Fraden

He was an annoying little thing, that much was obvious. He complained about every thing like a brat. It was a wonder I hadn't swallowed him whole.

"I mean seriously! I'm not a big fan of snakes, alright!? I can't deal! You need to promise me they won't show up."

"I can not do that." I told him honestly as we walked through the forest.

"Ugh! This is so disgusting! Wait, why are we going this way? Your home is that cave! Why did we leave it if you want to go home!? This makes no sense."

"That was not my home, you idiot."

"What? Then what was it?" I stopped and turned to him, he stumbled. "Woah!" He nearly fell and I grabbed his arm.

"That was my prison, alright?" I confessed calmly. "The Supreme Council deemed me to dangerous for the world and because they couldn't kill me, confinement was the next  best thing." He blinked his intriguing purple eyes which were filled with curiosity but also fear. I smirked, let go of him and turned to continue our journey.

It would be so much easier for me to shift and travel in snake form, it was faster, more efficient and these legs were useless. As thick and strong as they looked, using them annoyed me. I saw in various colours of orange, green, yellow and specks of red. I blinked and allowed my eyes to shift to their human state, of dark brown. The change had me blinking rapidly to adjust to the sudden brightness of sunlight.

"Why couldn't they kill you?" He asked after a while rather quietly.

"You want to kill me,huh?" I chuckled pushing branches out of my way. "You'll have a hard time trying but go ahead." I told him instead.

I wasn't about to reveal to him why, not when it would raise the question of what can kill me. That kind of information, one does not go around giving.

"Fine!" He huffed, "why am I with you anyway!? Why haven't you killed me? Can't you just let me go?" His constant questions were too much. He wanted so many answers so soon. It was... unbearable.

"I'm supposed to be imprisoned, nobody should know I'm not and since you set me free somehow," I looked at him and smirked. "I can't let you go, can't let you go around telling people what you saw or did, now can I?" He blinked.

We came into a clearing then and a black mamba found it's way to me.

Master!  It called me, you are here! I smiled as it slithered around me before climbing onto my leg and wrapping around my waist.

"Indeed I am, how are you?" I asked the gorgeous reptile.

Hungry, she stated and flicked her tongue out. But otherwise very good, especially now that I have seen you. I chuckled as she slithered down.

"News travel's too fast." I told her and she hummed. "What will I find in that direction?" I asked her pointing to where she had come from.

Wolves! One of them nearly killed me,master! It was horrible, don't go there. She confessed and I nodded.

"Thank you," I told her and she hummed before moving away to find food.

"Oh gods, please help me. I don't think I'll be able to handle another snake, please stop talking to them when I'm around!" I rolled my eyes before moving in the opposite direction of where black mamba had come in.

"Hey! What's your name anyway?" I smirked.

"Wouldn't you like to know?"

"Well, not really but I'm tired of calling you snake man."

"Wow, how creative." I said and shook my head. "My name is Fraden." I gave him knowing he couldn't really do much with my name, especially since I plan to have him locked up until further notice.

"Oh...well, I'm Linus, in case you don't know what to call me." I hummed as I noticed the cliff we came across. I sighed.

"Well, Linus, can you get us on the other side?" His eyes widened and he looked at me then the space between us and the other side. There was no water below, only rocks sharper than knives.

"Your kidding, right?" I shook my head.

"This is the fastest way to my home, if we go through the pack of wolves it'll take longer, and not just because they would need to give us permission to pass." He chuckled nervously.

"We should take the longer route. Its convenient. We could maybe ask to use a bath! You know, and get our hygiene level where it should be."

"I don't feel like being questioned or being given permission by dogs."

"Sheesh, someone has too much pride."

"Call it what you want." I pushed him and he stumbled and screamed.

"Are you insane!!?" He all out yelled, I flickered my tongue out and could taste his fear and anxiety. I sighed.

"I thought you were a caster. How useless."  I said shaking my head in genuine disappointment before looking around.

"You freaking asshat!" He was still panting and I hissed at him. "I'll bloody show you useless!" I heard him mumble before arms wrapped around my waist. I looked down at them and then next thing I knew, my feet where off the ground.

He flew us across the large space and we crashed into the other side. I hissed as my head hit the tree trunk.

"Could you not be graceful? Or are you just still useless?" I asked him irritated. I sat up and turned surprised not to have received an answer.

He was unconscious and bleeding from his nose and ears. I blinked and straddled him. I slapped his cheeks lightly. Is he dead? I wondered because he even looked paler in comparison to earlier.

"Linus," I mumbled and slapped him around some more. "Wake up." I commanded. "We need to keep moving."

He stayed there, unconscious but breathing. His pulse was weak beneath my fingers but still strong enough, I sighed and shook my head. Unbelievable.

"Useless." I gathered him into my arms then and continued on our way. I glanced down at him, thankful the blood had stopped and was instead drying. Ridiculous. Caster, huh? Not at all what I thought.

As we walked I sensed water close by and headed for that direction. As I came across a river I put him down and and helped myself to a drink. I brought him close enough to splash water on his face. I was tempted to throw him into the lake instead. I slapped him again and he gasped.

"You are very heavy." I told him as he blinked and looked around. "Please don't fall asleep again." He looked at me confused.

"What?" He asked.

"You were unconscious, stupid caster." I shook my head and he rubbed his head and I could tell he was thinking hard. "There is water, drink, bath and be fast." I said and untied the loincloth around my privates. Linus caught sight of my cock and his eyes widened as his cheeks flushed. I tilted my head before going into the river and shifting completely. Swimming as a snake was much more fun to me than anything. Then again, snake form was my preferred form especially after spending 575 years in it does that to a person.

I caught fish in the process and swallowed them whole. I caught a few more for Linus to eat. I brought them to shore and Linus visible shivered at the sight of me as a snake. I shifted then and shook my hair out.

"Why would you go in there as a snake? Your human body probably isn't watered properly." He rambled and I smirked as he avoided looking at me. I went back into the water then and rubbed myself down which felt useless without soap.

He had eaten the fish raw which I was surprised by, but thankful since making a fire would have wasted time.

"Let us go." I said and put my loincloth back on. He nodded. His hair was wet and his cheeks and neck were red. He had on his furred loincloth and furred shirt.

We continued our travel and this time there was complete silence which had me glancing at Linus occasionally because it was weird for me somehow. He looked pale and kept stumbling.

"Are you alright?" I asked him while I continued walking.

"Yeah, of course, why wouldn't I be?" He said sarcastically.

"You sure?" I paused and looked at him,he was panting and leaning on the tree trunk.

"Would I lie?" He took a step and nearly fell before I caught him. I swallowed as his face was brought right up to mine. He blinked and gasped, his hand on my bicep. I noticed how his pale purple eyes were mixed with specks of darker purple which made them oddly enough, beautiful. Then his head nodded shaking his silver grey hair and he fell limp in my arms. I huffed annoyed.

"Great!" I said and took his hand before hoisting him up onto my shoulder. I continued the walk with him bouncing against me.

So inconvenient this caster is. So useless too.
