Quick update
The morning of the dinner with his parents. It's currently 8 in the morning on Saturday and Rose will be staying at Daniel's family's house till Monday morning.
Rose's P.O.V
I woke up earlier then I usually do on normal Saturday mornings. But today wasn't just any day, I quickly got out of bed to take a shower.
After the shower I brushed my wet hair and used a blow dryer to dry it. Then I got dressed and looked everywhere for my favorite pairs of shoes, luckily I finally found them under my bed and put them on.
I walked around my room making sure that I had everything I needed in my bag since I was staying over for a couple of days. Once I finally was ready I went to the kitchen to eat some breakfast.
Ding
It was Daniel as usual texting me good morning and asking for a picture of my baby bump.
So I have about an hour until he comes, I should probably say bye to Makayla.
I walked to Makayla's room and jumped on her bed.
"Five more minutes." She begged
"You forgot that it's Saturday?"
"Then leave me alone and let me sleep." She replied with a raspy voice
"I just wanted to say bye because I'm leaving for the weekend." Once I said that she opened her eyes and sat on her bed.
"I forgot. So are you excited to meet his family?"
"I'm nervous actually."
"Why?"
"What about if they don't like me?" I questioned her
"Then they are crazy if they don't like you! Why does it matter so much what they think?"
"I don't know I just want them to like me. I'm also worried about what they might think my intentions were with getting pregnant."
"What do you mean by that?"
"They might think I did it for the money or something."
"They won't and if they do it doesn't matter."
"I guess it shouldn't." I said while shrugging
"So are you done packing?" She asked
"Of course. What are you going to do with the apartment all for yourself?" I curiously asked her
"Probably walk around naked." She said
"Really!?" I replied trying to hold in my laughter
"Yeah duh, you would do that to!" She replied giggling
"True" I laughed back
"So where does his family live?" She asked
"Tampa, it's almost 5 hours away from here"
"Well at least you finally get to leave Miami." She said trying to cheer me up
"True" I simply answered
"So when is he coming to pick you up?" She asked with a smirk on her face
"I'm pretty sure before 10 since he said his coming at 10 and he is always early." I said while checking my phone to see the time.
9:30 am
Ding Dong Ding Dong
I guess his here, I slowly walk to the front door trying to give me some extra seconds to calm down my nerves.
But Makayla quickly ran to the door and opened it. Uh really did she really just do that. She knows how nervous I am why didn't she just let me have those extra seconds to calm myself down.
Daniel greeted her and she welcomed him inside.
The first thing he did was look at me then smiled to himself.
"Weirdo" I thought
"I can help you with that." He said while taking my bags out of my hands.
"You don't have to do that I'm okay." I told him
"No it's fine I want to make sure you and the babies are okay and safe." He replied
"Aww!" Makayla said out of nowhere
I almost forgot that she was even there, really you just had to ruin the moment
Daniel and I walked outside to his car after I said my goodbyes to Makayla.
I'm going to miss her even though sometimes I want to strangle her.
Once we got inside the car Daniel turned it on and finally said something to me.
"How are you feeling?" He asked
"I'm okay, you?"
"I'm good but I meant how are you feeling about meeting my family."
"Oh that, um I don't know I'm kinda nervous." I replied honestly
"Why?"
"What if they don't like me?"
"Then they are crazy and I'm sure they are going to like you."
"Are you sure?" I questioned
"Positive." He said while nodding
I sighed and he started driving off
After like 5 minutes into the car ride I feel asleep
2:45 pm
I felt something shake me lightly and someone telling me to wake up
I slowly opened my eyes and saw that it was Daniel that had woken me from my slumber
I rubbed my eyes and tried to wake myself up because after naps I wake up feeling more sleepy.
"We are only five minutes away." Daniel said
"Okay" I replied nervously
"Don't worry it's going to be okay." he said while grabbing my hand with his free hand that's not on the steering wheel.
Five minutes later we arrived at a really big house well more like mansion and I immediately felt out of place
"Wow" I said and awe
"You like it?" he asked sounding a little cocky
"Is this were you grew up?" I asked
"Yeah pretty much besides the other houses my parents own but I was mostly raised here." he said
"Oh okay that's cool." I smiled at him
"You ready to go?" He asked
"Yeah let's go before I have second thoughts and try to run away " I say sarcastically
He just shook his head and laughed
Once we got out of the car some random man came and took our bags
"Rose this is are butler Charlie" Daniel sated
"Nice to meet you Charlie" I greeted him
"Nice to meet you too Ms. Crystal." He smiled
I was confused for a second because I didn't tell him my last name before he said. "Mr. Rivers had already informed me about you."
"Oh okay, well you can call me Rose instead"
"Okay Ms. Rose nice to meet you" He said before walking inside the house
I squeezed Daniel's hand and he walked me inside with him in front of me and I following him slowly
He looked back and saw that I was five feet away from him so he walked towards me and grabbed my hand.
"Come on they are waiting for us."
"Okay" I said while taking a deep breath and walking ahead of him.
Once we arrived at the door it opened by itself and there was a middle aged couple standing in front of us
"Son I'm so glad you made it safely." Daniel's mom said while pulling him into a hug
"Nice to see you too." Daniel said while pulling out of the hug
Then he hugged who I only could assume could be his father
His mother looked at me and I quickly got nervous but instead of giving me a nasty look like I expected she pulled me into a hug
"Nice to finally meet you Rosalie, Daniel has told me a lot about you." She smiled
"Nice to meet you too Mrs. Rivers" I said while pulling out of the hug
"Oh call me Caitlin sweetheart" She hums
"Okay nice to meet you Caitlin"
Then his father came and hugged me
"Finally I'm going to be a grandfather!" He said
"Nice to meet you to Mr. Riv..." I said but he cut me off
"No need to be so formal sweetheart we are practically family now call me Cameron" He replied
I smiled at them both and felt relief that they were so nice to me and welcoming
"Well come inside lunch is almost ready" Caitlin said
Once we got inside it was hard for me to resist the urge to touch everything that was shiny. I know I sound like a child but everything was shiny and looked expensive.
We walked to the dining room and were meet by a girl that looks only a few years older than Daniel
She looked at Daniel and rolled her eyes at him and looked at me and brought me into a hug
"I'm so glad I finally got to meet you Rose I'm Dakota Daniel's older sister." She introduced herself
"By only 2 years." Daniel scoffed
"That still makes me older." She glared at him
"Whatever." He replied rolling his eyes
While they bickered I just giggled
"So you think it's funny that she likes to rub her age at me." Daniel dramatically commented
"Well it is kinda hilarious how annoyed your getting over something so small." I giggled
He rolled his eyes at me
"Your such a child bro." She laughed
Once there little fight was over she hugged him and we all sat down to eat
"Daniel I cooked you your favorite." His mother said while handing him a bowl of mash potatoes.
He had the biggest smile on his face once he saw the bowl of mash potatoes. I could even see his dimples which are the cutest thing ever.
I ended up talking to all of them and they asked me about my life as I learned more about them. They are very friendly and made me feel the same feeling I get when I'm with my family.
"So are you ready to tell them the news about the twins yet?" Daniel whispered in my hear
"Yeah" I whispered back
"We have something to tell you guys." he started off
"About what?" Dakota asked
"The baby." He replied
"Don't tell me there is something wrong with the baby!" His mother said with a worried look on here face
"No it's not that!" Daniel and I replied together
"Ok, then what is it." She asked anxiously
"We are expecting twins!" We replied
"What?!" Dakota asked
"We are having twins." I replied
"Oh my gosh I'm so excited for you guys." She smiled
"I can't believe I'm going to be a grandmother twice." His mother commented
"Well I'm glad to hear that." His father congratulated us
"Sweetheart you should eat some more potatoes, you are eating for three now." Caitlin added
After lunch Daniel had a work call and his parents went off to run some errands so Dakota offered to give me a house tour.
Afterwards we walked upstairs
"This is going to be your bedroom for the time that you stay here. By the way your bags are inside the closet." Dakota informed
She walked to the door that was next to the closet door which was opened.
"And this is your bathroom." She said while motioning to the closed door next to the closet
"Thank you for welcoming me." I thanked
"It's my pleasure you are family now." She nodded
"That made my heart swell. aww 🥰 they already considered me family." I thought
"So do you want to take a nap or something I bet caring around twins is exhausting."
"Well I took a nap in the car so I'm fine for now."
"Okay." She nodded
We awkwardly just sat on the bed until I broke the silence.
"So do you live here or do you have your own place?" I asked
"No I don't live here I just came over to meet you and spend time with my family for the weekend."
"By the way I'm 29 years old, that would be pretty sad if I still lived with my parents."
"There's people that do that." I commented
"But I'm not one of them." She replied
"I see that but still we shouldn't judge people that do."
"Ok fine you have a point. So are you excited for the babies"
"Yeah of course I am but I'm also nervous about being a mom." I answered honestly
"I bet you will get the hang of it once the babies get here." She reassured
"So do you want kids?" I asked
"Yeah in the near future but my husband and I are to busy for that right now."
"Wait I didn't know you were married?"
"Didn't you see my ring." she said while showing me her ring finger.
"I guess I didn't see it, so why didn't he come?"
"He had to go to a business trip in New York"
"Really, I've always wanted to go to New York."
"Maybe one day Daniel can take you, he has a house in Upstate New York."
"I figured he would."
"So um I feel like I've been talking to much. It's your turn to talk to me about something."
"Ok fine so next weekend I'm going to tell my parents that I'm expecting twins and they are going to be meeting Daniel for the first time." I say nervously
"I'm sure it will be alright." She smiled
"No that's not why I'm nervous."
"Then what is it?" She asked
"So I haven't told my sister that I'm pregnant." I confessed
"First of all why didn't you tell her and secondly I didn't know you had siblings."
"I come from a big family so I have 4 siblings and a ton of cousins."
"So do you have brothers or sisters?" She asked curiously
"I have a younger brother and sister and an older brother and sister. I'm stuck in the middle and I haven't told my older sister that I'm pregnant."
"Why not?" She asked still confused
"Because she just found out recently that she can't have children and I don't want her to feel some negative kind of way." I replied honestly
"She's your sister, I'm pretty sure she will be excited to be an Aunt."
"Your probably right." I nodded
"So do you have anything that you like to do for fun or like what's your dream job?" She asked changing the subject
"I love photography and I work at a studio and get to take pictures of families or things for events it's very fun I enjoy it very much." I smiled
"That's nice."
The rest of the day went by normally, she asked me questions about my life and I asked her about her life.

Time skip cause I'm lazy
6:15 p.m
Me and Dakota spent most of the day talking.
Daniel came in around 4 but left a couple minutes later because he was getting another business call but i didn't mind since I had Dakota to keep me company.
She was very nice to me and I didn't even notice that the time went by so fast.
Around 6 we got called downstairs by Charlie saying that dinner was ready. And I'm starving so that's what I'm going to do right now.
Once we arrived at the dining table we were welcomed by Caitlin and Cameron. Daniel came about a couple minutes later and sat next to me. We started eating and talking about random stuff.
"So what did you do today Danny?" Caitlin asked
"How many times do I have to remind you not to call me that." He replied while his mother just rolled her eyes at him.
"Ok Daniel what did you do today?" She asked with a bit of annoyance in her tone.
"I had to do some work stuff so I was gone most of the day after we ate lunch."
"I told you no work stuff this weekend." His mom complained
"I know but it's not like I can just chose to stop working whenever I want unless I want to company to go crazy without me." He stated
She turned away from her son and looked at me. "So how was your day sweetie?" She asked
"It was good, Dakota gave me a house tour and we talked most of the day." I replied
"That's nice of her, Cameron and I were busy with errands today but tomorrow we would like to spend the day together all of us without any distractions." She said looking at Daniel but he just brushed it off and continued eating his food.
They asked me about my family and about how the babies are doing and all that other stuff. After dinner I was about to take a shower when I heard a knock at the door.
Once I opened the door I saw a shirtless Daniel with only swimming trunks on. Not gonna lie his looking good with his toned body and everything but I shouldn't be thinking that.
"So I was wondering if you would want to go in the hot tub with me since I don't want to go alone and Dakota said that she doesn't want to wet her hair." He asked curiously
"So I'm your second option... ouch." I replied pretending like I was actually hurt
"No I didn't mean it in that way."
"I'm just kidding I know you didn't mean it that way. Fine I'll go with you."
"Okay I will meet you there." he said relieved that I wasn't actually offended
I tied my hair up in a braid and put on a one piece swimsuit then walked outside to the backyard. While walking over there I slipped on the wet tile floors and for a second or two I was going to fall.
Until I felt two bigs strong arms wrap around the back of my waist and pull me towards them. "Watch your step darling." Daniel said
"Thanks for saving my life." I said while breathing heavily since I was still kinda shaken from almost falling.
"No problem." He replied
We walked to the hot tub but this time Daniel was holding my hand to make sure that I don't trip on the wet floor again.
Once we got to the hot tub I said "You can let go now I'm not going to fall."
"You sure about that?" He asked
"Yeah I'm sure, I don't even understand why the tile is so wet I'm pretty sure nobody went out to the pool today.
"Did you forget that it rained?"
"Wait it did?"
"Yeah didn't you notice?"
"Not really I was focused on talking to Dakota."
"It's nice that you two get along because she doesn't get along with people that quickly." He said while smiling at me.
After that it was kinda awkward since we both didn't know what to talk about so I brought up something that I have been meaning to ask him.
"Um, so you know how I got pregnant from a sperm donation."
"Yeah of course"
"Well I was wondering why did you do it if you didn't want to have kids?" I asked curiously
"Well um..." he stuttered
"if you don't want to tell me it's fine" I said trying to reassure him
"no it's okay it's just that if I think about it it's pretty stupid explanation."
"just tell me"
"So I was really drunk with some of my friends and they dared me to do it."
"But they don't take the donation if your drunk knowing that your clearly not thinking about what your doing?" I commented
"Well I signed all the paperwork and toke the money that they pay you while I was drunk."
Then afterwards when they called me I told them that I didn't want to do it and I would pay them their money back but they refused and said that if I didn't do it they would sue me or some sh*t like that."
"I don't know all the details it was Ana my assistant that told me all of this and took care of everything. So then I ended up paying someone to ruin my sperm samples that they had but I guess they didn't do it and just took my money since you know your pregnant now." He finished
"oh" I mumbled
"I didn't mean it like that I am really happy now that I'm going to be a Dad." He reassured me
"I'm kinda tired and it's getting late I should probably go to bed." I said while yawning
"Are you sure, we just got here?" he asked
"Yeah I'm sure, goodnight Danny" I mumbled the last part
"Goodnight Ro... wait did you just call me Danny" he asked kinda sounding annoyed which only made me snicker
"Yeah whatcha gonna do about it." I giggled while he rolled his eyes at me.
I walked straight to my room to take a shower, after my shower I put on some comfy pjs and went to bed.

Time skip 2:00 a.m
I woke up in the middle of the night to loud thunder and pouring rain. That's Florida for you one minute it's sunny and dry and the next it's rainy and humid.
To be honest I've always been a little afraid of the thunder and lightning. I don't know it's just the sound of the thunder scares me and I can't fall back asleep after being woken up.
I didn't know what to do or who to go to since I would usually just go to Makayla's room or when I lived at home one of my siblings rooms when I woke up because of the thunder. But right now I don't have anyone of them.
I tried closing my eyes but then I saw a bunch of lightning from the window and then a loud thunder sound. I quickly got on my feet and and went to the hallway.
I don't know if his awake or not but Dakota showed me Daniel's room so I know where I'm going. I just hope that he doesn't get annoyed with me.
Oh who am I kidding if anyone came in the middle of the night to wake me up because they couldn't fall asleep I would be annoyed but it's my only option since I forgot we're Dakota's room is located.
Once I made it to the front of his room I knocked lightly at the door but there was no sound heard from the other side of the door. I knocked a little louder and still nothing.
So I slowly grabbed the door nob and wiggled the door knob which to my surprise was opened. Once inside the room I located his massive bed that was in the middle of the room.
I quickly walked over to his bed and moved his arm to try to wake him up. He still didn't wake up until I started shaking him and saying "Daniel wake up."
Finally his blue eyes slowly opened, but since it was dark in the room he didn't know who I was. "Leave me alone and let me sleep." He said grumpily
"I'm sorry to wake you." I mumbled
"Oh it's you Rose I'm sorry, what's wrong?"
"I just woke up because of the loud thunder and couldn't go back to sleep." I said shyly realizing how childish I must sound right now.
He didn't reply, he just moved a little on the bed to make room for me and patted the space in front of him. I laid down next to him and he put the bed sheets over use both.
I heard another thunder sound and jumped up a little. I turned and faced him while he wrapped his arms around my waist and I laid my head on his chest.
"Your safe with me darling, try to go back to sleep." He whispered in my ear and I nodded while closing my eyes.
After a while I feel asleep in his arms and I'm not going to lie I did feel really safe in his arms.
The next morning
I woke up but kept my eyes closed because I felt someone had their arms wrapped around me and I was kinda about to freak out. I slowly opened my eyes to see that it was Daniel's arms and immediately calmed down, I smiled to myself remembering how he made me feel safe last night.
I tried to get out of his grip which only made him tighten it more. Once I realized I'm probably going to be here for a while I started fidgeting with my fingers.
I realized that this whole time I have had my head on his bare chest and I immediately started blushing to the point that I'm pretty sure I look like a tomato.
Wait I have tan skin never mind I'm pretty sure nobody will notice that I'm blushing.
I looked up to Daniel's face and saw that he was smirking. His beautiful blue eyes finally opened and he had a big grin on his face. "Good morning darling."
"Good morning Danny." I smirked at him knowing that he didn't like to be called that.
"Your lucky I like you or else I wouldn't let you call me that." He said
Wait he likes me?
"You like me?" I questioned
"Um.. I didn't say that." He awkwardly tried to deny
"Sure you didn't." I said rolling my eyes at him playfully
"We should probably get breakfast." He said trying to change the subject even thought I'm not going to forget that he just said that he liked me
"Yeah your right I'm starving." I said dramatically which caused him to laugh
Once we left his room Dakota spotted us leaving together and sent me a knowing glance.
"So why did you two sleep in the same room last night?" she asked with the biggest grin on her face while me and Daniel both just stared at her awkwardly
"It wasn't like that." Daniel said calmly
"Yeah it wasn't I just woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't fall back asleep so I went to Daniel's room and he helped me fall back asleep." I replied looking down at my feet nervously
"Ok well breakfast is ready." She said while smirking at us

The rest of the day was really fun we ended up having a cook out and swimming in the pool all Sunday.
And to be honest I was also warming up to Daniel a lot more and I did catch myself staring at his six pack here and there but luckily he didn't catch me.
I also caught him staring at me but we never talked about when he confessed that he liked me. I still don't know if he meant it in a friendly or more than friends way and I'm just confused now.

Sunday night 1:00 am
I tried sleeping in my own room tonight but right as I'm about to fall asleep I wake up because another thunderstorm started.
"Really again" I think to myself.
"I can't just bother the Daniel again, can I?" I think to myself.
It's been an hour now and the storm has just gotten stronger and scarier so I've decided to go to Daniel's room again.
This will make it two nights in a row and I'm worried that his going to get annoyed by me.
I lightly knock on his door and surprisingly he opens it.
"How are you not sleeping? It's really late now." I asked confused
"I was expecting you."
But it's two in the morning? Why did he wait so long? I thought
"Thanks I guess." I replied shyly
He opened his door wider for me to step in. I instantly walked to his bed and snuggled myself in between his bed seats.
"You look comfortable." He smirked
"I'm just really tired."
"You should get some sleep then."
Before I could reply a huge thunder sound was heard. I instantly went under the covers while Daniel lightly laughed.
"It's fine I'm here." He said while pulling me towards him.
Without even noticing I snuggled into him.
"Oh I'm sorry." I replied shyly
"No it's fine either way your warm." He wrapped his arms around me and snuggled me into his chest.
"Goodnight Danny."
"Goodnight Princess." I smiled at the cute pet name.
Eww what the heck is happening to me, I used to cringe at the thought of being called princess.

Once Monday morning came along I didn't want to go back home, I really liked it here and his family treated me really nicely but sadly I have to go back to work and so does Daniel.
Once we both said are goodbyes we left to go back home. I got board halfway through the car ride so I started doing what I do best which is ask random question.
"So how much do you like your job?" I asked
"A lot, how about you?" He said without looking away from the road.
"I enjoy it,.... so um thanks again for letting me stay in your room for two nights in a row." I thanked
"It's fine" He smirked
"Yeah I know you told me and either way it's not like you've never done it before." I said lightly laughing
"What do you mean?" He asked confused
"I mean have a girl in your bed." I said normally
"Oh well yeah I've slept with a bunch but I've never just slept in a bed with a girl without doing anything sexual." He honestly answered
"Really?" I said kinda surprised
"Yeah."
"What about snuggling?" I asked
"Nope." He said while briefly looking at me and then looking back at the road
"What about an ex girlfriend?" I asked curiously
"I've never actually been in a serious relationship." He replied honestly
"Why not?" I asked confused
"Because I don't have the time nor put enough effort."
"Then why was I the exception?" I curiously asked
"Because your different in a good way and I just want to make you feel safe." He answered honestly which made my heart pound a little.
"Well thank you for that" I replied smiling at him

I'm so sorry for not uploading for months now, I've been busy with school but I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I'm gonna try my best to upload more frequently and usually Wednesday but if I forget to I will update late chapters on Saturday. I've just started doing my end of the year test so that's been keeping me busy but I'll try to upload more soon.
