Knightly's P.O.V
I started going through requests of packs who needed money or protection after that and got startled when Maynor suddenly appeared in front of me. Maynor then asked me while taking a seat on the opposite side of me and putting his feet upon my desk "How does it feel like to be the king of the world my dear cousin. Does it feel like you're walking on clouds and do you like it when people kiss your ass?" I growled loudly when I heard what Maynor had said but then chuckled when I sensed why he was angry. "Ah, our Maynor is angry because he can't get access to his money yet" I said to Maynor to mock him and he then jumped out of his seat in anger while yelling "I need money to survive on earth Knightly and Micah said that he would give us everything back when we joined you then why can't I get access to my accounts yet".
"It's because I moved the money to other accounts Maynor" I said to Maynor and it looked like he was fuming with anger now. I then decided to tell Maynor the truth before he would burst and said "Micah asked me to remove your money from your accounts because he had sensed that your uncle would try to steal it from you. And he was right by the way because not long after you were defeated, your uncle sent your cousin to empty your accounts while posing as you. It was quite humorous to see how he struggled to explain to the clerk when it was the last time that you had visited the bank". "And how do you know about all this Knightly?" asked Maynor me in anger and I then answered his question with "Because I own the bank Maynor".
Maynor started pulling his hair in frustration and then yelled "Just tell me when I can get my money back you egotistical jerk". I burst out laughing when I realized that I had managed to irk Maynor and then said to him "Go home and look into the drawer of your night stand Maynor. You'll find a file in it with all your account details". "The information was in that damn drawer all this time?" asked Maynor me stunned and I then replied to him while chuckling with "That was courtesy of Micah because he was certain that you would join us in fighting this war". "Oh, why isn't he mine" uttered Maynor to rile me up suddenly but I just ignored him. Maynor then burst out laughing and said while disappearing "You better hold on tight to him my dear cousin because I would hate to lose a great asset like him and it won't be long before I find out how Andreas and Noah gained so much power". The only thing that I could yell back to Maynor was "Don't come into my office as you please Maynor!"
Nicholas walked into my office the moment Maynor left while saying "It's time for the press conference my king". I nodded with my head at Nicholas and then stood up while straightening my tie. "You look good sir" said Nicholas suddenly while looking intently at me and he then quickly added "I mean you look presentable my king" when I frowned at him. He motioned me to follow him after that and we then took the elevator down to the ground floor where the press conference would be taking place. Camera lights started flashing the moment the elevator door opened and reporters started yelling questions at me. I just ignored them and walked straight to the conference hall.
The reporters and camera men quickly followed us and they all received a copy of my statement from my men at the entrance of the hall to make sure that they didn't ask me any unnecessary questions. I took my place behind the microphone at the conference table and then motioned Nicholas to start the press conference. I started scanning through the room to see if there was something unusual and groaned inwardly when I sensed a witch amongst the reporters. "How dare she set foot on my territory?'' I asked myself while observing the witch and frowned when I noticed that she was too distracted to even sense who was sitting in front of her. It then hit me that this girl didn't even know that she had witches blood in her and that I was the king.
I took my eyes off the girl when I realized that the reporters were now focussing their attention on her. I then heard Nicholas say "Mister Silverstone will now answer a few selective questions regarding his statement but please keep in mind that there are no personal questions allowed". Nicholas motioned one of the reporters to come forward then and said "Go ahead" to him. The reporter quickly grabbed his note pad and then asked me "Can you tell me why you thought that it was necessary to call a press conference when you already have your statement ready sir?"
Nicholas was just about to ask the reporter to sit down when I put my hand up to stop him from doing so because this was the chance I was waiting for. I looked at the reporter and then answered his question with "I called a press conference today because I wanted everyone to know that if you show up at the gate of my mansion with a baby in your arms claiming that it's mine then expect to be charged for theft. The baby will obviously undergo a DNA test to prove if it's mine or not and even if it's mine, I don't have any reason to accept it because I handpick the surrogate mothers who can carry my children so don't expect to extort any money from me".
All the reporters looked stunned at me and they all then started yelling questions at me but I just stood up while ignoring them. I was just about to walk out of the conference room when I heard one of the reporters say "Your new lover must be very possessive to leave such a big bite mark on your neck mister Silverstone". I smiled when I realized why Micah was looking so intently at my neck that morning and knew that he had probably casted a spell on the bite mark to make sure that it didn't heal. I knew that he had his reasons behind doing something like that so said to Nicholas while frowning at the reporter "Ban this reporter from ever posting anything regarding my family or me, Nicholas". The reporter started screaming that he didn't deserve to be banned but I didn't care because he should have thought twice before opening his big mouth. I then mind linked Nicholas while walking out of the room and said "Make sure that you find out who that girl sitting in the back row is Nicholas. She's wearing a red floral dress and looks lost. I don't think that she's a reporter so she doesn't have a reason to be here" . Nicholas replied to me with "As you wish my king" and I then stepped into the awaiting elevator.
I went straight to my office after that and tried to mind link Micah to ask him why he had left a mark on my neck but it seemed like he had blocked everything out. I then decided to contact the alpha's to ask them how the training of their pack were going and frowned when I heard alpha Rob of the Blue Moon pack say that the teens of their pack hard heard some humans in their town say that they had seen some werewolves roaming free in their forest. Alpha Rob was clearly frightened by the fact that humans now knew about the existence of werewolves and I calmed him down by saying that I would send my men to look into it. I quickly made a note to ask Noah and Andreas to handle this case because I wanted to see how far they had come in their training.
Connor, Nathan and Jeremy came to talk to me about building a safe house for every pack in the world because of the upcoming war after that and we had lunch together after discussing how the packs could finance their own safe house. Connor and the others went to carry out their own duties after eating and I then busied myself with work again. I didn't even realize when the clock reached four o'clock and frowned at Nicholas when he suddenly walked into my office. "The girl that called this morning is already here my king" said Nicholas then continued with "And it seems like she has been waiting here this whole time because she's the same girl that was present at the press conference this afternoon".
I sighed while remembering my hatred for witches and then said to Nicholas while getting up from my chair "Take her personal information and then do a background check on her before sending her in". Nicholas replied to me with "As you wish my king" and then walked out of my office. I walked to my giant window after that because I needed to calm myself down and then started thinking about how this couldn't be just a coincidence. I knew that I had to be careful from now on because there was a chance that she could be a spy for the witches and the fact that I, as the king couldn't take any actions against her annoyed me to the core.
My office door then suddenly opened and I heard Nicholas yell "Didn't I tell you to wait in the waiting room until I called you miss. You're not allowed in yet so please return to your seat". I groaned inwardly when I heard the girl then reply to Nicholas with "I have been waiting here for hours already and I don't have the patience to wait anymore so tell your boss that I demand to see him immediately or I'll tell the media that he's a brute". Nicholas looked apologetically at me when he heard the girl utter those words and I then said to him "Let her come in Nicholas". I then walked up to the girl while buttoning up my suit jacket and it seemed like the girl had lost her will to speak suddenly.
"Is there something wrong?" I asked the girl while frowning at her and looked in shock at the girl when I heard her reply to me with "Please marry me sir". "What the hell are you talking about?" I yelled at the girl and she then quickly replied to me with "I'm sorry sir, I didn't mean that it just slipped out of my mouth". I couldn't stand the girl anymore so asked her "Why were you so eager to talk to me girl?" The girl smiled broadly at me and then answered my question with "I'm Jasmin Cooper, sir and I wanted to talk to you about the courses that are going to be offered at the new university". I quickly put my hand up to stop the girl from talking when I noticed that she was lying and said "Tell me why you're really here before I ask my personal assistant to throw you out Jasmin".
Jasmin started nervously looking around her when she heard my question and I then said to Nicholas in anger "Throw her out Nicholas and make sure that she doesn't even dare to talk to the media about our meeting". I was just about to walk back to my desk when I heard the girl yell "How dare you ruin my life while living leisurely Knightly Silverstone. I knew that you were too good to be true from the beginning but I have seen with my own eyes today how cruel you can be". I had enough of the girl and bit my lip before I could hit her. I then suddenly heard Micah say through our mind link "Just play along Knigh" and I slowly turned around to face the girl. I then said to her while looking straight into her eyes "Would you be so kind enough to tell me what exactly you're babbling about Jasmin Cooper before you make me do something that I'll regret later".
I was now sure that Micah was by my side and didn't even care about what Jasmin was about to say but Star instantly growled when he heard her say "I'm the mother of your child Knightly Silverstone and I demand that you marry me". Micah chuckled at my misery through our mind link when he heard what Jasmin had said and I groaned inwardly. I then asked Jasmin "And how exactly did I get you pregnant Jasmin Cooper?" Jasmin looked angrily at me and then replied to me with "I went to my gynecologist for a regular checkup before I could take my final exams to become a nurse and woke up a few days later in a hospital. There was a woman sitting next to my bed when I opened my eyes and the woman told me then that the most powerful and richest man in the world had chosen me to carry his child".
"I was furious when I heard the woman utter those words and demanded to meet you personally because I had a feeling that she was lying. She then promised me that you would come by but you never did and the woman tried to move me to another facility but I hit her on her head with a bedpan and escaped. I tried to contact you many times but was never successful in doing so and I had then no other choice then to move to another country in fear of getting caught again. I have been living day by day with my child and I can't take it anymore so came to fight for my rights". I looked at Nicholas as soon as Jasmin was done uttering nonsense then said to him "You have her personal details Nicholas, go and try to verify if what she's telling is the truth".
Nicholas replied to me with "Right away sir" and then walked out of my office. I then looked at Jasmin and asked her while keeping my anger in check "And where is my so called child Jasmin?" Jasmin smiled broadly at me and then answered my question with "He's playing in the mansion's garden Knightly Silverstone, there was no better place to hide him then in the mansion's garden when I arrived here". I nodded with my head at Jasmin and then said to her "Go bring him to me Jasmin, I'm dying to meet my son". Jasmin immediately walked out of my office to get her son and I then mind linked Micah and said "Can you please tell me what's going on love because she seems to be telling me the truth".
I groaned when Micah replied to me with "Prepare yourself for a treat Knigh" and frowned when I suddenly heard Nicholas say "It looks like I'll have to go personally to the hospital where Jasmin was inseminated because they don't want to share any information about their patients due to their privacy law, my king". "Go and find out who this so called woman about which Jasmin was talking about is, Nicholas" I said to Nicholas and then added "I want all the information on my desk by eight o'clock". Nicholas nodded with his head at me then walked out of my office and I instantly started thinking about the whole situation. I knew that this child couldn't be mine because I would have otherwise sensed him in the mansion's garden already. "Then who's child is he?" I asked myself and got startled when I heard Jasmin say "Meet your son Zale Cooper, Knightly Silverstone".
Star growled "Not ours" the moment he laid his eyes on Zale and I then yelled "Maynor!" when I noticed a resemblance between Zale and us. Jasmin looked in shock at me when she heard me yell and then pulled her son closer to her. The child looked frightened at Maynor when he suddenly appeared in front of him while yelling "What do you want Knightly, I was just about to pummel Andreas into the ground when you called out to me and you have now ruined my chance to get some entertainment on this boring day". "Is he yours?" I asked Maynor while looking at Zale and heard him then reply to me while following my gaze with "Are you crazy Knightly, I don't scatter my seeds around like you do so why are you asking me this question?"
I sighed while looking at Jasmin and then answered Maynor's question with "This woman claims that this child belongs to me and that I should marry her but I know for sure that he's not mine". I shook my head at Maynor when he burst out laughing then uttered "That right there, is the entertainment that I was looking for my dear cousin". I was just about to ask Jasmin if she would agree to do a DNA test to prove if Zale was truly my child or not when Jasmin asked Maynor "From where did you come from just now and how did you manage to do that?" Maynor looked intently at Jasmin as response and I knew that it was because he had sensed that she had witches blood in her.
"This was a well thought out plan cousin" uttered Maynor while looking at Zale and I nodded with my head at him in agreement because I had finally realized that this whole drama was created just to find out if Micah and I were still mated. I felt sorry for Jasmin and her son and said to her "You have a beautiful son, Jasmin but I need prove that says that he's truly mine so we'll have to conduct a DNA test". "I'll only agree to do the DNA test if you promise to marry me, Knightly Silverstone" yelled Jasmin while hugging her son tightly and I then said to her while walking menacingly up to her "I will never marry again Jasmin Cooper".
Jasmin looked in disappointment at me and was just about to retort to me when my office door suddenly flew open and a cute omega boy ran into my office. "How could you do this to me Knightly Silverstone. How could you sire a child with someone else?" yelled the omega boy while crying and then continued with "Were you lying to me when you said that you would make me, Amory your other half?" My mouth flew open when I heard what the omega boy had said and I wanted to kick Maynor when he yelled "Betrayal knows your name Knightly Silverstone". Star yelled "Mine" while looking at the omega boy and I knew exactly why. I rubbed my face in frustration while looking at Jasmin and Amory then tried to figure out what I had done to deserve all this.
Things got out of hand when Jasmin suddenly said "That filth can't give you any children Knightly Silverstone and I have already given you one so send that hooker away". Maynor burst out laughing when he heard Amory yell while crying "How could you let her talk about me like that Hun Bun, I love you know". I groaned loudly and then said "This is too much for me and Amory is right Jasmin, I really did promise him to make him my other half last night". Jasmin's eyes widened in shock and she then asked me while looking at Amory "Was he the one who left that bite mark on your neck, Knightly Silverstone?" I nodded with my head at Jasmin and then replied to her with "Yes Jasmin, he's the one but that doesn't concern you".
I got startled when Jasmin then yelled "You selfish prick, go find another man to leech on because this one is mine!" at Amory and I then thought to myself while looking at Zale "This child really doesn't need to hear all this". I was just about to walk over to Zale to take him to Nicholas's office when Amory ran to me and said while hugging me tightly "Tell her that you only love me Knightly". It felt like I was about to suffer from a headache despite werewolves never having a headache when Jasmin yelled "Get away from the father of my child you whore. I had never thought that Knightly Silverstone was such a player I guess you and Micah Lockwood truly deserved each other. I can't let my child witness this behavior any longer so I will be coming back tomorrow. Make sure that this slut isn't around by then or else there will be hell to pay".
Jasmin then picked up her son and walked out of my office. Amory burst out laughing when Jasmin slammed the door behind her in anger and I asked him then "Can you please change back into Micah, Amory because this form really doesn't suit you and you're scaring me". Micah slowly changed back into himself again and then uttered while sitting down at my conference table "This was truly organized to see if we had a connection with each other or not Knigh and I have a feeling that our enemy was expecting me to step in just now". "What about Jasmin and her son then Micah?" asked Maynor while frowning at Micah and then continued with "Why do you think that the witches used specifically her to approach Knightly?"
Micah smiled at Maynor and then answered his question with "You'll soon find out Maynor, I already asked Raeghal and Dorant to follow Jasmin so make sure that your pupil is ready for battle". "My pupil is always ready for battle Micah" said Maynor while smiling at him and then added "I can't say the same about Amitiel's pupil though". Micah was just about to reply to Maynor when Nicholas walked into my office. I knew that Micah had masked Maynor's and his scent and presence so wasn't worried about Nicholas finding out that we weren't alone in my office.
"Jasmin Cooper has never been treated by a gynecologist in this state, my king" said Nicholas while handing a file over to me and then continued with "She's just a normal housewife from Phoenix who went missing a few months ago. I found her data in general police files and it looks like her husband placed a missing person's report when Jasmin suddenly disappeared. The police has been looking for her since then but it seems like Jasmin somehow always manages to stay out of their sight". There were details about the disappearance of Jasmin in the file that Nicholas gave me and I found it odd that the police had mentioned in their report that Jasmin wasn't in her right mind.
"Good job Nicholas" I said to Nicholas while handing the file over to him and heard Micah groan when Nicholas replied to me while smiling broadly with "Thank you my king". Maynor chuckled while looking at Micah and I then said to Nicholas so he could quickly leave "Try to contact Jasmin Cooper's husband and tell him to come to California when you reach him but keep in mind not to tell him the reason why I have summoned him". Nicholas replied to me with "As you wish my king" and then added "And I'll think of a reason for summoning him my king". I nodded with my head at Nicholas and heard Micah then utter "It's show time boys, we finally have the location of the witches hideout".
