The next day
I seen Lucy walking so I called her but she didn't answer so I jogged to meet up with her.
"Lucy!" I yelled again, catching her attention.
She turned and squinted at me for a little while before walking towards me but wiping her face on the way over.
"Where you coming from?" I asked once she got in front of me.
"Just was meeting up with my mom" she answered before lowering het head.
"You missed her a lot or something?" I asked referring to the tears she was wiping on her way over to me.
She raised an eyebrow at me "what makes you say that?" She asked following me to the house.
"You were wiping your face on the way over here" I reminded her.
"Oh yeah, I miss her" she nodded biting on her lip.
"Why don't you stay with her?"
She shook her head "I can't."
"Why not?" I asked.
She shook her head again and stayed quiet, not answering my question.
