Several days later...
I am chomping at the bit, still in the dark over Miyoko's dreams.
(And even if I ask her straight out she'll just be embarrassed and won't tell me...)
I think to myself on my way to the living room.
As I enter the living room someone crashed into me.
"S-sorry! I was daydreaming and...uh?"
"Ah, Mina."
"I'm sorry too...I was in a hurry..."
"Um...Why are you looking at me like that?"
"You need to ask...?"
Gazing at her from head to toe, mesmerize by her completely different look. Wearing a Grey suit she stood up with a confident smile.
"Where's the meeting?"
"What meeting?! She asked confusedly.
"Do you like it? I only just bought it so it's brand new! Does it suit me?" she asked with an awkward smile.
"You look like a CEO of a big company that's going to close a huge deal."
"Shut up." She said while punching me in the shoulder.
"Well, yeah. It's both spunky and cute."
"You think so?! Ehehehehe~"
"Ooops! I don't have to time to be flattered! I'm really in a hurry! Move, Move!"
"Oh!? Uh, sorry!"
I quickly move out of her way and she immediately runs straight up the stairs. At the same time Raika walks down them.
"Good morning, Mina. Did you see what Miyoko is wearing?"
"Y-yeah, compare to her usual sporty get out it's refreshing to see her in a suit."
"It looks like she's going out somewhere in that today." She said.
"I hope no clue..."
(Was it something have to do with her dream?)
Raika gives me a curious look.
"Huh? You don't know what her dream is, do you?"
"I thought for sure that she must have told you..."
"She didn't she gets too embarrassed when I asked her about it."
"Really?"
"Well, she won't tell me either."
"What? Really? I thought she might tell you, now I'm really curious."
A smirk forms on Raika's lips.
"Hey Mina."
"Yes?"
"If you really want to know what her dream is..."
"Why don't we follow her around?"
"What?"
My eyes widen at this surprising proposal,
"F-follow her?!"
"Yes, you want to know what her dream is, don't you?"
"If she won't tell us when we have the option of seeing for ourselves in secret."
"b-but..."
Then...
(huh? What the...?)
I turn around at the sound of someone running down the stairs.
It was Rei and Yomiko rushing towards us it seems that they've seen Miyoko and were surprised by her get up."
"Hey did you guys see?!" said Yomiko.
"Calm down Rei, Yomiko..." said Raika calming to two down.
Then she explains the situation and also makes mention of the plan to follow her.
"I see... I am curious to know what her dream might be..." said Yomiko.
"Should we all follow her then? Suggested Raika.
"Yeah!" replied Yomiko enthusiastically.
"I...I'm curious too..." said Rei a bit hesitating.
"Me too." Joined Kasumi
Everyone has come on board for her plan, and so Raika looks at me.
"So what are you going to do, Mina?"
"Uh...I..."
Just then...
The footstep of Miyoko rushing down the stairs hurl across the hallway.
"I'm all set to go!"
She comes back down to the first floor, having finished getting ready.
"Oh, hey guys, what are you up to?" she asked innocently.
"What's going on? Why are you all standing here?"
"If you're talking about going out somewhere I want in!" she added.
Raika gins broadly at her.
"Never mind us Miyoko, now shouldn't you be leaving? I thought you were in a hurry?"
"Oh! That's right! I am!" she looks at us with a longing expression.
"Argh...all right, but tell me what you were all talking about later, okay?" Giving each of us strange looks she heads out to the hallway entrance.
"Good luck with whatever you're doing." I said waving her goodbye.
"And don' leave me out of anything!" she added,
"Ahahaha, don't you worry, now, get going already."
Placated by these words, she makes her way to the front door.
"Okay! I'm going now!"
She waves her hand widly as she runs out the door. Within seconds Raika and the other residents follow after her in the shadows.
"Let's go everyone! We're going on a Miyoko hunt!" said Yomiko cheerily.
"Y-Yuu...be quiet or she'll hear you..." worried Kasumi.
"Ah, right...Hurry up, but be quite about it." Smirked Yomiko making a shushing gesture.
(She's really enjoying this isn't she?)
"Try to hurry quietly? That sounds hard but I'll try..." said Rei crouching next to Kasumi.
(They're all really getting into this...)
Raika is on the back of the group while Yuu is leading turns back to me.
"Come on, Mina."
"Uh...bah, screw it."
"Then let's go!" she giggled at my defeat.
And so...
The members of the Famille' begin tailing Miyoko.
We whisper to one another, making sure we don't lose sight of her.
"Where is she off to..?" wondered Raika.
"Oh, she's stopped in front of the bookstore." Notice Rei.
"Maybe she's going to buy some books to study." Guess Kasumi
We look at each other at Kasumi's guess then.
"Nah!" all of us said in unison.
Holding our giggles and laughter by covering our mouths we try to blend in the crowd to hide in plain sight.
"The latest volume of manga catalogue is out today." Said Yomiko.
Oh, that might be it she looks like she really wants it too.
(Is she going to buy it?)
But then she looks at her watch and..
"Ah...she's power walking now." Noticed Yomiko.
"I guess she remembered shes' in a hurry." Giggled Raika.
Or so we thought...
She was blocked by a shop assistant in front of a cake shop.
"Welcome to our store! Care to try to free sample of our new sponge cake?" said the shop assistant.
"Oh, she went inside the cake shop." Said Rei
(So she's not in a hurry after all?)
Walking casually out of the store immensely eating a piece of cake that she got from the shop then...
"Ah!"
"And she's come back to her senses again." Said Raika with a blank stare.
"Ahahaha, oh, Miyoko..." giggled Rei.
"But...this gives us no clues as to what her dream is or where she's going?" wallowed Kasumi
"You're right." Agreed Yomiko.
While we are talking Miyoko speeds off into the shopping arcade.
"Ah! We're losing her!" said Rei worriedly.
"Hurry, Hurry!" rushed Raika.
We race after her.
Then Miyoko stops dead in her tracks, making us apply our breaks as well.
Then...
"Oh, no! Miyoko's turning this way!"
"Quick everyone, hide!"
I immediately duck behind a power pole.
"Move over, Mina!" said Yomiko pushing herself into my corner
"She'll see us!" said Rei joining Yomiko
"Why are you all coming here?!"
"It's not like we can help it, there's nowhere else to hide!" she hurled.
"You can't hide here either, there's only one power pole!"
"Quite everyone!" said Raika. Who's hiding behind a mailbox in front of us.
Miyoko looks around with an odd look on her face, searching...
"We're going to get spotted?!"
"I get the feeling I'm being followed..." she said as she inch closer to our hiding spots.
We almost hold out our breath Rei and Yomiko hiding behind me trying to squeeze their way in. Raika making a shushing gesture at us and Kasumi holding a book up to cover her face in the near bargain books kiosk just next to where Miyoko is standing.
"Must just be my imagination..." she cocks her head to one side, then continues walking.
After the initial shock is gone. We all sigh in exasperation.
"It's a miracle she didn't see us..."
"Now, now that's a good thing."
We all sigh in relief.
Reenergized we resume tailing her once more.
"I'm here!"
We reach Miyoko's destination.
"This is where she wanted to go..?" wallowed Yomiko.
"But this is an elementary school..."
