"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...."
"Chaeng!"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"Chaeng, come on, why are you laughing?" Lisa asked with a confused grin on her face.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, just... just give me a second, please HAHAHAHAHAHA" Chaeyoung was on the floor of the dance hall, laughing.
Jennie and Lisa came earlier and saw that the 9-member group was already there, waiting for their training session. Chaeyoung and Jisoo greeted Lisa but they stood on their marks, wanting to be professional. Lisa enthusiastically waved back, leaving Jennie room to talk to the group in a professional manner.
Jennie then showed the group a couple of moves regarding the choreography for Whistle and then she let everyone practice it to the music.
She was sitting on the side of the dance hall with Lisa, chuckling and giggling with nothing particular in mind. The duo were just happily sitting there, enjoying their time together.
"They really are doing well, even though they barely started working together." Lisa commented quietly.
"I know, right? They could be huge!" Jennie was proud of the work the group had done so far. "I was even thinking of reducing the time that I spend on my projects to help them out more."
"Oh really? Look at mommy Jennie looking out for her cubs!" Lisa teased.
"Haha I just remembered how I felt when I started out and I really appreciated all the help I could get. Don't get me wrong, there is a whole team working with them, but you know... If I could help out more, that would be great. My team told me I could work with them as much or as little as I want so..."
"Wow... That's so great of them to allow that... And so great of you that you want to help them out... I'm... I'm proud! You go Jennie!" Lisa cheered on and they both just chuckled.
After a while, the group decided to take a break from doing the choreography so that they could drink a bit of water and relax for a moment. While the other girls went outside of the dance hall, Chaeyoung went to Jennie and Lisa so that they could all relax together. Lisa and Chaeyoung finally hugged each other and then Jennie spoke:
"It's good that you came here, actually"
"Oh, why is that?" She asked with a smile.
Jennie and Lisa then looked at each other with huge grins on their faces and then looked at Chaeyoung.
"Lisa... She's your garbage, you tell her!" Jennie told Lisa.
Lisa then explained what had happened and how she asked Jennie to be her girlfriend. This is when Chaeyoung's laughter came in and she was still on the floor rolling. Jennie and Lisa were confused by her reaction but waited patiently for her reply.
"Okay... Huh... Okay, I think I'm done with laughing." Chaeyoung calmed herself down from the laughter.
"Now do you wanna tell us why you laughed so hard?" Lisa asked with a smirk.
"Huh... Okay, first, congratulations!" Chaeyoung then hugged both Jennie and Lisa together which they both appreciated.
"Second... I laughed because... It's funny to me how you both mentioned you wanted to take things slow and then BAM! - one month later Lisa comes back to Korea for one short weekend and this happens! Don't get me wrong..." she then wiped a tear that was appearing in her eye from her previous laughter. She continued:
"... But you two are so freaking whipped for each other that it's honestly just funny... I mean, it's adorable, but the way you handled the situation is comedy gold!"
Lisa and Jennie blushed from Chaeyoung's explanation, even covering up their faces with their hands upon the realization they were both experiencing now.
"You dorks... You freaking dorks!" Chaeyoung teased some more.
Lisa then hugged Jennie from the side and kissed the top of Jennie's head:
"We are dorks. But we're dorky for each other too!" Lisa's comment made them all chuckle.
"Who knows what would have happened if y'all went fast... By some miracle, you would probably be pregnant, maybe have a dog, and a house-"
"...And we would have you as our maid!" Lisa stopped Chaeyoung's teasing and they all laughed.
"But seriously though... Congratulations! I'm happy for the both of you... Now Lisa might even shower every once in a while since she has a girlfriend..."
"Oh, I witnessed my first "garbage" joke, I'm so happy!" Jennie chimed in and they all chuckled at her cuteness. She then added:
"I really appreciate your approval, Chaeng, I know Lisa is like family to you." She spoke humbly.
"And I really appreciate you Jennie, for everything!" Chaeyoung then hugged Jennie.
"Awww isn't this sweet?" Lisa commented and they all giggled happily.
Soon, the rest of the girls returned into the room so that they could all continue with their dance practice. Before they came in, Jennie and Lisa asked Chaeyoung to not say anything about the relationship because both of them wanted to keep it private as much as possible and they only wanted to share it with the people they cared about. Chaeyoung agreed to this.
Jennie then continued to show some certain moves to the group for the Whistle choreography, explaining how it will be important to keep everyone in sync so that they all look like a group. The group soon continued their choreography without Jennie, who decided to sit next to Lisa once again.
"You really know how to talk to them, you know, to motivate them to be like a group..."
"Well, I do try my best hehe..." Jennie appreciated Lisa's words.
"Almost as if you were in a group yourself, it really feels that way..."
"Well, I've never been in one, as you probably know hehehe" they both chuckled at that "But, working in the music industry, I've witnessed a lot of groups perform and I've hung around group leaders like Jihyo or Irene from Red Velvet or Suho from Exo... and you notice how they treat their members with care so... Those nice moments you see backstage at music events... They kinda stick with you, d'you know what I mean? That feeling of seeing people cooperate... That really stuck by me... And you know, even though I'm a solo artist, I have a team working with me so I know the importance of the fact that everyone has a role and everyone does their job accordingly..."
Lisa was taking in all of this information. She was amazed by the fact that Jennie really was mature and how she learned a lot from her surroundings. She's such an intelligent and caring human being.... I could listen to her all day. She mused.
"I really like you, you know that Jennie?" Lisa spoke because she really had nothing else to say. She just admired Jennie at that moment.
"I really like you too" Jennie responded with a cute smile. Jennie then took Lisa's hands to look at her fingernails:
"I really like these, the colors and the shine look amazing!"
"Oh yeah, I like to clash colors sometimes... So I went with all of them being black, except for one finger on each side... I don't know why, but I chose pink and... Well, there they are! Black and pink!" Lisa giggled at the end of that sentence.
A sudden light bulb turned on above Jennie's head. Clash. Two sides. Two separate things. Black. Pink! THAT'S IT!
"Lisa, you're a genius!" Jennie quickly gave Lisa a kiss on the lips while no one was looking. She was way too excited and she couldn't wait for the group to take another break now.
"I have no idea what you mean but I'm guessing I'll find out soon?" Lisa asked confused.
"Yes, yes you will, as soon as they stop dancing!" Jennie replied happily.
"Okay, then I can't wait for that to happen!" Lisa replied happily as well.
When the group was done with their dancing, Jennie got up from her seat:
"Everyone, you are no longer "Project Worst Name Ever"!" Jennie spoke with a grin on her face and everyone chuckled upon hearing that. She then continued:
"From now on, you will be known as a clash of two worlds: a soft one where you can show off your vulnerable side, and a tough one, where you can show off your strong side. A name that will symbolize the freedom to do both and to be free! Your previous name sort of did that as well, but at least this one won't sound bad... No, in fact, it will sound amazing!"
Everyone was inspired by Jennie's speech and couldn't wait for her to tell them their new name.
"From now on, you will be collectively known as... Blackpink!"
When she finished, there was an approving silence in the room as everyone nodded their heads to the new name.
"That's... Literally a million times better then "Project Pink Punk"!" One of the girls spoke out and everyone agreed.
"Yeah, Blackpink! Awesome!" The group was really proud of their new name and Jennie was very satisfied with their reaction.
"Okay, now... Blackpink... Let's do this part of the choreography one more time, okay?" Jennie encouraged them and everyone was hyped up to continue now that they had a name they were all satisfied with.
When they were done with their dance session, the group went to their dorm. Chaeyoung and Jisoo waved at Jennie and Lisa as the two were heading in a different direction.
"Wow... I didn't know my nails would be the ones giving the group the name hahaha"
"Neither did I but... It just sounded good in my head, you know?"
"It does sound good... Blackpink... I really do like it..." Lisa approved of the new name.
"So... Wanna go get something to eat?"
"I think it was Chaeyoung the Wise who once said "Yes ma'am" when she was asked about getting food" The two chuckled at that response.
The rest of that Saturday was spent hanging out - the two really enjoyed their company as Jennie wanted to show Lisa around as much as possible so that she could see everything she could in Seoul. When the day was done, the duo crashed in Jennie's bed, tired from all the sightseeing.
Jennie was lying on her side of the bed when Lisa all of a sudden spooned her and held her close. A soft smile appeared on both of their faces.
The following day was spent in a similar manner as the previous one - the duo went to see the group and after they were done, they hung around town, enjoying their time together. All the while, Lisa would take as many photos as she could which Jennie appreciated.
The evening came soon and Jennie and Lisa were now at the airport.
"I'm guessing Nayeon should know too..." Lisa smiled as she said that.
"Well, I wanted to tell her while you were here but her schedule is extremely busy these days, so I guess I'll have to do it by myself hehe"
"How do you think she's going to react?"
"Well, I told her we were going to take things slow... So, basically like Chaeyoung? Yeah, probably like Chaeyoung hahaha" they both laughed at that. Lisa then spoke:
"I will miss you... babe!" Oh wow, I said it! I said "babe"! Lisa was proud of herself.
She said "babe"! Aaaaaa! And it was adorable! Okay Jennie, now it's your turn to be cute! Jennie thought to herself.
"I will miss you too... Manobabe!" the two immediately started to laugh at Jennie's new nickname for Lisa.
"...Hahahaha... Oh... And I thought "Bagelisa" was funny.... Oh Jennie, you're the best..." Lisa spoke after they calmed down.
"I do try... Giving names to things might be my new thing!"
"I sure hope it is" They then quickly kissed each other on the lips, not wanting to cause too much attention due to the fact that they wanted to keep things private.
"I'll call you when I get home!"
"Please do!" Jennie replied as the two parted.
There wasn't sadness between them when Lisa left. There was longing for them to see each other, but no sadness, mostly because they knew what they had was strong and they were in love. They felt like they could conquer the world, and the only thing now that they had to do was to wait for Lisa to come to Seoul as soon as possible.
