Chapter 2
That's right. He was staring. At me.
I've had many people stare at me in my life. I was stared at in 7th grade after someone spilled the food all over me. I get stared at for being the child that her dad didn't want. But I have never been stared at like this.
I stared back, unsure of what to do. He had light brown hair and blue eyes.
He smiled at me.
I stared down. I was in a stained tank and loose sweatpants.
I looked up, cheeks burning red.
I looked at my journal. The one that says: "Property of: Cameron Rose"
I ran downstairs to look outside.
There was three moving trucks in the driveway next door. Next door. He was moving in next door.
I ran back upstairs and saw he was gone.
Maybe I had imagined seeing him. Maybe he wasn't staring at me.
Maybe the unseen girl could remain unseen.
