"Order for Kaytlyn." The lady behind the counter says.
I set my drink down on the table before standing up off of my chair and walking up to the front counter.
I made my way through the crowd of people in line and I grabbed my tray of food.
I carefully made my way back through the crowd of people and back to my seat where I left my drink.
I set my tray of Taco Bell on the table before sitting down.
Taco Bell reminds me of when me and Noah were younger, before we were allowed to stay home by ourselves, our parents used to bring us here.
Speaking... well not speaking, thinking of Noah.
Thinking of Noah, it's been a couple of days since my whole mental breakdown.
Lilli convinced me to take a walk, get some food and take a breather, then come back home.
I began to eat my food, and every so often taking a drink of my root beer.
It tasted sweet, still extremely good, but sweeter than usual.
I shrugged it off and continued eating.
Once I was finished, I threw out my garbage and I headed out the doors of Taco Bell.
I started on my way home.
There was this game that me and Noah always used to play, on the sidewalk.
We would race down a straight road and try to not step on the cracks.
I smiled at the thought before I felt my eyes suddenly go heavy.
They just started to close, but I forced them open. My head went light, very light, and I began to fall to my side.
I tried to steady myself. But my balance was off.
Way off.
I fell to my knees and my eyes closed.
They wouldn't open again, no matter how hard I tried.
But once I felt the rest of me hit the ground, I was out like a light...
~~~
"Is she going to wake up, boss?"
"Of course she is, he didn't put that much in her drink."
"Would you guys shut up! She is going to wake up."
"And if she doesn't?"
"I will shoot you between the eyes if you keep talking."
"Damn bro, just asking."
"Zip it."
"What are we gonna do with her, though."
"What did I say, Jamie."
"Hey, its a reasonable question."
"I don't know yet! If we kill her, Darren's gang will come after us. If we treat her as one of us, she could easily become one of us. And if we treat her like a lady, Darren's gang will still come after us."
"So what do we do?"
"Did you not listen, Jamie? He said he doesn't know."
"Of course I listened, but she could be a good member..."
"Oh zip it, she is a part of Darren's gang, we can scare her into telling us thi-,"
"She is still a girl! She didn't want to be apart of the gang drama! So I don't want a part in her death, I sure hope you guys don't either."
"Kaleb, what the hell is wrong with you today?"
My eyes began to twitch.
I was laying on something comfortable, kind of like a bed or a couch.
My eyes began to slowly open as I shifted my body to the right.
I put my arm over my eyes once they met a bright light.
"Turn the lights off, Noah!" I groaned.
I heard a chuckle that didn't sound like Noah's.
I shot up and took my arm off from over my face.
I scanned my eyes across the room and saw many faces I didn't recognize.
Including Kaleb's.
"Why the hell did I just wake up on your couch?" I asked angrily.
"Kaytlyn, calm down." Kaleb said.
"Uh- hell no! Get me the fuck out of here!" I yelled, standing up off of the couch, then feeling slightly dizzy.
"We aren't going to hurt you, just listen to what we have to say." Someone I don't know says.
"You tried to kill me last time!" I yelled pointing to the one guy that tried to strangle me in the forest.
"You did what?" Kaleb asks.
"I-uh-she-Yes I did." He stuttered.
"Leave the room." Kaleb said.
The guy nodded and walked upstairs.
"Kaytlyn, we aren't going to hurt you, we are trying to hurt Darren's gang." Kaleb added.
"With me? You're using me to hurt Darren? And the people that have protected me?" I questioned.
"Well, Uh-Yeah." He stuttered.
"You just expect me to be okay with this?" I asked.
"Uh-no?" Kaleb said, but it sounded more like a question.
"Let me leave!" I yelled.
"We can't let you do that. Trust me, and you don't want to try." Some guy says, with a dark look in his eyes.
Fear filled my eyes, I could feel it.
"Now you're all scared, aren't ya? You're not as tough as you seem, so you are going to do what we say, got it?" That guy says again, with the same darkness in his eyes.
I gulped before he began talking again.
"So, why don't you come with me?"
He grabbed the back of my shirt and began dragging me away.
I sent Kaleb a scared look, but I didn't have enough time to see if he noticed before he dragged me through a doorway.
He began dragging me down a staircase, not worrying if I missed a step or if I was even still on my feet.
He began to slightly speed up, whacking my head off of something on the way.
I yelped out in pain, but instead he just yelled at me to shut up.
We reached a flat, pavement floor.
He threw me down into a corner, making me hit my face.
"You will stay here, got it?" He said, and without waiting for my answer, he went back upstairs.
I painfully sat up, gripping my head in my hands.
I felt a warm substance dripping down my face.
I followed the trail going down my face to where it started, below my eyebrow.
It was red, sticky, and warm.
Blood.
I was pretty sure that there were other cuts on my face, but I couldn't tell for sure.
As I shifted my body closer to the wall, I felt something in my back pocket of my jeans.
I painfully moved my arm to grab whatever was in my pocket.
I took it out, to realize it was my phone.
My phone!
I may not be stuck down here!
I quickly unlocked it and went into contacts, just to pick Hunters contact.
I don't know why, but I did.
8:42pm- help plz I'm at the Pythons
8:42pm-help
I sent those two messages, and realizing how long I was out for.
What did they knock me out with?
Why did I have to be brought into all of this?
