They call it a night and return to their rooms however there was a storm brewing ready to disturb the peace of their lives.

Sidharth- Mauli ka hone waala fiance!

The morning was a new and fresh one. The sun peeked through the window as Nandini snuggled closer to Kunal. He too wrapped his hands around her and pulled her closer. They slept peacefully in each others embrace for several minutes and then it was time to part.
Kunal- Nandini, get up we have to have breakfast also.
Nandini understanding him parts away and wishes him a sweet good morning Kunal wishes her back and they go get ready. They eat their breakfast attend conferences and then finally it is lunch time.
People had put up stalls around the lunch area, while Kunal was talking to his colleagues Nandini took of to explore these small shops filled with goodies. She walked through the stalls carefully noticing the goods when a small bracelet caught her eye.
She immediately picked it up in her hands and whispered to herself
Nandini- This is such a beautiful bracelet, perfect for Mauli
She then looked at the vendor and asked him the price
Nandini- Bhaiya yeh kitne ke liye?
Vendor- 100 rupiye ke liye madam
Nandini- Thik hai yeh lijiye
She said handing him the money and taking the bracelet, she then nicely packed it with a small note inside and instructed a waiter to give the gift to Mauli who was sitting at a corner table with Sidharth.
The waiter then took the gift to the table and handed it to Mauli who just looked at him in surprise
Mauli- Yeh kisne diya?(who gave this?)
Waiter- Pata nahi kisine bola aapko dene keliye tu main leke aaya (I don't know somebody said give it you so I am handing it over.)
Mauli- Thik hai dedo (Fine give it)
Mauli said while taking the gift. That is when Sidharth decided to tease her.
Sidharth- Wow Mauli gift and all! kya chakkar hai?
Mauli- Shut up Sidharth koyi chakkar wakkar nahi hai
Sidharth- Kuch toh hai... kahi koyi secret admirer to nahi?
Mauli deciding to tease him back
Mauli- hmmm ho sakta hai, ab toh tumhe competition mila hai Sidharth toh mere saath aur achese rehna padega nahi toh mein secret admirer ke saath bhaag jaungi (Yes maybe a secret admirer...now you have got competition Sidharth so you better behave nicely with me or I will run away with my secret admirer)
Sidharth just looked at her with wide eyes completely shocked. He never expected such a good comeback while Mauli starts laughing seeing his expression.
Sidharth- Okay ab hasna band karo aur gift kholo main bhi dekhta hoon tumhara yeh secret admirer kon hai aur agar uski chatni nahi banayi toh mere naam bhi Sidharth nahi.
(Okay now stop laughing and open the gift, let me also see who is this secret admirer of yours and if I don't make a chatni out of him then my name is also not Sidharth anymore)
Mauli opens the gift and sees the bracelet she then picks up the note and reads it. Suddenly her smile disappears, the colour from her face fades and she now looks pale. Seeing this Sidharth becomes worried.
Sidharth- Kya hua Mauli kya likha hai? (What happened Mauli what is written?)
But Mauli does not reply her eyes well up and tears start rolling down her cheeks. Sidharth takes the note from her hands and reads it he first gets very angry at Nandini but then decides to console Mauli first.
Sidharth- Mauli...Mauli please rona band karo tumhe pata hai na mujhse tumhare aasoon nahi dekhe jaate. (Mauli...Mauli please stop crying you know I cannot see tears in your eyes)
Mauli wipes her tears and looks at Sidharth.
Mauli- Don't worry Sidharth bas purane din yaad agaye jab hum bahut ache dost they aur jab yaad ayaa ki yeh dosti waapas kabhi nahi aayegi apne aap aakh main asoon agaye. If you are done eating we should leave. (Don't worry Sidharth I just remembered the old days when we were the best of friends and when I realised that the friendship will never return tears automatically started to flow from my eyes)
Sidharth nodded and they were leaving when Mauli stopped in her tracks. She turned an walked to where Nandini was sitting while Sidharth quietly followed. Mauli placed the gift on the table in front of Nandini making her look up.
Nandini stands up and was about to say something when Mauli raises her hand to stop her.
Mauli- Nandini for me you are only me ex husbands second wife and nothing more. Mere liye jhoothi khushi dikha kar tumhe kya lagta hai main tumhe maaf kardungi? KABHI NAHI!!!
(By showing fake happiness for me you think I will forgive you? NEVER!!!)
Nandini- Hum to bas...
(I just wanted to...)
Mauli- Hum to bas maafi maangna chahte they! yahi na
(I just wanted to ask for your forgiveness! right)
Nandini nods
Mauli- You are not sorry you did it Nandini, you are sorry I found out!
Tears roll down Nandini's eyes, Kunal who had overheard the conversation now steps in.
Present
Kunal- How dare you!

These words snatched the ground beneath Kunal's feet he felt a pang in his heart and the world seem to close in. However he calmed himself down, ignored Sidharth's presence and looked directly at Mauli. He softened his tone and then spoke
Kunal- What happened in these two years that you have changed so much? Please Mauli tell me?
Mauli- Tell you!? Huh! Tell you! the person who did not even call me once in two years to know whether I am alive or dead? forget me 6 months after our divorce you never met Deeda and ma also, forget meet you even stopped talking to them on the phone. Yeh jhooti concern kisi aur ko dekhaiye Dr Kunal.
Kunal- Mauli yeh concern jhooti nahi hai!
Mauli- Jhoothi nahi hai?! Are you hearing yourself Dr Kunal Malhotra, who are you trying to convince? me or yourself? Dr Kunal words mean nothing when your actions contradict!
Kunal - Mauli....
Mauli- What Mauli? Yeh naam tumhe pichle do saal main kabhi yaad bhi aaya?
(What Mauli? Did you even remember this name existed in the past two years?)
Kunal- Mauli bahut baar yaad ayi tum lekin kabhi himmat nahi hui tumse milne ki. Batao Mauli ki aisa kya hua ki tum humse itna upset hogi, jab tumhe humare baare main pata bhi chala tab bhi tum itna gussa nahi hoyi thi jitna aaj hoyi ho.
(I remembered you a lot but I could never muster the courage to meet you, tell me Mauli what happened that you are so upset. You were never this upset even when you found out about me and Nandini.)
Mauli- Kis hak se tum puch rahe ho Kunal, kis hak se? Kahaa the tum jab mujhe tumhari sabse jyaada jarurat thi, kaha the tum jab humara bach...
(You have no right to ask me these questions, where were you when I needed you the most, where were you when our chi...)
She stopped mid sentence and looked at Kunal intently.
Mauli- Abh tum jo bhi kaho, jo bhi karo I don't care a damn aur mujhse jitna door raho utna hi acha hai.
(Now whatever you say, whatever you do I don't care a damn. And the further you stay from me the better )
Saying so she took Sidharth's hand and left from there

Phew! A lot of drama and accusations in this update but the next one will have some sweet moments.
