Emma POV:
We drove over to his house. It was a couple minutes away from the hotel, but I'm sure the guys wouldn't mind.
"So, what brings you to New Jersey?" He asked
"How did-" I started to say wondering how he knew I wasn't from around here
"Your license plate" he said laughing
"Oh, well I play for Philadelphia Union U-17 WMNT . We made it to the semifinals and we're playing here at the MetLife Stadium" I explained while turning up his street.
"Oh that's cool. When is the game?"
"um in two days" I said signing
"Well I might just show up" he said smirking
"You want to go?" I asked
"Yeah of course, I want to make some new friends" he said laughing
"Like you don't have any" I said
"Can't I just go?" He asked
"Fine, I guess" I said pulling up to his driveway
"So... can I get your number to text you for the game?" He said smirking
"Yeah sure" I said as he handed me his phone
I typed my phone number in, and handed it back. He opened the door. "It was nice meeting you" I waved goodbye. I drove back quickly to the hotel, it was not far from here.
Ethan POV:
"Dude what took you so long" I heard Grayson whine as he ran to grab us coffee
"Well, for starters, Cam never showed up" I said taking a seat at the kitchen island
"So...who brought you home?"
"This girl i bumped into, she was cute I guess. Definitely nice" I said smiling
"Ouuuu"
"No, it's like a friend thing" I said laughing
"Did you get her number?" He asked
"Yuhhh, I'm going to her semi final match, you're coming too" I said and explained everything to him
Emma POV:
I pulled up at the hotel and ran to the room. Everyone was awake, and I passed out the food.
"What took you so long?" Nick said as he sat next to me
"Um, the um the line was long" I said
"You suck at lying" he said laughing
My phone rang. Unknown caller.
"Here, let me answer it" Nick said pulling my phone away from my hands
"I don't think-"
"Hello? Who's this?" Nick spoke into the phone
I heard the other person speak, but I couldn't understand what they were saying.
"She can't talk right now" he said and hung up
"Nick!" I yelled grabbing my phone
"It was some guy named Ethan, you know him?" He asked with a serious tone
"Um, he's just a friend" I said biting my sandwich
"Mhmm" He said and changed the topic.
Wonder what Ethan wanted. I had to call him back.
"I think I left my purse in the car, I'll be back" I said when we finished eating.
I ran downstairs and sat on the bench outside and called Ethan back.
"Hey, it's me, Emma. Sorry about earlier" I said as soon as he responded
"No worries, your boyfriend didn't scare me" he said laughing
"Ew no, he's just a friend" I said
"Mmm ok, well I just wanted to make sure it was you. Oh and my brother, Grayson, I'm sure you know him, he's coming with me to the game if its alright with you" he said
"Yeah, totally. That sounds great" I replied
"Ok, well um I'll see ya around" he said and we said our goodbyes.
I got up and bumped into someone, it was Alex...
"Oh, sorry" I said
"Your purse was upstairs..." he said raising his eyebrow
"Oh, I forgot I'll run back up" I said trying to walk away
He grabbed my arm. Not telling me pass. "We're actually heading to meet with the coaches, Nick and the girls are coming down, get in the car" he said
"Oh, and whoever Ethan is, he's just going to be a distraction for you. Your career is growing fast, it's not worth it" He said walking away
The fuck...
I ignored him and walked to the car and met up with Maria. We sat in the back, and Katie sat in the middle.
"Do you know what the meeting is about?" I asked
"Just rules about the game and our behavior while we're here. The coaches think if we win the game, we could head to the beach after" Katie said
"Oh, cool" I replied
We drove to the restaurant where we were meeting our coaches. No one was hungry so we just sat.
"Alright let's begin..." the coaches started
After 30 minutes of pointless talking about rules, and behavior, and all that shiz the coaches told us we were free to go. It was 4:30 pm, and practice started at 6.
I walked to the counter to order a drink. As I was walking, I was met by a guy with beautiful hazel brown eyes. His skin tone matched perfectly with every single aspect of his body. And his smile, it was perfect... he smiled at me and waved me over.
"Hey, I'm Grayson" he said smiling. Ugh his smile could kill.
I know, I know what you're thinking. You just said the same exact things about his brother wtf. But this was different. I felt a tingly sensation through my whole body. I ran out of air, I felt a connection. Cheesy I know, but he just made me feel a certain way. I could not stop smiling, I could barely speak.
"He-Hey, I'm Emma" I said shyly
"Are you by any chance the girl from Philly Union" he said
"How'd you know?" I said
"Well my brother described a girl, with the exact same features as you. But now I can see he forget one important thing..." he said as he stared into my eyes
"And what would that be?" I said staring right back into his eyes
"That she's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen" he said and kissed my cheek, and walked away.
God. Help. Me.
Alex POV:
I saw Emma get up and walk towards the counter. We sat and waited for her. I glanced over, and what I saw pissed me off. A fucking idiot flirting with her, he was too close to her. Of course she fell for it. I was about to get up, but then Nick pulled me back.
"Hey man what's up? Why so tense?" He said
"Nothing. Don't fucking worry about it"
He looked over and we were both looking at the same thing. The guy walked away and Em was blushing hard, it was obvious from a far.
"Dude, let it go, you ended things with her, stop being an ass" Nick said slapping my head
He was right. And I fucking hate that he was right. But if I see that guy again, he's done. He can't just do that without knowing who she is. What an asshole.
Emma POV:
I walked back to the table with my drink, and grabbed my things.
"Alright, Im ready to go" I said smiling
"Why so happy?" Maria smirked
"Nothing." I said laughing
We walked out, and Nick pulled me to the side.
"Alex saw you talking with that famous dude, what's his name again?"
"Grayson..." I said
"Yeah sure him, and he went all fucking hulk on me, he was pissed. Don't say anything I'm just warning you"
"Warning me? Alex broke up with me! He shouldn't give a -"
"Calm down, I got it under control. Just ignore him, that's what I'm trying to say" he said rubbing my hand
"Thanks, love you" I said and hugged him tight
We drove back to the hotel, and watched The Flash for a bit, while we got ready for practice. Once we finished, we drove to the stadium. They split the guys and the girls up and we each did our thing.
9:00 PM
We arrived at the hotel, and started to get ready for bed. I showered and served everyone cereal. We watched some TV for a bit, and went to bed.
I couldn't stop thinking about Grayson. Why would Grayson...THE Grayson Dolan talk to me?! Ugh. He was so fine.
