You wandered in the alleyway with Cameron who was satisfied with the information the two of you had gained.
"Now, do you have any preferences? For the meal, that is." Cameron asked, giving you a smirk.
"Not really, but... Not a smoker, maybe? Or an alcoholic." You improvised. Apparently, it was the right thing to say, because Cameron nodded and said 'same', before going further into the alley.
You were scarily good when it came to acting. You supposed (and were glad that) Haise was right about you.
Cameron stopped in front of you as he found his victim. He leaned back towards you and nodded towards the person.
"She smells good, doesn't she?" He said as you turned your eyes to the familiar bluette walking nonchalantly, back turned to you both.
You sniffed the air and nodded. "Yeah, she does. Wow." You gaped, nodding at Cameron, who activated his kakugan and walked towards Saiko while you stayed a bit behind. It'd be better this way, so you could disappear faster.
Cameron didn't even wait until Saiko turned around before he unleashed his kagune, giving you all the green signal. No fucking wonder he was named Spider, that dude's kagune was literally eight tarantula legs, holy shit. It gave you shivers.
Cameron kicked a rock towards the girl in front of him, causing her to nervously turn around, eyes widening at the sight of the huge kagune.
"Hi there." He smirked (you could literally hear it), waving at the poor girl.
"Hello to you too." A voice answered, but it certainly wasn't Saiko's.
Urie emerged from the darkness, quinque in hand. Cameron looked back to you, alarmed and you simply stared back, eyes wide with fear as he mouthed the words 'run'.
You decided to listen to him and skillfully climb the walls of the alley, settling down on the roof to observe in case they needed any help, although you doubted it. Haise was going to show up anytime, and the two of them could easily take on the S rated ghoul.
The only thing that didn't go according to plan was Spider's true strength. Urie was literally knocked out a minute into the fight, Mutsuki couldn't help because he was busy getting Saiko out of the mess and Shirazu... Aparently, he was ordered to stay by your side through this whole thing, in case anything happened to you.
It meant Haise was stuck all alone, fighting the ghoul.
You had assumed things wouldn't be so bad, considering he wasn't Kaneki Ken, but yet again, you were wrong.
"What the shit?!" Shirazu exclaimed when Haise launched forwards, ready to rip the ghoul in front of him to shreds.
You gaped at the scene before you. "He's legit loosing control." You said.
"Yeah, I fuckin see that!" The shark boy next to you said, eyeing the fight with fear. "What are we gonna do once he takes him down?"
"I don't know." You admitted, scared for your life. Urie, Mutsuki and Saiko were still down there... If Haise was really far into this, he might eat them... "Shirazu, call for back up. Call for Akira, Arima, I don't care. Just get more investigators here and say Haise has to be considered as an SS rate ghoul."
"Woah, bossy, aren't you?" The male muttered before fishing his phone out of his pocket and doing just what you told him to do. "What if they're too late?"
"Then I'll jump in." You said, watching closely. Spider was nearly dead now...
"Are you nuts?!" Shirazu yelled, causing you to shush him so he wouldn't draw attention to the two of you. "You can't take Sassan on like that! We barely trained with our kagunes!"
"Then you'll just have to break a few of my fingers!" You exclaimed back, sighing when he didn't understand what you meant. "I mean, pain triggers the kagune. Once it's out, I'll just stall Sasaki so he won't eat Tooru, Saiko and Kuki."
"I'm not letting you--"
"Haven't we gone over the whole 'they're my friends and I'm not going to let them be miserable if I can do something about it' thing already?" You asked sassily.
"Yeah, but that's selfless, (Y/N)! You'll get killed!" Ginshi argued.
"No, they won't." A feminine voice said, causing you both to look for the owner of the voice. "Move aside, I have a clear shot from here." The woman hauled up what looked like a sniper and you dragged Shirazu out of the way, assessing her physical traits. That was Akira alright.
"Akira Mado." She said, laying down and placing the sniper in place.
"(Y/N) (L/N)." You replied, watching down on where Haise was, apparently stabbing the poor ghoul to death.
"A pleasure." The woman said, before taking aim and firing, efficiently knocking Haise out.
"Damn." Shirazu muttered, making you smirk and lean up to whisper in his ear.
"Pretty hot, right?" You teased, cackling once his face turned red. Akira was the holy mother of the CCG alright.
You sighed and collapsed on the couch, yelling once you noticed the other quinx were all heading towards their rooms.
"Ah, ah! Not so fast!" You exclaimed, making them all (Urie included) stop. "We've got some shit to talk about, sit down."
"Er... What exactly?" Tooru asked before taking a seat next to you, obviously exhausted.
"Tonight, we nearly went through a protocol that I have no knowledge about and I'm hoping one of you can answer the question in case it happens again." You glanced at Urie before directing your attention back to Mutsuki.
The green haired male simply gave you a questioning look and you continued. "Haise. He went haywire."
"So..?" Saiko lazily said, curious.
"So, what if we didn't have time to call Akira like we did?" You said. "What if we were stuck to deal with it ourselves? What would have happened? We just kill him? We knock him out? We let him do what ever?"
"If someone in our squad gets out of control, we are to consider them an S rated ghoul and eliminate them." Urie stated monotonously. "In your and Sasaki's case, it would be an SS rate." He added, eyeing you with disdain.
"What, so if I go crazy, you guys'll have to kill me?" Shirazu said incredulously.
"I don't think I'd be able to do that..." Saiko muttered.
"Me neither." Tooru admitted while you nodded.
"If one of you gets out of control, I swear I will not hesitate to kill you." Urie said, making you groan.
"Ah, yes, I can feel the team spirit." You sarcastically said. "But really, I don't think I'd be able to kill any of you."
"Me neither." Shirazu said. "I rather die than have to kill you."
You, Tooru and Saiko nodded while Urie simply rolled his eyes.
"I swear I'll never get out of control." You bravely stated, placing a hand on where your heart should be. "It's a promise that I intend to keep."
"I swear too!" Saiko said, copying your movements.
"I swear I won't get out of hand." Mutsuki joined in.
"I swear!" Shirazu exclaimed, sloppily copying your gesture.
"And this is where I leave." Urie got up and left the three of you all alone without promising.
"He's so mean." You pouted. "All I want is to get on his good side, damn it."
"I'm sure he cares, somewhere deep down." Saiko yawned, getting up. "Goodnight, I'm gonna go sleep for two weeks."
"Not while I'm around." You said, smirking. Yonebayashi simply flipped you off and stuck her tongue out at you.
Tooru soon followed after Saiko.
"So, when are you going to go to bed?" You asked. "Want me to join you?"
You giggled when Shirazu turned red again. That was 2 points for you and zero for him today.
"No, I'll be good, thanks for asking." The male managed to say without stuttering. "I uh... I just wanted to ask you when you were planning to confront him about it."
"Confront who about what?" You questioned.
"Urie. And about why he's being such a little bitch around you." Ginshi clarified, making you feel determination flow through your veins.
You got up, earning a confused glance from your good friend.
"Actually, I'll go right now."
"A-ah, bad idea!" He exclaimed, getting up as well. "Sassan's not here! If he gets violent, you're fucked!"
"Don't care." You said, heading for the stairs.
"His bitchiness is stopping tonight."
