Annie's POV
I get up on this glorious Friday morning and get dressed in a black tank top tucked into black and white striped high waisted short shorts. My shoes are black combat booties. I put my hair in a side braid. I head downstairs and grab an apple and start walking to school. Some of you might be wondering, 'Aren't you going to get dress coded for your shorts?' Well the answer to that is no. I will not be dress coded because there is no dress code.
I get to school, put my stuff in my locker and go to homeroom. Kayla and Harriet call me over to sit near them so I do. We start talking about the project for social studies until Mrs. Wissenchaft asks everyone to have a seat so she can talk to us a little bit. She starts to talk about how Halloween is coming and so we will have to start thinking of ideas for the class costume. I'm not sure what that means but I'm sure it has something to do with the class dressing in some sort of themed costume.
At lunch I notice that Harriet, Kayla, Iris, Serbrina, and Paisley are all wearing similar bracelets. I'm going to assume it's their friendship bracelet because it's all the same pattern just different colors. "What's the class costume thing Mrs. Wissenchaft was talking about?" I ask. "Every year for Halloween each class has to think of a Halloween theme and the whole class has to dress according to that theme" Paisley answers. "Ok. I thought that's what it was but I wasn't sure." I say continuing to put cool ranch Doritos in my mouth.
