Stevens for the first time.
Josh: Well, I know the perfect time to have the wedding, and the perfect place to have it...
Lexi: Go on, tell me...
Josh: Hollywood.
Lexi: That'd be amazing! I'd love that!
While they were deep in conversation, Callum and Ellie had joined them in their locker room, with Ellie holding Ethan, who cooed at the sight of his parents.
Lexi: Hey, baby!
Lexi then took hold of her son, who was making funny noises.
Josh: Those noises sure are weird...
Ellie: Well, what do you expect from a 4 month old?
Josh: True... come on Lexi, you're up, go make us proud.
Lexi blushed as she made her way to the gorilla for her Money In The Bank match. After half an hour, and several painful moments during the match, including Ember hitting the Eclipse from the top of the ladder on Carmella, and Lexi pushing the ladder down with all her strength as Nia and Asuka battled for the briefcase, Lexi herself managed to collect the briefcase after delivering a stiff right to Ruby, causing her to fall off the top and through a ladder which was set up earlier. She celebrated her win and headed backstage, where everyone was waiting to congratulate her.
Josh: Wow... Just... wow. Frankly, I'll be amazed if the men's match can top that! You showed superhuman strength pushing that ladder down, babe!
Lexi: My arms still hurt from doing that, but it didn't stop me! Anyway, enough about my win, now it's time for my handsome fiance to go out there and that a briefcase of his own...
Josh smirked as he kissed Lexi and made his way to gorilla. This would not be a match for the fainthearted, with Josh, Braun, Dolph, Drew, Bobby Roode, AJ, Miz, and Daniel all vying for the briefcase. After several spots, including Daniel jumping from the top of the ladder onto every participant, and Braun picking up Dolph and Drew at the same time and hitting a powerslam on both of them on a ladder, the way seemed clear for Josh to collect the case, but out of nowhere, AJ and Daniel rushed up, got Josh in position and hit a double team suplex on Josh, sending him through 2 tables. As they then fought for the case, they both fell down courtesy of Roode, and after cleaning house, he tried to get the case, but Josh then springboarded out of nowhere onto the ladder, and got the case before Roode did. Everyone was in disbelief, but none more so than Lexi.
Lexi: Holy... Did he just pull that off?!
Callum: Yep... that's my brother... a real tough guy.
Ethan crawled towards the TV, which showed Josh holding the case, and he laughed as Josh then went backstage and met up with Lexi and everyone.
Lexi: I'm so proud of you babe... we did it! Mr and Mrs Money In The Bank!
Josh: My back still hurts from that suplex, but... yeah, we did it! Come on, let's go see Ethan and the others...
They returned to see Ethan in Ellie's arms, and as she gave him to his mum, Lexi hugged him with what little energy she had left.
Ethan: M-ma... Mama...
Everyone was in shock as to what had just happened, with Ellie, Lexi and even Callum shedding tears at witnessing a proud moment for Ethan.
Ellie: D-did he just...
Callum: Yeah, I think he did...
Ethan then looked at Josh before...
Ethan: D-Dada...
Josh smiled widely as he was also in shock as to what he had just witnessed.
Josh: His first words... I'm proud of you, kiddo!
The 5 were then left to savour the remains for the night, rejoicing in their success...
