I am a weed
In a garden of roses
Waiting to be plucked
By the soft hands of death
As they spread their fragrance
As they blossom
I just remain there
Useless and worthless
Why live this life?
Why can't I be a flower?
Or the beautiful oak tree
With its sturdy, thick branches?
God made me like this
These feelings of bitterness
Turn slowly to poison
Withering the leaves
As the snow falls
I shiver alone
As the rain falls
I laugh alone
In this cruel, lonely world
With not a single one
To stand by my side
This loneliness I feel
Is an agonizing hole
Full of hurt and pain
I am a weed

For how long should I wait,
Oh my fair queen of darkness,
When will you hold me
In your cold, inviting arms?
I know that all I do
Is slowly die on the end
Of this great walk of life
That leads to eternal sleep
But I needed more
I needed to not just walk,
I was trying to run desperately
Swiftly to the only kind of freedom
I was ever going to feel
As soon as life let me go
Still, life was grasping tight
And I couldn't ever break free
The nights are colder for me
Than it is for everyone else
For I have never felt
The sweet warmth of love
Because no one can ever love
A useless toxic mess
