Johnny
It's been three hours since I arrived at the hospital. They took mackenzie immediately and I had to wait about an hour before I had some company. The whole time I sat in the waiting room, freaking the hell out. What if she dies? I texted Lauren and told her to being Brynn and Annie. Ten minutes later they arrived and they were with conner as well. I hated that he was here but I know he's her friend. That was two hours ago. Now we are all waiting patiently in the waiting room. Well, they're waiting patiently. I've been tapping my foot the entire time just freaking out. A doctor came in and walked over to us. I shot up and stood in front of him. "Is she okay? Can we see her? Is she dead?" I fired off questions quickly until he held a hand up to stop me. "Sir, sir, sir. She is alright." I let out a breath of relief and managed to put a smile on my face. She's okay. "Are you guys immediate family? Because if not I can't let you in." My breath caught in my throat for a second. No no no. I have to see her, I need to see her. "Yes I'm her fiance," I said quickly. I mean, I'm not lying. "And these are my sisters Lauren and Brynn. This is Mackenzie's sister Annie. And her brother Conner." Lauren and Brynn were blonde like me and annie was brunette so it was believable. I don't know about Conner but it was enough. He nodded before saying, "Follow me." he lead us down a hallway and stopped at a door before opening it. When we walked in my heart felt stabbed. Mackenzie was laying in the hospital bed with bandages around her head and her hand in a cast. When the girls walked in they gasped and rushed to Mackenzie's side. "She has a broken hand," the doctor started. "As well as a concussion. She's going to be alright but also in a lot of pain. Her hand must've been slammed in some kind of door for that kind of damage, and she most likely fell and hit her head. Am I correct?" I looked at him and nodded. "I-I only know that she fell," he nodded and turned to walk out the room but stopped and said something to us. "She's only unconscious, she should wake up soon." and then he walked out the door.
We were all sitting around Mackenzie, waiting for her to wake up. My phone is blowing up with texts from Nadia but I don't care. All I care about right now is Mackenzie. We've been sitting in silence for ten minutes all thinking about what's going on. "What happened?" Annie asked suddenly and we all looked at her, then they all looked at me. I'm the only one who knows a little bit. I explained to them what happened when I found her and they all nodded. When I was done Lauren looked sad but Annie, Brynn and Conner all looked mad. "What's wrong?" I asked and they all looked at me. "It's was those motherfuckers." annie said angrily. Her teeth were clenched and her hands balled into fists. Brynn took notice and she pulled Annie into a hug to calm her down. It was funny because Annie was the one comforting Brynn the last time I saw them. "Who?" I asked and this time Conner answered me. "That fucking girl, the one with reddish hair." I had no idea who he was talking about so I let it go. We heard a groan come from Mackenzie and we all stood up and surrounded her bed. No one said anything except for Brynn who whispered at Conner to turn the bright lights off. Seconds later mackenzie's eyes fluttered open and she tried to sit up. "No stay down," I said but she didn't listen and sat up anyway. Her eyes opened again and she looked around at us as if she were trying to figure out who we were. "Wha-what happened?" she asked and we all breathed out, relieved. "Why am I here?" she was so cute when she was confused. Her brown eyes were looking at us so innocently and her voice was so quiet. "You passed out, Kenz." I answered and she turned to look at me. She studied my face for a second before answering me. "I thought I died." then she fell back into the bed and sighed. We all looked at each other and the same expression was mirrored on each of our faces. Worry. "Why do you think you died?" Conner asked shakily. "Because I want to." she said with her eyes closed. We all looked at each other again. She lifted her arm up and instantly winced. "You okay Kenz?" Lauren asked and mackenzie nodded. She opened her eyes and looked at her left broken hand. Then she laughed. I was confused, why is she laughing about that?
Mackenzie was cleared to leave a few hours later and we drove her home. She immediately went upstairs and into her room, not saying a word to any of us. My parents looked worried but I explained and they were okay. They aren't going to tell the school though because we told them not to. We were all sitting at the table when I decided to speak. "So, I saw something that I shouldn't have." I said and they all looked up to me. "Um, mackenzie isn't, healthy." they gave me a puzzled look so I explained further. "She, she is really skinny. Like, not healthy skinny. I could see her ribs and her, stomach was sunken in." they were shocked, staring at me with wide eyes. I felt a few tears escape my eyes and lauren pulled me in for a hug. I calmed down soon and looked at them again. I was going to say something but then the doorbell rang. We all went to get it and when I opened the door and saw nadia I smiled. "Hey baby," she said but Conner interrupted. "Oh HELL no." I looked at him and he was angry. "What the hell's your problem?" I asked a little annoyed. He turned to me, "This fucking bitch hurt Mackenzie." what the hell is this idiot taking about? "Watch how you speak about my girlfriend you dick." I growled. "Guys please?" Lauren said and got in between us. "And don't you fucking lie about her either." he grit his teeth and stared at me. "I'm not fucking lying you asshole. I saw it with my own two eyes. I'm not making this shit up!" now he's just getting me angry. I clenched my fist swung at him. It connected with his cheek and he stumbled back into Brynn. She caught him before he fell and he looked back at me. His eyes were full of rage but so were mine. He charged at me and knocked me to the ground. He was on top of me and he smashed his fist into my face.
Mackenzie
I heard commotion downstairs and I contemplated on whether or not I would go down there. My head and hand hurt but not as badly as before. I can't believe that I didn't die. I really thought I would. But, then again, it's only a broken hand and a concussion. I sighed before getting up to go downstairs and see what was going on. I walked down the stairs and to the front door but stopped when I saw what was going on. The girls were all screaming and trying to stop Johnny and Conner from fighting, and Nadia was there too, great. Johnny punched Conner in the face once more before I screamed at him to stop. Everyone froze and turned around. When Johnny turned around I saw that he had a cut on his head which was bleeding and his lip was cut. Conner has blood running down his face from his nose and his eye was swelling up. "What the hell are you guys doing?!" I was leaning against the wall for support because my head was pounding but I was still staring at them. They all started talking at once trying to explain what happened but it was all too much. I put my good hand on my head and closed my eyes, trying to block out the noise they were making. I counted to ten and by 5 someone had wrapped an arm around me. I opened my eyes to see Annie and Brynn standing in front of me with Lauren next to me. "Sorry kenz," she said and I nodded with a smile. "Now, John, explain quietly and calmly." I looked over at Johnny who was still just staring at me. "I, we, um. He stopped stuttering and took a deep breath before answering me. "Something happened and Conner and I got into a fight." he said. "Yeah, fucking Nadia showed up." Conner said and crossed his arms. John turned around to look at him and Conner just stared right back. I looked at Nadia who was looking at me with an evil smile. I closed my eyes once again and turned around and started walking away from them. I heard them all follow me but I didn't care. I just need to sit down. I sat on one of the chairs in the living room and laid my head back for a few minutes with my eyes closed. "It hurts really bad," I said to no one in particular. Someone took my good hand and I opened my eyes to see Conner sitting next to me in the other chair with a wet rag in his hand cleaning off his face. I smiled at him and leaned over to kiss his cheek. He kissed mine back when I pulled away and we smiled at each other. "AWWW!" we looked forward to see Annie, Lauren and Brynn looking at us with smiles. Nadia looked unimpressed and Johnny looked mad. Why? "How do you feel?" Conner asked and I turned back to him. "Well, not great." I answered and he chuckled before kissing my cheek again. "My hand hurts, but not too much. It's my head that hurts the most which is odd because it's my hand that's broken." he nodded and kissed my cheek again. Johnny walked out of the room angrily but I'm confused as to why. Nadia was still staring at me with that smirk that made me feel uneasy. "So, Mook- I mean, mackenzie," she said and I rolled my eyes. "How did your hand get hurt?" "Shut the hell up you bitch! You know how!" Conner yelled and his eyes ignited into flames again. He was on the edge of the chair, daring someone to make him get up. I used my bad hand and touched his forearm which caused him to look at me. "Con, please relax." his eyes softened and he sat back. His once tensed forearm was now relaxed again. He was still glaring at Nadia but at least he was calm. I turned to look at her and answered calmly. "It was slammed in a locker." Johnny had just walked back in and he looked at me with pain in his eyes. "What?" I was confused about the way he said it. So full of worry and pain. Even a little anger. "By who?" I panicked. I can't tell them, they'll tell the school and then it'll get worse. "I accidentally did. I went to close it and I didn't realize my hand was in the door." I lied as I looked to the floor. Conner squeezed my hand and I looked up at him. His eyes were full of worry
"Don't lie to us, Kenz." he said softly and my eyes widened. "I-Im not lying." "Mackenzie, no one slams their own hand in a locker." Johnny said from across the room. He and Nadia were still standing up and his arm was around her waist. Lauren, Annie and Brynn were glaring at him and I couldn't help but to laugh. Bryn's face looked so mad and her face is funny when she's mad. They all looked at me, puzzled as to why I was laughing. I waved it off and they all looked at each other which made me laugh again. They most likely think I'm crazy but that's alright, because I do too.
Johnny
I pulled Nadia to the side while everyone else was watching movies. She kissed me but I lightly pushed her away. She looked at me confused but I started talking. "Why did you say those things about Mackenzie?" I asked and she looked even more confused. "When you called her fat." she realized what I meant and rolled her eyes. "Oh, Johnny, I was just kidding." Anger bubbled up in me again and she saw that. She put her hands on my shoulders and looked into my eyes. "I'm sorry John, I won't do it again." I couldn't tell if she was being genuine or not so I just sighed and kissed her before taking her hand and walking back to the living room. When we came back I saw Mackenzie curled up with Conner, sleeping. He kissed her head then closed his eyes too and that made me angry and jealous. I had stopped in my tracks so when Nadia kept walking she pulled me with her. I fell on the couch next to Lauren who was falling asleep too, as well as Annie and Brynn. It's around 11 pm and we were all watching movies the whole day. Nadia laid on me and started kissing my neck but I couldn't help but to stare at Conner and Mackenzie, they looked so peaceful and happy. Nadia grabbed my dick and that's when I stopped her. "Really Nads?" I said and she smirked at me before kissing me. I kissed her back but then my mind imagined it as Mackenzie and I pulled away quickly. She looked confused but I had to catch my breath. Why the hell do I keep doing this?! I sighed and kissed Nadia again before getting comfortable on the couch and slowly drifting off to sleep with thoughts of Mackenzie dancing through my mind.
