Lisa couldn't believe what was happening - she got to meet 6 out of 9 Twice members and she was very happy to do so.
"Lisa, this is Chaeyoung, Mina, Jihyo, Sana, Jeongyeon and Nayeon!" Jennie introduced Lisa happily to the group who were sitting in that order from left to right. They were all smiling at Lisa and were happy to meet her, shaking her hand as she was greeting every one of them and bowing. There was a very friendly vibe going around at their booth and everyone was excited to meet Lisa. The music wasn't very loud because they were away enough from the speakers so they didn't have to shout as much as other people in the club.
Before they got to ask anything, Jennie spoke:
"Sooooo.... We won't be staying very long, I'd like to show the nightlife of Seoul as much as possible to my Lili... Buuut, since a certain someone here..." She then looked at Nayeon and chuckled "...insisted on meeting her, we just haaaad to come here hahahaha.... No, I'm kidding, we're glad we're here, but I'd really like to show Lisa as much as possible, I hope that's okay." Jennie spoke sincerely while clinging on to Lisa's arm.
My Lili? Seriously? That's how she's introducing me? I'm really starting to think Chaeyoung might be right... Haha.. She wishes, though! No bagels for you, miss Park! Lisa wasn't quite sure where to stand on that issue just yet.
"Of course! She should see as much as possible, Seoul is beautiful by night and it really has a lot to offer! We're glad you're here, Nayeon was getting pretty hyped up hahaha!" Jihyo replied and they all chuckled. "Heeeey! I am just glad they showed up hehe!" Nayeon defended. She then looked at Lisa and spoke with a huge grin: "Again, it's really nice to meet you!" Lisa blushed. Why are they all so nice to me? This is crazy hahaha! Imagine hating on Twice... That would be like hating on sunshine and unicorns!
Everyone was very understanding about Jennie's wish that the two of them wouldn't stay for too long and Jennie was very appreciative of this. Jennie and Lisa then sat next down to Nayeon, still holding on to each other.
"So Lisa... We heard that you're a photographer! That's so cool! How did you get into photography?" Jihyo asked with a smile while everybody else eagerly awaited an answer.
"Oh, well my father is a chef... And I'm not good at cooking." Lisa responded awkwardly. "Which meant that the only way I could "produce" a meal like his is to literally take a photograph of it... I know, kinda weird, but it's the way we bonded when I was younger... He would give me this old camera and I would take photos of his meals... After that it just kinda became my thing hihi" Everyone was in awe and felt that that was a cute story.
"Even I didn't know that story, that was adorable!" Jennie was surprised as she was clinging on to Lisa's arm and smiled at her.
"Thank you!" Lisa replied shyly, giggling, while looking at Jennie.
"It's funny since I knew about the Batman story but not the whole story on how you got into photography!"
"Well... Batman was cool!"
"Still is!"
"True!" The duo was giggling at each other, leaving Twice confused at to what just happened.
"Don't mind us, we're being dorky." Jennie replied. That made everyone chuckle and at ease again.
"It's so nice to meet you all here!" Lisa spoke. "I mean, it's really an honor, I really love your songs... And the choreographies are so great... And like, you always put a smile on my face whenever I see any of your videos." Lisa was feeling a bit nervous again, talking faster than usual, which made the members of Twice chuckle. They thanked Lisa for her support.
"So Lisa... How was Jennie's concert?" Nayeon asked to make Lisa feel more comfortable.
"Amazing! And I'm not just saying that because I'm a fan... The lights, the sound, the dancing... Even the guest stars... Everything was amazing!"
"Jennie, you had guest stars?" Sana asked.
"Yup! Chanyeol and Kai." Jennie beamed proudly.
"Oh wow, that's so great! I wish they could guest star here in this club." Sana murmured that last part but Jihyo heard her.
"Sana! Behave!" She gently slapped her on the shoulder with a huge smile and everyone chuckled.
"What? I meant so that they could show off their dance skills!" Sana defended with a grin. Everybody laughed at that last bit.
"If you want, I can introduce you at some future event." Jennie suggested with a grin.
Sana didn't reply, she just nodded her head, giggling with excitement, which everyone found adorable. She then said: "It's just that, you know... It gets real busy at those events so... There's not much time to interact with people..."
Everyone agreed with that and were thankful Sana said it.
"Yeah, these are our fellow musicians that we like to listen to as well, and you know, it would be great to meet them! I mean... I sing Exo's songs all the time!" Jeongyeon butted in.
"We know, the walls are thin in our mansion." Mina replied which again made everyone chuckle. The atmosphere was really friendly and casual and everyone felt invited to say something. Lisa was loving the friendly atmosphere and she felt her comments weren't out of place when she talked to the rest of the group or asked them questions.
Jennie's friends are super nice! They talk so freely in front of me and make me feel like I'm a part of the gang as well. I knew Jennie surrounded herself with nice people, and it's a real pleasure to witness it firsthand.
"Oh! Oh! It's my song! I want to go and dance! Does anyone want to join me?" Mina was excited upon hearing a song she liked.
"I'll go with you!" Chaeyoung replied with a smile.
"Lisa, do you mind if we go and dance? I'm sorry, I just really like this song!" Mina then looked apologetically towards Lisa.
"No, no! It's okay, please! Don't feel bad haha! Thank you for asking, but please, have a great time!" Lisa was surprised by Mina's question. That was so nice of her. She didn't have to, but she appreciated my presence here so she asked. That's really sweet!
"So... Lisa and I wanted to know..." Jennie then started. Oh, I know where this is going, hahaha, right on Jennie, ask 'em! Lisa was waiting for Jennie's question as she was clinging on to her arm now.
"In a fight, who would win, Dahyun or Tzuyu? I already asked Nayeon and she said Dahyun, but I want to know your opinion as well!"
Jeongyeon and Jihyo looked at each other and then at Jennie and at the same time said:
"Tzuyu!"
"What? No! That's crazy! Dahyun could dodge well!" Nayeon defended.
"Yeah, but Tzuyu is fast too, so... You know, I think she could probably tackle Dahyun easily." Jeongyeon replied.
The argument continued until Sana spoke while sipping on a cocktail:
"I think there... wouldn't be a fight." She giggled while saying that.
"What, what do you mean?" Jihyo was confused.
"They care for each other too much... Also, I think they're... khm... getting intimate if you know what I mean." Sana chuckled as she said that.
"What? No! No way!" Jeongyeon replied.
"Well, why aren't they here with us tonight?" Sana defended.
"Well, why isn't Momo here as well?" Jeongyeon asked.
"Touche." Sana replied.
"I can answer all those questions - Momo and Dahyun went ice-skating this afternoon while Tzuyu had a photo shoot today and she's probably relaxing back at the mansion now."
"I think I saw Tzuyu grab Dahyun's butt yesterday when you performed." Lisa just blurted out, and then when she realized what she said, she covered her mouth.
"No way!" Jennie replied with a grin. "So it's possible to date in this business? I guess if you're in a band you finally have freaking time to do it, right?" She then asked her fellow musicians as they all chuckled.
"I told ya they were getting phy-si-cal!" Sana replied victoriously.
"I think I saw that happen.... But I'm really not sure... I... I wouldn't confirm it... I'm sorry, I just blurted it out.... It was probably my imagination." Lisa said apologetically and everyone comforted her.
"Well, I think I saw some focus cams on YouTube from that performance, so we can check it all out now if you want?" Jihyo then suggested and everyone agreed. It also made Lisa smile because she didn't want to spread false rumors.
After a couple of focus cams, they couldn't find anything that would confirm Lisa's claims.
"Oh well, then it was definitely my imagination.... Silly me!" Lisa chuckled nervously, but everyone chuckled along as well. "Also, how rude of me! I forgot to tell you - you were amazing when I saw you yesterday!"
Twice thanked Lisa for her compliment. Jeongyeon then went back to the previous argument:
"But you know... these videos, I mean, who knows, maybe it really didn't happen... Unless Tzuyu has like... ninja-movements... Like I said... She is pretty fast!" Jeongyeon said those words while looking at Nayeon, referring to their previous argument about the Dahyun-Tzuyu fight.
"Oh whatever!" Nayeon replied and they all laughed.
Lisa then asked a question:
"So... Do you think... Now that we're on the subject... Do you think people in the music industry... Especially those who have a busy schedule... Do you think they just abandon all hope when it comes to dating? I mean... If I may ask, how is the situation in that department? Because, it feels like all busy musicians don't have the time nor the place to explore that... So it must get tense... You know, to seek out companionship..."
"Oh wow... Great question!" Nayeon replied. Jennie smirked at her reaction. "I guess, you know... For me... I feel like the group keeps me warm in a friendly way so that I never feel alone and I always feel love... Yeah, it's a bit corny, but it is true hehe. When it comes to dating, since you don't have time to do it, you just settle for having great friends. And I don't mean anything bad when I say "settle", obviously. These are all great gals!" She then hugged Jeongyeon and reached for Jihyo and Sana for a small group hug.
Mhm, great friends, you and "Mi-" hahaha. Jennie thought to herself while internally giggling.
"Yeah, that's basically it. Having these friends around you.... Keeps you warm." Jihyo responded as well, gently rubbing her hand on Jeongyeon's back while smiling.
The conversation then carried on about various other topics where Lisa really felt comfortable. After a while, she asked where the bathroom was so that she could go freshen up.
"Oh, I'll go with you, I need to use the bathroom!" Jihyo replied.
"Same" Jeongyeon added.
"I'll go get me more drinks, does anyone want some?" Sana offered.
"We're good." Everyone replied.
Nayeon and Jennie were left alone.
"I didn't know Lisa and you were dating now haha!" Nayeon teased.
"What?" Jennie deadpanned.
"Oh come on! The chemistry is so there! The way you called her "my Lili" when you came in, that... whole... dorky... Batman story or whatever... The constant clinging onto each other, the giggles, the laughter... Come on, Kim, who are you fooling?"
"I'm not fooling anyone, I promise! We are not dating y-... We are not dating."
"You wanted to say "yet", didn't you?" Nayeon smirked.
Jennie then sighed.
"We don't have to talk about this, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pry, I'm so sorry!" Nayeon said apologetically.
"No, actually, I wanted to talk to you about this, I'm just arranging in my head what I want to say haha." Jennie replied. She spoke soon:
"It's still confusing, alright? She's a friend... And I don't want to ruin that... And I don't want to get hurt if something should happen... I told Dowoon that it was over, by the way."
"Well, I figured, since you're really happy now and he's not here with you, is he?" Nayeon noted.
"Touche." Jennie replied. She then added:
"So yeah... I don't want to hurt myself, or Lisa for that matter.... But at the same time, Nayeon, oh wow... I didn't even get to talk to Lisa about this... But she can move! Like, she can mooove, you know?"
"What do you mean?"
"I don't think I can even discuss that topic with Lisa yet. Long story short - she took dancing lessons in Bangkok so that she could learn my choreography... And let me just say that she nailed it and then some! I nearly messed up on stage when I saw her dance! And she like added hair flips and what not... It really... Uh..."
"Let me borrow Sana's words here - did it make you want to get "phy-si-cal" with her?" They both chuckled at that.
"It made me.... huh.... It was very... Uh..."
"Oh wow Jennie, you're blushing!" Nayeon noted.
"Shush!" Jennie giggled.
"So is it just a physical thing?"
"I... it's a confusing thing, that's what it is... But I don't think it's based on physical attraction. She is attractive but... I like her mind. I like her presence. She calms me down. She's insightful, she wants to know more about people... It's just that... Like I said... I'd prefer if we both didn't get hurt."
"Well, listen, tonight - have fun with her! She's only here for like what - a couple of more days?"
"And maybe she'll live in Seoul one day." Jennie added.
"Yeah, but until that day comes - enjoy your time with her - go out, dance, sing, drive around Seoul... Have a great time... If you start to really feel like there's something more - physically, emotionally or both... Well, be honest with her and tell her the situation. Don't lead her on and be honest, that way, even if you both get hurt, you'll at least have honesty between you."
"That's... That's actually not bad advice."
"I know... And this is only my third drink woo-woo!" They both chuckled at that before Jennie asked:
"So... How's the situation with..... khm .... "Mi-"?"
"Oh... I... Uh... I wanted to give that whole thing some space, you know? So I'm not rushing it or anything, I'm just... I guess, I'm just resting a bit and seeing what I'm feeling, you know?"
"Oh... Okay..."
"Yeah... That's basically it for now."
"Oh, okay, no need to talk about it now, I get it." Jennie replied with a smile as Nayeon nodded. Jihyo, Jeongyeon, Sana and Lisa then appeared.
I hope I'll get to talk to Jennie alone soon... It would be nice if we could... Talk. I love this club and the atmosphere at this table but... I think some things need to be told. Lisa mused as she sat down back at the table.
