Your POV
Things seemed to have changed. I didn't know why. One day, I was a perfectly capable, independent(ish) women, in their eyes. The next, I've become like a f*cking toddler.
It's always, "Oh, that looks like too much for you," from them at a restaurant.
Or, "No, let me get that for you," when I'm perfectly capable of reaching to a high shelf. That's a funny thing, actually. I used to hop onto the counter to grab things from cabinets, and they were fine with it! But now? Nope! What the hell is up with that?
~
We were currently at a restaurant. To be perfectly honest, after the way they were treating me, I didn't really wanna be there. Yet they were clueless to my feelings about it.
The guys exchanged what they were getting and Alex looked at me. "What're you getting, love?"
I scanned the menu briefly. "Err, probably (F/F)."
Herc frowned slightly. "Isn't that a bit much of a serving for you?"
I shot him a look. "Umm, no? I've gotten this same thing many times in the past, you guys."
"It just seems like a bit much," Laf spoke.
To my relief, the waiter showed up. I was about to order when Alex did it for me, ordering the smaller, not-so-filling size.
I rolled my eyes as they ordered their things and the waiter walked away. "Oh for Christ's sake..."
~
I opened the door to our apartment and immediately started our bedroom. I was still hungry, but I'd solve that problem later.
I was grabbing my lyric book for all Maria, Theo, and I's songs (thas right b*tch yOU IN A BAND WITH THEM), when I heard someone walk in.
"You alright, baby girl? You've been tense since dinner."
"I'm fine, John," I muttered, setting the journal in my (S/F/C) bag.
"Maybe you should head to bed, you might be tired.."
"I'm not tired, John. Besides, it's literally only six-thirty!"
I brushed past him, swinging my bag over my shoulder. I heard him follow behind me but I kept walking. "I'm heading out!"
I ignored their words of protests, and decided for an even measure to close the door with more force when all I heard was...
"But it's getting dark out!"
"You shouldn't be alone!"
I pulled out my phone, texting Maria and Theo to meet me at the local diner. I already had our next song's lyrics running through my mind.
~
"Lemme guess hun, they're at it again?"
"Yes! It hasn't even stopped though!"
I vented my frustrations and I pulled out our lyric book. I jotted down some of the sentences I thought of and slid it across the table to them. "This, is what I'm thinking."
Maria nodded as she read and Theo giggled.
"Perfect comeback, (N/N). I love it," Maria said.
With their help, we spent the next few hours jotting down lyrics and thinking of the beats. And when the diner closed, we all went to Theo's apartment, and I didn't go home that night.
~ timeskip! ~
"Welcome everyone, The Treble Makers!" (lmao gotcha with the puns)
Maria, Theo, and I waved to all the fans. We were a well-loved band. I couldn't wait for them to hear what we had in store.
"Good evening y'all! How are you guys out there?" Maria called into the mic.
There was different screams and replies and I smiled.
"Perfect! To kick things off tonight, we're gonna start with our newest song that hasn't been released yet!" I exclaimed, making the crowd go crazy.
"That's right! Enjoy 'Seashore'!" Theo responded.
I saw the guys in the crowd, watching excitedly, and I smirked, looking away from them and to the crowd.
I started off the little riff on my guitar, leaning to the mic. "You're talkin' to me like a child. Hey I've got news, I'm not a little girl. And no, I won't give you a little twirl."
"You're talkin' to me like I'm sad. Hey, I've got news, I'm not doin' too bad. Even though sometimes I might get real mad," Maria sang.
"You're talkin' to me like a child. But my words are growin' stronger. And my legs keep gettin' longer," Theo finished the first part of the song before the chorus.
We all sang together next, the fans cheering. "I'm like nobody else, so you can just go f*ck yourself! I do a lot of stupid stuff, but don't act like you're so tough."
"You're talkin' to me like I'm dumb. Well I've got news, I've got a lot to say. There's nothing you can do to take that away." That was Theo.
"You're talkin' to me like I'm hurt. Well at least I'm not six feet in the dirt. And I'll still kick your *ss even in my skirt." Maria.
"You're talkin' to me like a child. But I'm not a helpless baby. Not waitin' on you to come save me," I sang, looking right at the boys. I could see they were starting to realize what the song was about as guilt started crossing their faces. I only smirked, looking away from them. I winked at the crowd, making them cheer.
"I'm like nobody else, so you can just go f*ck yourself! I do a lot of stupid stuff, but don't act like you're so tough. Fight fire with fire and you'll get burned. Hey, I think right about now is your turn! Earplugs won't save you anymore. They'll leave you washed up on the seashore!" We all sang that again, and I sang the last verse before we all sang together again.
I was particularly excited about my last part. "You're talkin' to me like a b*tch. Do you ever hear the way that you speak? Don't have to be so mean just 'cause you're weak."
To make it better for myself, I looked them right in their eyes as I sang, another smirk on my face and my (E/C) eyes fiery. They definitely knew now.
"I'm like nobody else, so you can just go f*ck yourself! I do a lot of stupid stuff, but don't act like you're so tough. Fight fire with fire and you'll get burned. Hey, I think right about now is your turn! Earplugs won't save you anymore. They'll leave you washed up on the seashore!" We finished the chorus and I did the last little riff as the crowd cheered like crazy.
The three of us smiled at each other and went to our next song on the set-list.
~ after the show ~
I waved goodbye to Theo and Maria as I found my four boyfriends. Reluctantly, I walked over to them, electric guitar still strapped to my back.
I approached them, arms crossed.
"I.. We're sorry. We should have realized we were babying you," John said quietly, hazel eyes looking at me sheepishly.
"It's... fine. Just don't let it happen again, for the love of God."
They all nodded and I felt John's hand grab mine, making me smile. We started our way out, and for the first time in a while, it felt like they wouldn't be on the seashore any longer.
