[y/e] —— your enemy
I stumbled down the steps, into my best friends arms. Gaten held me tight while I cried and cried, and once I tried to control them, they'd all come again.
"G-gaten. He, h-he w-as with her." I mumbled into his shoulder.
I could hear the boy wince, but he held me tighter, "Shhh. It'll be alright. Shhh."
His grip tightened on my waist, as mine did around his neck.
I pulled back, sniffing quietly to control the tears.
"What did he do?" Gaten said firmly, not meeting my eyes.
I gulped, "I... he, was with [y/e]. They were..." I gulped again, this time more visibly, "kissing."
Gaten tensed, before holding my hand and pulling me down to the couch.
And there we sat, hand in hand, looking into each other's eyes. I sighed, crossing my legs and resting my head on his shoulder.
After a couple minutes, I felt two fingers under my chin, pulling my head up. The stained tears on my cheeks didn't stop Gaten from pulling me into a short, sweet kiss.
"I'd never treat you like he did." He said.
I blushed, "Yeah, I know that."
