Bucky finds himself in a bit of a pickle when he sees Steve's inspirational "so you found yourself hanging with the wrong crowd" videos in dention. And then of course he runs into him in the grocery store and the coffee shop and literally every where.

I throw down my bag, sitting in the back of the room of the detention classroom. There was a couple other kids in here but they were freshman. I let my head fall back. I heard the door open and close again after a few more people came in they were alphas, and the freshmen were omgeas like me. These freshmen were practically melting by being in their presence. The alphas paid no mind to them, their focus was on me sadly. There was four of them two of them sat on either side of me while the other two sat infront of me. I sigh,
" can I help you?" I ask leaning back in my chair not even looking their way.
" sure can sweetheart, Whats youre name doll?"
"Doll?" No one calls me 'doll'
" yeah, what sweetheart do you like it?" His pheramones are weak as fuck. He didnt have a smell that I even liked. He smelled like cigarettes and mint. Bad combination. I elbowed them in their noses.
"No body calls me 'Doll'." I got up and moved to the middle row. None of them followed me, the teacher walked in finally and just turned on a video. It was captain america, just the most alpha guy ever. But I wanted him. I got a wiff of him one time he saved me. And boy howdy I've wanted him and only him ever since. He smelled like spearmint, lavander and fresh linin. Everything I love scent wise. I bit my lip watching the video, damn me being an omega. My wants and needs are ridiculous.
I walk out of the classroom, and head to my job. I worked at a local coffee and bakery shop in Manhattan. I walk in and head straight to the back I shrug off my bag. I put my apron over my school clothes. I tie my hair up into a messy bun a few strands of hair falling in my face. I got some orders ready and then I saw the 4 alphas from earlier walk in. I knew they recognized me.
" Hi how can I help you guys?" I give a fake smile.
" I'll have to take you to go sweetheart."
" are you actually going to order something or are you just gonna sexually harass me?" I wasnt gonna have any of their bullshit. They all ordered a regular coffee. I had their orders out in under a minute. I set them down infront of them at their table,
" here you go guys and if you are interested we do have a bakery with some pretty good cupcakes.
" are they as sweet as you?" Again they flirted. I sighed and walked away. I heard the door open the smell of this alpha... I look up at him it was steve. I bit my lip and suddenly got nervous.
" Hi welcome in, what can I get started for you?" I give him a genuine smile.
" Kid?" I tilt my head to the side a bit
" what?" I ask actually confused
" the kid, that I saved, Bucky right?" Oh my god he remembers me. I nod
" You seem tense you okay?" He asks i nod again. I glance behind him to see the alpha pack making really obsecene jestures. I look at steve again,
" Yeah Im fine. " I lie.
" okay well im gonna probaly stay here for awhile so I'll take the biggest you have in a caramel frap with no whipped cream please. " I nod
" Sure thing hero." I joke he smirks? Did he just smirk at me?
" Whats the damage?"
" on the house ya know for saving my life and all." I smile brightly at him,
"I'll bring it over to you when its done, do you want anything else?"
He peaked over at our bakery area
" a couple of cookies too please." He had grown a bread since the last time I saw him, it was a couple months ago.
"Is white chocolate macadamia nut okay?" He nods and tips me forty. My mouth falls open.
" Whats this for I didn't even do anything!"
" the first 20 is for being a wonderful person and the second is to thank you for letting this be on the house." He smiles and walks to the table next to the other alphas. I frown at that but I work quickly making a 2x caramel frap without whipped cream and grabbing 3 cookies from the fridge case. I walk out from behind the counter setting them down on his table.
" Thank you Bucky." He smiles
" Youre welcome, Steve."
I wonder back behind the counter and start playing on my phone. Steve walks back up to the counter,
" Hey Bucky, whats up with those guys they keep staring at you like youre a peice of meat." He gestures behind himself to the pack of alphas still here.
" Oh uh, I go to school with them they're main guy wants me and I refuse because I have my eyes on someone else." I say quietly.
" is he harrassing you?" I glance up at the main alpha he continues the obscene jestures while is friend do the girly moans with the occasional ' oh yeah chad just like that!'
I wanted to shrink down into nothingness.
" maybe. I guess yeah." I say in a small voice. He knew I was omega I knew he knew. He growled. He fucking growled at them, I almost caved in on myself. The other alphas shrunk back,
"Leave him alone. Its pretty fuckin obvious that he doesnt like your attention. Now get outta here before I kick your sorry asses out." I gulp wanting to hide. He was angry not at me but at them.
He turned back to me,
" Sorry bout that Buck, I hate it whem omegas get cat called when the seriously dont want it. Been a pet peve of mine since I can remember. " he smiled at me, I give a small smile back I place my hand on the counter.
" hey did I scare you?" I shrug he did but I didnt want him to leave.
" a little bit but thats only cause Im not the biggest fan of growling and yelling type thing" I say, I still am quiet because its honestly how I am. I'm not a loud person I'm quite quiet most of the time.
" Im sorry Bucky I didnt mean to." He places his hand over mime in an attempt to comfort.
" its all right Steve you didn't mean to." I smile, I pull away climbing over the counter.
" so what are your plans for today steven?"
"Me? Well lets see, I was just thinking after this maybe a walk in central park, do some sketching here and there. I'm really sorry again about scaring you like that. I don't know what happened back there." He gave me a sad look.
" It's really fine you were just being protective is all. I know how it feels being on your end amd my end. Everyone thought I was an alpha until i wasnt anymore. I mean hell I'm still kinda small but I'm tough as nails man." I pause glancing at the clock
" could I maybe join you?" His face lit up
" yes of course! What time are you off?" His smile brightened up the whole room.
" in 30 mintues. Uh do you want me to meet you or do you want to stay here?" Yes I'm nervous, but, who wouldn't be this was captain fucking america and my biggest crush since I was a kid.
" I can wait here make it easier and that way those kids dont come back. " he smiled.
I finally get off my shift and practically jump over the counter,
" c'mon doll lets go. " he put out his elbow for me to hook my arm around which I did with a big grin. We walked out of the warm coffee shop and out into the cooler air of new york in the fall. I was trying my damnedest to not blush but it was hard when he guided me both by my waist and arm. We made it to the park still arm in arm.
" so what do you like drawing?" I look at him, he looked very relaxed. A small bit of red was on his nose from it being cooler outside.
" Well I like drawing people, animals, landscapes," he looked at me with a small smile.
" but I really like painting, I love painting especially with oils. In the 40s I couldnt buy them because they were so expensive. But my ma, before she passed bought me some with the money we had left from her paycheck that week. It was really nice." He looked up trying to blink the tears away.
" I'm sorry i didn't mean to strike a chord." He shook his head putting an arm around me pulling me closer.
" no, dont be, its nice sometimes. Its good to talk about that kind of stuff." He leaned his head on mine. I felt my face pull into a huge smile. We ended up walking to the lake pond thing thats in the park. We sat on a rock near the water edge. He pulled out his sketch book and a pencil opening to a new blank page. He began sketching the horizon line then went from there adding trees and bushes making sure everuthing was shaded properly.
" youre amazing Steve" I was blown away by it, it looked like he took a picture and pasted it into his book.
" thanks buck" he looked over at me with a smile. He was really close to my face. I smile back, I notice him glance at my lips then back up to my eyes. I feel myself do the same. Our noses brush agaisnt eachother.
" Okay Capcicle we need you at the tower!" A voice behind us says. I turn around quickly moving away from steve. I ended up falling off the rock. I landed where i was on my back but my legs were propped up on the rock. Steve looked over at the man. I think it was tony stark. Holy shit its iron man. I look at steve and back to tony.
" tony im kind of in the middle of something." Steve looked over at me
" holy- are you okay bucky?" He got off the rock helping me up. He held me close to him.
" so bring your new boy toy with you"
I blush I look slightly up at steve he rolls his eyes.
" hes not my boy toy tony, hes my new friend?" He looked down at me with a slight look of disappointed look. I look at tony
" hey tony can you look away really quick?" He nods and turns around. Steve looks at me confused look. I smile and cup his jaw in my hands pulling him down to kiss him.
" wait buck I dont want us to..." I knew what he was implying his mind set is still in the 1930s, when being queer wasnt right.
" steve its okay, we aren't gonna get arressted." He lets out a breath of relief barly whispering ' oh yeah' before he crashes his lips agaisnt mine. He held my waist pulling me closer. I wrap my arms around his neck.
" Okay I'm turning around now and if you two are making out I'm making you two walk to the tower." Steve pulls away placing his forehead agaisnt mine. We still havent opened out eyes yet.
" so you wanna do this again some time?"
" yeah of course I would." I smile opening my eyes. I heard tony make a gag noise.
" steven grant rogers, rogers's boy toy lets go I'm not waiting forever"
We went to the tower and i ended up staying the night it was nice he was very warm and cuddly. I think this is a step in the right direction and the start of something wonderful.
