Harry's P.O.V.
I talked to Liam last night and he told me it would be the best in i confronted Simon about Emerald. I have to admit i was quite scared of what he would think. He could be fine and let Emerald stay or he could have a huge freak attack. I just didn't know what to think anymore, so many thoughts were on my mind as we drove off to Simon's to talk to him. I didn't even realize i was thinking so hard until Louis punched me in the arm and asked.
"Whats with the constipated look mate? Do you have to use the toliet or something?" Everyone was in hysterics after Louis commet.
"No, no i was just thinking." I tried to say as i was in the fit of laughs. After the laughing died down a soft giggle filled the car. Everyone (except Zayn) looked into Emeralds little pink car seat to see her laughing, 'Aww' and 'she's so cute' soon filled the car. The car came to a sudden jerk to a stop to show we arrived at Simon's office. I unbuckled Emerald and carefully took her out of the car seat as we all walked inside.
Ugh. I was so nervous. We were walking into Simon's office. I know we had to tell him eventually. I was just hoping not so soon. Simon can be so unpredictable sometimes. What if he hates Emerald? I looked over at Niall who was holding her. He seemed to really love having Emerald around and its only been two days since Gemma had left.
We knocked on Simons office door just to make sure he wasnt busy. After all he didnt know we were coming. He got up from is chair and got the door. He looked at us wondering why we were here. Then his eyes shot right at Niall holding Emerald. Pulled his arm making him almost drop sleeping Emerald. Simon pushed Niall down into a chair.
"Explain. NOW." Simon yelled.
"Its not mine! I swear!" Niall shot right to Simon.
"Well then whO'S IS IT?" Simon said so quickly no one had time to breathe.
"H-Harry's..?" Simon shot me the death glare.
"EXPLAIN. NOW." He screamed at me.
"Its not mine!" Simon looked at us like we were on drugs. "Well it is. But not mine. Well Gemma had a little girl named Emerald and--"
"How does Gemma's baby have anything to do with the band?"
"I was getting to that. Well Gemma got transferred to America for her job. And she wouldn't have any time to look after Emerald so, uhm, she needed my help and i signed Emeralds adoption papers..."
"YOU DID WHAT! Harry...Do you know how much this baby could ruin your career? How could you be so stupid!"
"Shhhhh! Emerald was almost a sleep! Seriously guys do you not understand how delicate a baby's ear drums are? Wow, i cant believe you guys would raise your voice like that when we have a precious little princess on our hands? Have you even been thinking about how this child might feel with all you are doing i shouting? How would you like it if someone just keeping shouting in your ears? You wouldn't like it would you! If you keep raising your voice like that Emerald could go deaf. How could you guys not understand this? I just cant even believe you would raise your voice like that around Emerald. Do you have any respect for this little girl?" Niall looked at us with a deathly glare. Like he was our mother. And with that Niall sat down on the couch and softly began humming to Emerald.
"What?" We all asked.
"NO. No baby. It will ruin your careers."
"But Simon!" Liam spoke up.
Liam's P.O.V.
"But Simon!" I yelled at him.
"No Liam. No buts. Buts are for sitting. Not talking." Simon said. We all looked at each other trying not to crack up. We may be 18,19, and 20 but we are as immature as 14 year old boys.
"Simon, he already signed the adoption papers." I spoke hoping to change his mind.
"Don't care." Simon was being difficult. Man 50 year old men were sure damn cranky sometimes.
"Simon, you have to understand, this is family for Harry. He needs to help out family. You know you would do the same."
"I wouldn't." Man does he even have a heart? I wanted to punch Simon right now.
"Simon but you don't understand its not just Harry taking care of Emerald he has all of us to help him out and to support him and love and care for her. Plus it seems like Niall knows a lot of stuff about Emerald, Considering he knew that about baby's and i didn't."
"Liam, I know you can take care of her, But its going to ruin your career."
"Where's Emerald supposed to go? Gemma's already in America! Are you suggesting we just put her up for adoption and continue on with our career forgetting about her! Emerald needs family. And harry is family and so are we! A baby isn't going to ruin our careers, a baby is harmless. We will be fine!"
"No! Liam i am your manager and i said no! You wouldn't be here if i didn't put you in a band."
Niall decided to speak up, "Simon, you cant do this."
"I can and i will." Wow. He is being a jerk.
"Emerald needs the best life though Simon. I mean come on really now?" I said starting to get angry.
"Liam, i'm not continuing this conversation. You guys will find some way to get rid of her."
"Her name is Emerald." Niall said. Simon looked like he couldn't give a fuck less. Cranky old man. She's a newborn! For crying out loud! She needs whats best.
"Simon i know we can handle her! Why dont you believe in us? I think it will help us with responsibility!"
"Liam, you're the biggest boy band currently. Don't need a baby ruining your career." Simon spoke.
Louis' P.O.V.
"Don't need a baby ruining your career." Simon finished.
"Guys, just stop giving him a hard time! Maybe he's right!" I was starting to yell. Niall, Liam, and Harry looked really upset with me. All of a sudden Emerald started crying.
"Great you upset a baby!" Niall said laughing. Suddenly everyone was laughing. Except Harry. Damn it. I hated it when he was mad at me. Harry took Emerald and walked out. I followed him out. I didn't need him mad at me.
"Hey." I sat next to Harry down on the ground.
"Did you mean it?" He asked.
"What?" I questioned knowing what he meant.
"About Emerald? Is she a bad idea to have around?" He said.
"Harry, you know i don't mean it. I was just getting upset by everyone yelling back and forth. I think she is a great idea to have around." Harry looked at Emerald who was calmed down. I pulled him into a hug doing my best not to crush Emerald. We stood up and walked back into his office to find everyone arguing, except Zayn. Of course.
I interrupted, "Simon, listen, I know that this might not be the best for our career right now but Simon another thing you don't understand is that Harry and Gemma our family. Family supports and helps each other in any situation. Family sticks together through the thick and thin. All Harry is doing is trying to be a good brother and help out his sister. Do you know how much it broke Gemma's heart to have to give away her little girl. No one should ever have to find out they cant handle a kid and must give it up even if they know its the best for the child. What would you do if you had a sister and she came crying to you telling you how she couldn't take care of her kid and she needed you to take her. Would you just say no?"
"Louis, If i was in Harry's situiation i would have said no. I wouldnt take in a kid when touring around the world. Currently the biggest boy band in the world. You cant raise a child being in a band its not possible."
"Simon you cant do this!" I shouted.
"Louis i can and i said NO. No means?" He questioned.
"No." We all said in unison. And with that we left.
