Both Daisy and Timothée agreed to meet up early before the movie started so they could talk about Daisy's issue. There was still another hour till the movie started and the two were able to find a bench in the park where there weren't too many people around. 'It's nice out isn't it, I mean the weather isn't too bad?' Timothée says, letting out a cough right afterwards.
Daisy rolls her eyes. 'No need for small talk Timmy, I think we've hung out quite a few times to be past that stage.' Timothée chuckles as he nods his head in agreement with her. He realized she was right, and that he should just get straight to the point. 'About what you said this morning, what did you mean?'
Daisy takes a moment to collect her thoughts and Timothée watches her with amusement on his face. Sometimes she was an open book, easy to read, and he could easily tell what she was thinking, but other times she thought with such complexity that it was hard to even imagine what was going through her mind. He let her take her time and listened intently as she began to speak.
'To tell you the truth, I don't know what I was talking about because I don't really know what came over me. Usually I'm a wreck, I cry and I sob and I feel like it's the end of the world every time Harvey relapses or every time he disappoints our family. But last night I was expecting to feel something, some sort of pain or heartache but I felt nothing at all. Just numbness and no pain at all and it just terrified me.' Although she admits she hadn't felt any pain last night the pain in her features were very distinct and she seemed frustrated with herself.
Timothée looked away, taking a moment to think over his response. He didn't want to say the wrong thing. This was too serious to mess up with his stupid words. And he wanted to be there for her with this. She seemed to be in a battle with herself and he wanted it to end.
'So you're saying you felt numb last night? Like it didn't really matter what happened, that you didn't care?' He asks calmly.
Daisy feels her head nodding without her permission. With him she's always telling the truth, wanting him to know every part of her, every secret and she couldn't explain why. He had this hold over her, but it sucked that he didn't even know how much control he had over her actions.
'I think it's because it's become a routine for you. It's like instead of hoping for the best you expect him to behave like this so when he lashes out you don't really care, because you aren't really surprised.' Timothée looks at her, concern in his features. Daisy gives him a smile to reassure him she's okay.
'Yeah, that's what I thought too but I don't want to feel this way. I don't want to feel numb every time something bad happens I want to feel something.' Timothée can't help himself. He feels himself reaching for her hand and surprisingly she lets him take it.
He squeezes her hand in his own and grins at her slightly. 'You won't feel numb anymore, I'll make sure of it okay? The most human thing is emotions and if you don't feel emotions then what are you?'
'David, Nic's dad the one I played in my new movie told me that at some point he felt numb too. After all the pain he was feeling as he watched his son destroy himself he just stopped wanting to feel anymore. But that's only because he didn't want to feel it, but you do. And you have me. And I'll help you, even if it means I have to go to great lengths to do it.'
Daisy is left speechless as she listens to the words that come out of his mouth and as she stares at the sight of their hands grasping each other. The two had grown close but it was a shock that he expressed so much care for her. That he says he'll go to great lengths for her. No one had ever told her that, not once and the thought of him caring for her gave her butterflies.
Daisy nodded and she said the only thing she could say. 'Thank you Timothée. I don't know what I'd be doing right now without you.'

First of all...
That scene with your dad was the most authentic scene ever in literally the entire movie.
The way you confronted him after he left you all alone with your ill mother to fend for yourself.
It was so genuine.
And you didn't get mad at him or forgive him. You were in between and that was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TRUE.
My friend who's dad also walked out on him said that scene hit him so hard.
Because when he finally got to see his dad
There wasn't any anger or any forgiveness to give
There was just emotions
A lot of them.
And he just wanted his dad to know how much it hurt and how much it still hurts
