When Chaeyoung and Lisa departed in front of Lisa's hotel just before Lisa headed towards the arena, Chaeyoung decided it was the right time to go home and relax.
I mean, last night was incredible! I hope Lisa had a great time for her birthday bash and I hope she'll have a great evening tonight at Jennie's concert... She does deserve the world, the way she has been fighting to overcome everything... I hope she and Jennie will have a great time together, no matter how long it lasts....
She stopped in front of a grocery store to buy food for the rest of the afternoon and the evening that was ahead of her. Ah... Today's Saturday.... A great day to spend at home after the party we had last night... That karaoke bar really took it out of me haha... It was fun though, to sing in front of all those people... I don't remember much of it, but I do remember that feeling of being on stage...
When Chaeyoung bought everything she needed, she headed out to her apartment. She decided to go for a walk since it was a lovely afternoon and she wanted to get some fresh air. What am I gonna do when I get home? Oh, I guess I could go back to reading... Maybe some music or a movie later... Yeah, just me relaxing... This afternoon will be great!
When Chaeyoung got home, she went to make herself a bubble bath first so that she could relax even more. I'll bring my book so that I have something to do hehe.
She was now lying in her bathtub, enjoying the warm water and bubbles while reading her book and listening to music that was coming from her phone. She was enjoying the warmth of the bathtub and the book, and she was also occasionally humming along to a certain song that would come up.
This song, ugh, it's so great... Such a catchy beat and the way they sing the chorus... Here it goes again!
Chaeyoung was now singing along to Exo's Lucky One while getting out of the bathtub and wrapping a towel around her body.
Their voices are so great, especially at this last bit here... Oh, let me see who sings this last part here, the voice is so powerful and fitting for this part.
Chaeyoung then looked up the order in which everyone sang that song.
Oh, it's Lay... Yeah, this part sounds really great when he sings it. Good for him! I bet his promotions in China are doing well now.
She mused as she went to the internet to find out more.
Oh, he'll be performing with the other members of Exo on their next album? Wow, that's a nice thing to hear! Chaeyoung mused as she read the news about Exo.
The rest of the afternoon was reserved for her book since she couldn't put it down anymore. Evening came and that's when Chaeyoung decided to turn on the TV as she was making diner. She turned it up so that she could listen to some music as she was preparing her food.
She would then casually dance and sing whenever a song she knew would come up on the channel. After a while, a commercial break came in. At first, Chaeyoung was ignoring it, but soon she realized what it was about.
She came in from the kitchen to the living room to listen to the commercial more carefully. It was about the auditions Lisa had mentioned to her before.
Oh wow... So people of any age can apply... And you have to be at least skilled in dancing, singing or rapping...Hmm... I mean, I am going to win the bet between me and Lisa so there's no need for me to apply... But still.. Hmmm... This does sound interesting.... I guess I could apply, at least to see how it is... Hahaha, when they ask me what my specialty, I'll say something along the lines of "shipping people and keeping everything together". Chaeyoung internally chuckled as she listened to the commercial.
Nah... I don't wanna apply.. Seems complicated. She brushed the thought away as she returned to her cooking.
When her dinner was finished, she put food on her plate and went to the living room to eat and watch some TV. After a while, her attention drifted towards her laptop while the TV was still on in the background. Chaeyoung was reading some articles when the channel that was on announced that it was going to play a collage of songs under the title "Oldies, but Goldies"...
Oh I love these old songs... I could listen to them all day. Chaeyoung thought as she continued with her reading. Without noticing, she started to hum along to the songs as she was reading the articles. At one point she even stopped reading so that she could fully devote herself to singing. When one of the song was over, Chaeyoung stopped to think:
Ugh! Fine... Maybe Lisa was right... I'll look up these auditions and see what the fuss is all about.... Oh Lisa... Always having an influence on me hehehe....
She then randomly opened up a site of one of the many music agencies that were looking for new people.
Oh... Okay, so two categories - "solo" or "group"... Hm... Okay, let's first look at "solo"... Oh look, there are description of what they are looking for... Hmmm... Let me read a few.
Chaeyoung continued to read under the "solo" section for a while. Hmmm... I mean, some of these concepts are not bad, but not what I was looking for... Hahaha wow, look at me being picky all of a sudden hahahaha.... Lisa would be having a blast if she knew what I was doing... But fine, if I'm already applying, might as well apply to something that I might actually enjoy doing. She mused.
Hmmm... I mean... I guess I could work in a group setting as well... Hmm... Let's see what that section has to offer.... Oh, okay... so three subcategories - "boy groups", "mixed groups" and "girl groups"... Okay, let's look under "mixed groups" first.... No... Nope, this wouldn't work... Nah.... This concept is okay but... Nah.... I'm starting to think that I really am picky about this whole process hahaha... But Chaeyoung still didn't stop with her search.
She ultimately clicked on the "girl groups" section.
Oh... Okay, some of these are good... She continued to scroll through the page. Oh, what is this...? "Project Pink Punk"? Hah... Okay, let's read the description... Aha... A nine-member girl group... The roles would be divided... The style would be contemporary R&B mixed with pop and electronic music.... Hm.. Okay.. So singing, rapping or dancing... Oh okay, this, this group actually feels like somewhere I could fit... Oh no...
Chaeyoung read the last part of the description:
Along with your photo and description, please send us a video of you singing, dancing or rapping. This will help us in order to decide your availability for our auditions.
Chaeyoung sighed - I was willing to send a mail and a photo, but a video... Okay, fine, I'll do it... But, to which song...? Hmmm...
And just at that moment, Elvis Presley's Can't Help Falling in Love was playing.
Bingo! - Chaeyoung was excited again.
She took her phone out and recorded herself singing that song and giving it her all. At the end she smiled. I hope that sounded good - She mused before ending the video.
That is an old song and it isn't actually R&B or pop or anything close to that... I hope that won't be a problem... Well, I don't feel like doing another take so... I hope they'll just listen to it and I don't end up on some TV show where I'll be in the category "funniest auditions ever" hahaha... Yeah, that would be nice to avoid. She internally chuckled.
Meh, why am I bothered anyway? This is only for fun so... Yeah... Let's send it. She thought to herself before sending her photo, description and the video.
Okay, all done! Haha Lisa, you'll still owe me bagels, no matter what, I can just feel it... Oh wait, is that my phone vibrating? Let me see who it is... Yixing? Huh... Must be important...
"Hi Yixing!" Chaeyoung answered the phone happily.
"Hi Chaeyoung!" He responded happily as well.
"How may I help you?" She smiled as she asked that.
"Oh, no formalities or helping out this time."
"Haha, okay, then... what is the nature of your call?" Chaeyoung corrected herself with a smirk while making Yixing chuckle.
Huh... I do wonder why he's calling... I guess he'll tell me when he stops laughing. Chaeyoung mused as she was waiting for a response.
