I still couldn't wrap my head around that. Could a Prime like him really die? I hoped he couldn't, but my gut told me otherwise. The truth was, I couldn't lose him. I already lost my mom, and that tore me apart. Those scars only healed because of Optimus, who became the father I never had. Losing him would give me new scars that I didn't know if I could recover from.
I remember falling into the darkness, into all of the negative thoughts bouncing around in my mind because I felt powerless.
But I wasn't.
There was an unmistakable power within me. I was the Champion of Cleona. I had the ability to control Cybertronian and Earth metals on command. Even beyond that, I'm Amanda Beckett. Like hell I was powerless.
So I fought on. Because in times like these, when all feels lost and when it seems like the bad guys won, we all have to remember.
We all have the power within. We just need to use it.
