This is the dress I describe later-
~Tessa's POV~
The next morning, I woke up to the sun.
I stretched and looked at the ceiling.
Then I smiled.
I grabbed my wand and pointed at a pencil on the other side of the room
"Accio pencil!" I said and it flew to me. A pointless thing to do but I did it anyway. Finally I could use magic outside of school. I opened the door and there was a piece of paper on it. I accio-ed it and read it
I stood and stretched. Ginny was yawning and beginning to wake.
"Hey Gin!" I said
"Hm..?" She hummed.
"Your Mom left a note on the door" I said, "we need to dress nice... Do you have a dress I can borrow?"
She nodded and stood. She stretched and went to her closet.
Although she was younger than me, Ginny was the same size as me, maybe a little taller. So her clothes fit me and vice versa.
She handed me a dress. It was knee-length and white. It had designed of blue flowers on it. (you know it already)
I smiled at her "Thanks" I said before going to the restroom to change.
I put on the dress and pulled my hair up.
I looked over my face. I had a small, healing cut on my face from last night's ordeal.
I cleaned it and smiled before heading downstairs. As soon as I got downstairs, I was hugged by Mrs. Weasley.
"Happy birthday dear" she said with a smile. I grinned and hugged her back.
"Thanks" I said.
"You look nice. I made waffles, they're in the kitchen" she said. I grinned and headed down in there
In the kitchen was Harry, George, Fred, and Charlie Weasley.
I smiled as I sat down at the table.
Harry hugged me happily
"Happy Birthday Tessa!" He said
"Happy Birthday Harry" I said, laughing happily
I looked at the others. Charlie wore jeans and a t-shirt and a leather jacket. Harry wore a t shirt with dress pants. The twins wore identical outfits. Both wore dress pants and button up shirts but George wore a blue tie and Fred wore a red one.
The three Weasleys looked up when I came in and smiled at me.
The twins spoke together
"Happy Birthday Tessa" they said
"Thanks guys" I said. I hugged Fred then George. He hugged me back happily
I pulled away and looked at him "How's your ear..?" I asked
"Hurts a bit but otherwise..." He said with a small shrug.
I nodded a little. Harry cleared his throat. I looked at him and blushed. I pulled away from George completely and got some waffles.
"Happy birthday Tessa" Charlie said, patting my head as he walked out of the kitchen
After eating, we went outside where Mr. and Mrs. Weasley had set up a very long table that would fit all of us.
Everyone was dressed very nicely and I smiled, happy to know there were so many who cared about us.
Soon it was time to open gifts. Harry and I both had at least ten presents.
We both a got watches from Mrs. Weasley. Apparently it's traditional for a wizard to get a watch on their seventeenth birthday
(Fun fact. I got a watch for my seventeenth birthday. Coincidence? I think NOT)
I got so many wonderful presents and Harry did too. Finally there were two gifts left. One from me to Harry and the other from Harry to me.
I'd gotten Harry a kit for maintenance on his broom, which he greatly appreciated (I know it was someone else who got that for him but now it's Tessa)
Harry had gotten me a potions kit. I loved potions despite Professor Snape's hatred for me. I smiled and hugged him happily.
Mrs. Weasley brought out the cake. It was wonderful. In both appearance and taste. It was delicious.
Later after everyone had gone inside, I sat outside in silence.
I was watching the sunset when I heard footsteps. A chair appeared beside me and George Weasley sat down.
I looked at him with a smile.
"Hey Tess. Did you have a good birthday?" He asked.
I nodded "I did." I replied, "best I've ever had"
"I'm glad... But I haven't given you my present" he said
"Oh but you did earlier. You and Fred gave us each supplies from your shop" I pointed out.
He chuckled and nodded "yes. But that was the present from both me and Fred. This present is just from me" he explained, reaching into his pocket.
I looked at him "Oh George you didn't have to get me anything" I said
"I know. But I wanted to" he said, giving me a small bag.
Inside the bag were little cloud shaped sweets
"These are just something I've been working on, Fred doesn't actually know about them yet." He explained, "I know how much trouble you've been having sleeping lately... So these help you sleep and give you good dreams... They also taste good"
"Wow George... This is really sweet" I said with a smile, "heh pun intended"
"That's not all" he said, pulling something else out of his pocket.
He handed me a small box.
I gave him a slightly confused look
"Open it" he said with a small smile.
I nodded and opened the box. I gasped softly. Inside was a beautiful necklace. It was shaped like a crescent moon. It looked like it had a built in lava lamp, little blobs of green and purple swirling around it.
"Wow... George..." I said quietly.
"It reflects your emotions... Different combinations mean different things. Yellow and blue mean happy, just blue means sadness, purple and green are neutral, red and pink are anger, just green is jealousy, black and orange is stressed or nervous, and others" he explained, taking the necklace from me.
He gently clipped it around my neck. The colors inside swirled around for a moment and changed into a combination of blue and yellow. He smiled as he looked at it.
"I'm glad you like it" he said with a chuckle, looking at me. I grinned at him.
"I love it... Thank you George... This is really sweet" I said. He smiled a bit, looking at me
He leaned a little closer to me. I furrowed my brows slightly then realized what he was doing. He kept leaning in and I felt my nerves take over.
He glanced down and smiled softly. He stopped leaning in and ruffled my hair. Then he stood
"See you tomorrow Tess. Happy birthday" he said, walking back toward the house with his hands in his pockets
"Huh..?" I mumbled. I looked at my necklace and saw that it was orange now. It showed that I was nervous. It really worked.
I smiled and grasped it. I stood up and walked back to the house
