Peter's POV

"Hey, there's my favorite little lost boy." I heard a familiar voice say from behind me.

"What do you want?" I snapped and kept writing.

"Oh, nothing really," she said. "Just curious about when I get to get my share of our deal."

"How many times do I have to tell you," I sighed and ran y hand through my hair. "I'm the one dealing with this, not you."

"I know." I could hear a smirk plastered on her lips. I heard footsteps and soon, two hands on my shoulders. Her hands started massaging my shoulders, it felt good.

Well, until—

"You've been telling me to wait for three centuries. I am dying Peter, not you—me." She growled and squeezed my shoulders so tightly I was probably bleeding already.

"You're going to get me that heart in three days time, or else I'm going to feed on yours." I groaned at her grip. "Don't forget, I'm the only one—aside from your own son—who knows how to kill you."

She tightened her grip, which was not impossible after all.

"Don't wait for me to do this my way, it won't be pretty." I could literally feel intense anger in her words. "Have I made myself clear?"

I nodded. "Yes, Piper..." I sighed.

"Good," she released my shoulders. "Have a cookie."

Piper disappeared and a glass of milk and a plate of warm cookies appeared on my worktable. I sighed and closed my eyes.

~FLASHBACK~

"When is Pap gonna come back?" seven year-old Malcolm (or as his sister wanted to call him: Peter) asked Piper.

"He'll come back soon, Peter," Piper replied and rubbed his back to soothe him down. "He'll be back soon."

"He's been gone for ten days, I...I..." the boy stuttered and sobbed into his sister's shirt.

"It's going to be alright, Peter," Piper continued to soothe him. "You know what? To make you feel better, why don't I tell you a story?"

Peter stopped crying and slowly nodded, wiping his nose.

"Good boy," Piper gave him warm smile. "Let's get you to bed first and I'll tell you the story."

"O-okay..." Peter stood from his sister's lap and began to walk to their makeshift bed.

"Peter, since you've been a good boy, let me give you a cookie." Piper stood up as well and walked to the cupboard.

"But...isn't that our last one?" he protested.

"Oh, I'm sure Pap would understand." Piper insisted and gave Peter the cold, hardened pastry. "He'd understand that you've been a good boy."

After Peter finished his treat, Piper tucked him in and told him the story. Peter was about to drift off when Piper ave him one last kiss on the forehead.

"Remember what Pap always told us before we went to bed?" she asked. And Peter mustered a small smile. "Think a happy thought."

Peter awoke on the beach he always visited in his dreams. All his troubles faded away. He was free, it was then he called this island his own. Neverland.

Climbing up trees and jumping off its branches, Peter had fun. Fun he'd never experience anywhere else. He knew anything was possible, and he even ripped off his own shadow.

"Master...." it said. "What would you like me to do?"

"I want you to find me boys all over the world to play with. I want them to discover this amazing place of their dreams!" Peter squealed.

The shadow just nodded and flew off.

~YEARS LATER~

Peter suddenly sat upright on his makeshift bed. Sweaty, and breathing heavily. Tears stained his face. He'd been crying in his dreams.

That was his last night in Neverland. Peter was no longer allowed to stay. His shadow said so. Today was Peter's birthday. He just turned twenty. Peter wasn't a kid anymore.

"Piper?" he called out. Unfortunately, there wasn't any sign of his sister anywhere around the house.

She just...disappeared.

And just within months, Peter's life went from bad to worse. His house just got evicted, and he was forced to live on the streets, begging for the smallest of food—even bread crumbs.

He lost everything. His dad, his sister, his Neverland.

It wasn't long before Peter had a wife, and soon, a child named Rumpelstiltskin. He started cheating on people to earn money. Peter's life was so messed up. He thirsted for revenge.

Once he found out he could go back to Neverland, his evil thoughts started to grow.

He abandoned his son. Peter was youthful again. Once again, he got everything he wanted. Food, fun, happiness.

"Shadow," Peter called upon his trusty....well, shadow. "You have a new duty now. All those children worthy of Neverland, take them all here. Now."

"Yes master, even the girls?" his shadow asked.

"No, no. Just choose one out of the millions for me, if I tend to not like her, she dies in Mermaid Lagoon." Peter smirked.

That's when it happened.

His poor, innocent heart turned black. No, scratch that. It turned darker than black.

He was so evil, claiming that he couldn't quench his thirst for revenge. Peter abused his power, saying he deserved it all because of all that happened in his life.

One day, a girl arrived on the island. Without his permission, or the shadow's help. When Peter saw her, it was like looking at a mirror. She looked exactly like him, but with female features.

"Who are you?" He snapped. "What are you doing on my island?"

"Peter, calm down." the girl smirked. "Oh, you've already grown so much."

"Okay, lady." Peter said. "Who the hell are you?"

The girl laughed. "Don't be silly Malcolm. It's me, Piper."

"No, it can't be. My sister...my sister's gone." Peter said, his eyes watering a bit.

"It's me, Malcolm." Piper smirked. "Don't you always tell people to believe?"

"Yeah, but—"

"Then, believe in me."

"What do you want anyway?"

"I heard you could give me what I wanted." Piper said. And her expression suddenly turned dark. "I heard you were going to find a heart that could restore your youth. I want you to give me part of it."

"What's in it for me?" Peter cocked an eyebrow.

"I could give you something happier than Neverland."

"There's no way you could make me leave my island, I-" Peter started but Piper cut him off.

"No. You stay in Neverland, and I'll bring the happiness to you."

Peter suddenly became interested. "Anything else?"

"I'm staying here on Neverland 'till you fulfill your deal."

"When are you bringing me this happiness you're talking about?"

"In the next three centuries, not so bad when you can live immortally here on Neverland." Piper replied.

Peter gave it a really hard thought.

"So, what do you say, brother?" Piper smiled evilly. "Deal?"
