Kaycee was awake the whole time. She was just dozing off when felt Sean's kiss on her forehead. Her entire body shivered and her heart started to beat so fast that she thought she was going to have a heart attack, but she couldn't make any movement, since he thought she was already sleeping.
When the girl noticed that he fell asleep, she opened her eyes again and looked at him. Damn, he was really good-looking.
"Kaycee? What the hell it's going with you?? It's Sean, your best friend. Drooling and snoring with his mouth open."
She closed her eyes and tried to sleep. They needed to wake up very early the next day, and Kaycee wasn't a morning person at all.
Suddenly, the front door opened and a woman entered the house. Sean's parents arrived.
- Shhhhhhh Cheuk, they are sleeping here! - Miya, Sean's mother, said to his dad.
- They? They who? - Cheuk entered the house too, looking quite confused.
- Sean and Kaycee. Sean texted me that Kaycee was going to stay the night here since her parents are out for this night.
- Okay, cool - they started to go upstairs - They could date, huh?- Cheuk was saying to Miya - She is polite, beautiful, smart and pratically part of our family.
Kaycee blushed automatically but she didn't move a milimeter of her body. It would be horrible if they found out that she was awake listening to their conversation.
- I have already told Sean the exactly same thing a million of times! - The voices were getting lower as they went upstairs. Kaycee wanted to listen so much what Miya was saying, and she didn't know even why - He always get pissed of with me saying that this was going to ruin their friendship.
She caught herself wondering if it was really going to ruin all of what they have. How could he be 100% sure about this? She was starring at the ceiling. Kaycee stopped for a minute.
"Wait. why am I in doubt about dating Sean Lew? Of couse that was really going to ruin our friendship. We are like brother and sister, grewing up together since day 1. Why am I really thinking about this? What is wrong with me???"
When she heard Sean's parents door closing, she took her phone and texted a message:

She checked the time. 12:42 am. Shit, she was going to have a lot of struggles to wake up the next day.
Hi Kaycee, almost sleeping. It's everything okay?

Kaycee turned her phone off and closed her eyes, feeling so relieved that she could count with her best friend for anything, anytime. After a minute, she fell asleep.

Kaycee opened her eyes fastly. She looked to her side, and Sean wasn't there. It was raining, and she could hear the thunders outside.
- Sean? - she called for him, quite scared.
Suddenly, Kaycee turned and Sean was sit next to her, on the sofa.
- Where were you? - she asked - You scared me. Are you okay?
He didn't answer her. She nudge him, but he don't even moved.
- You two don't talk anymore. - she recognized the voice. Julian.
- Jules, what are you doing here? - she was so confused and her head was hurting so much that she couldn't even see straight.
- That is what happened when you date and broke up with your best friend, Kaycee. - said another voice. It was Bailey. - and now all of our group teared apart.
- Wait. what??? but... - she tried to say something, but she was speechless.
- You two destroyed not only your friendship, but all ours - Josh came out of blue - You were too friends to date, you couldn't make that work.
- One will end up hurting the other - the 3 of them said in unison - Soon or later.

She woke up in a jump.
- Kayc? Are you okay??? It is 3:32am - Sean was in front of her, holding the girl's shoulder - You were talking nonsense things while you were sleeping.
- Thank God. - she hugged him - It was just a nightmare, Sean. I am so sorry.
- Do you want to tell me how was it? Sometimes this can help and...
- NO. - the girl automatically said, interrupting him - Sorry again for waking you up, Sean. Let's try to sleep again - Kaycee said, laying on the sofa.
- O-okay - said the boy confused, laying down next to her.
After one minute, she started to talk again.
- Sean? - the girl was looking to the ceiling.
- Yes?
- Can you promise me something?
- What?
- No matter what happens, above any circumstance or situation, we are going to be friends forever. Can you promise this to me?
- Don't be such an idiot, Kaycee. Of course we are going to be friends forever - he said with a sleepy voice. - Now get back to sleep.
- Sean Charles Lew. I am serious. I really need you to promise this to me.
- Why this have to be right now, Rice? - he stood up and raised his little finger from his hand to her - I, Sean, swear to Kaycee that no matter circumstances or situations, we are going to be friends forever.
- Best friends - she complemented, raising her little finger too.
- Best friends - he repeated.
They intertwined their little fingers, making the most sacred oath of all the times: The pinky swear.
- Can I go back to sleep right now? - he said.
Without saying anything, she hugged him.
- Well, I am going to consider this as a yes - he said, wrapping his arms around her even more.
And they slept like this.
