Gleeful smiles and belly laughs,
Blonde curls crown her head.
She staggers from left to right,
Trying to find her foothold, like a tipsy sailor in the night.
She waits for you at the door,
And squeals with delight when you reach down.
You pull her up to your arms,
And she holds out her her hand in farewell.
She stumbles in the yard from left to right,
As the flowers from the blooming crepe myrtle rain down,
The sun shines down through the branches,
Lacing her golden crown with dainty gems.
The laundry room leaves room for new delights,
She pulls out each garment to help it dry,
And she laughs as her two teeth peak out,
The joy unfiltered through her jolly giggling.
My sadness has no chance,
In the presence of sweet Lilly and her laugh.
She illuminates each day with her silly baby ways,
We love her ditties and mischief and folly each day.
