twenty-seventeen
She calls
She doesn't know why
The demons inside
She's broken
I question
She answers
Her mind moves like dancers
From left to right,
No end in sight
But I calm her
I hear it in her breathing
Just seconds ago she was seething
My words like honey, a sheathing
And now it's just a memory
Words of hurt, she said to me
