I have some great news, but I know you went to sleep early because you have work early tomorrow so I'm not gonna bother you now! I'll call you tomorrow as soon as you get off work! Love you, babe! - Lisa wrote to her girlfriend right after her phone call with Chaeyoung. Soon afterwards she went back to her studying, full of energy and ready to ace the test.
Tomorrow is a big day. Lisa mused while she was reading.

Okay... This is easy... I know this... I studied THIS. I definitely REMEMBER this.... Hey, isn't that from that one chapter about the thing from the other thing... Okay, I just have to concentrate and do one question at a time.
Lisa was skimming through the whole exam before she started to write anything. She went through all the pages of the exam, looking for any question that might seem like something she hadn't studied, but in the end she concluded that everything was more or less fine.
Let's do this, y'all! She exclaimed in her mind with a Southern American accent, making herself internally giggle.
After about an hour, she finished the exam with time to spare. She handed in her exam and went out of the classroom, but before that she asked her professor:
"Do you know when we will have our results?"
"Oh, probably this afternoon."
"Yeah, that quick?" Lisa whispered, so she wouldn't bother the rest of the people who were still writing the exam.
"Yeaaaahh! There's like 12 of you. I mean, I will have to have a double shot of espresso, but I think I will manage." The professor responded, slightly chuckling at the end of that sentence.
Lisa smiled, thanked him and went out of the classroom. She called Chaeyoung to arrange for them to meet at a coffee shop so they could discuss about the concert and so that Lisa could get her plane ticket. Chaeyoung wasn't answering, so Lisa figured out that she was probably doing something. Usually Lisa texts people because she knows that people are busy, but Chaeyoung has told her that she prefers when someone calls her since sometimes she forgets to look at her text messages.
Lisa decided that she will go around town and do a little photography before she meets up with Chaeyoung. It was still 10 in the morning, the city was already buzzing with people, but she wanted to explore. She has explored Bangkok quite a few times, but she was always ready to find another street corner she hasn't photographed from 10 different angles.
Her phone vibrated, and she saw that Jisoo texted her back.
Hey! I read your text this morning but I was in a hurry so I couldn't respond. - Lisa smiled at that part of the text. That morning she saw that Jisoo had read her text but didn't respond, and she was now happy that it was just a busy morning for her. She continued reading:
Anyway, I have a 10 minute break now, so you can call me if you want. - Lisa picked up her phone and dialed Jisoo's number.
"Heeey babe! I miss you!" Lisa said with a higher pitch than usual, chuckling at the end.
"Heey, what's up?" Jisoo smiled. "What's the big news?"
"Oh, so, you know how I said I was going to go to Korea if I pass my exam?"
"Yeah?" Jisoo asked sort of confused.
"Yeah, well, I changed my mind!"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, yesterday, I figured, if I want to get the ticket, I would have to buy it on time. And since I've already bought the ticket, I thought - why stop there?"
"Wait? You got the ticket?" Jisoo was surprised.
"Yeah, I did, I did!" Lisa started jumping up and down while walking down the street, because it hit her again that she was actually going to a Jennie Kim concert.
"Oh my, Lisa... I'm so happy for you!" Jisoo exclaimed, and Lisa actually heard a tone of happiness in her voice for the first time in a semi-long time.
"Thank youuu! I can't wait!"
"Oh my... That's really great Lisa! So... how are you going to get there?" Jisoo asked concerned, since she knew it wasn't going to be cheap.
"Chaeyoung!"
"Chaeyoung....?"
"I... asked for a favor, she knew a guy.... and well, I will meet up with her soon to buy the plane ticket from her"
"That's great! Oh my, say "hi" to her when you see her."
"I will babe... Also, when are we going to see each other? We haven't seen each other for a couple of days now. I know you have been busy, but, you know, Lisa needs some loooove." Lisa said that word with a bit more emphasis, and she also giggled.
"I know Lisa, but you have also been busy."
"Yeah, studying!" Lisa laughed. "But I am always ready to have a small break if that means that I can see your face."
"Okay, fine! I don't think I'll be able to see you today. Yeah, the people from the office already made plans for us to hang out after work, and since I'm still "technically the new one...""
"Even though you've been there for a couple of months." Lisa muttered a bit annoyed.
"EVEN THOUGH I've been there for a couple of months!" Jisoo growled and then continued "I still want to be accepted there. This is a great job for me and I don't want to be an outcast."
"Fine." Lisa didn't want to argue.
"What do you mean "fine"? Don't you like the fact that I'm happy and that I have great co-workers?"
"No, I didn't say-"
"Don't you like my new co-workers? Aish, Lisa!"
"I didn't say that!"
"I know what your "fine" means."
"Okay, I'm sorry, you're right." Lisa said apologetically. She didn't want to argue with Jisoo, because again, she would rather have this kind of Jisoo than no Jisoo at all. That was everything Lisa had been repeating to herself. She knew that that implied that she had low self-esteem, and she thought that no one else would love her like Jisoo. And she also thought that this was just Jisoo's phase and that they both would grow into each other again soon enough. She just had to be patient and love her girlfriend.
"Okay" Jisoo continued. "So... see you tomorrow then? You can come to my place!"
"Why don't you come over to my place?"
"You know why... I really have to take care of my dog."
"Well, you can always bring her with you."
"No! She won't like it there!"
"But babe, you haven't even tri-"
"Lisa!"
"Okay, I'll come over." Lisa said defeated. There was a couple of seconds of silence and then Jisoo continued:
"Hey Lisa... Where are you going to stay in Seoul? And for how long anyway?" Lisa stood shook because she didn't even think about that part of the plan. She was way too excited about the concert and she totally forgot about everything else involving the whole trip.
"Helloooo? Lisaaa?"
"I'm here, I just..."
"You haven't thought about it, right?"
"Yeah... I guess I was a bit excited..."
"So... what do you think where you'll sleep?"
"I'm hoping Chaeyoung will help. Otherwise... I really have no clue for now."
"Aish, Lisa... Chaeyoung better really help you find something. You really are lost sometimes."
"I know, it's just..."
"Okay Lisa, I have to go now, talk to you later! Bye!"
"I love yo-" Lisa said but Jisoo hung up. Lisa sighed. She felt a bit defeated, but she knew it would pass. Or at least she hoped it would.
A couple of moments later, Lisa's phone vibrated again, this time it was Chaeyoung calling.
"Hey Lisa! Sup?"
"Heeey Chaeng! I just called to see when you're free for that cup of coffee we talked about."
"Can you get to the Kaizen Coffee shop? I'm already here, and I really don't feel like walking anywhere else."
"Sure, I'll be there as soon as possible."
"'Kay Lisa, see ya soooon!" Chaeyoung crooned the word "soon" and that made Lisa chuckle.

"Chaeng-Chaeng!"
"Lis-Lis!"
"Come here and give me a hug!"
"Oh you!" They sat down and started to discuss the whole plan.
"So you thought I was going to leave you alone in Seoul? Oh Lisa, you silly woman! Look, I knew you haven't thought this through so I arranged everything for the two of us. We'll be staying at a hotel, and we'll be back by the end of the 26th."
"That's Monday! That's great! Chaeng, I owe you my-"
"Yeah, yeah, you owe me your life, I get it." They both laughed.
"For starters, you can 'owe' me this coffee." They laughed again.
Hours have passed, and Lisa and Chaeyoung were exhausted after a long conversation about everything and anything - they discussed Chaeyoung's job, family situation, love life, Lisa's exams, Lisa's dreams when it came to photography, the current situation in Thailand, their newest discoveries when it came to movies, books, music... They haven't had a chance to discuss a lot of these things in full depth since they were both busy, but now they wanted to fully take advantage of the situation and just talk.
"Yes!" Lisa exclaimed proudly while looking at her phone.
"What, what is it?"
"My professor told me he would e-mail us the results of our exams this afternoon and he really wasn't kidding."
"It's only 2pm, he works fast."
"Yeah, and I passed the exam!"
"Aw yeah! Put it here!" Chaeyoung exclaimed while offering a high five to Lisa. Lisa high fived her back and enjoyed the moment. She passed the exam, she felt really accomplished and she was going to see Jennie Kim without any worries. Well, at least when it comes to her college life, that is.
"Wanna go get something to eat? My treat!" Lisa offered happily.
"Food? Yes ma'am!"
They went to a local street food vendor and ate in peace. After that they both went their separate ways, Lisa thanking Chaeyoung for the 100th time for everything.
As soon as Lisa got home she turned on her laptop and put on some music. A YouTube playlist will do just fine, she thought. She sat on the floor browsing through her Instagram feed, and she stopped when she saw her face. It was a video uploaded on Jennie's Instagram profile, it was about thirty seconds long. Lisa turned the audio on and stopped her YouTube playlist so she could hear what Jennie had to say.
"Hey Chan, can we play a song from your band? I know you're all now on a little break, but I really like your songs and I wanted to play one?"
"Sure, what did you have in mind?" Chanyeol replied gleefully.
"Love Me Right?"
"Sing it for me, Jennie!" Chanyeol half-yelled jokingly while playing the chords from the chorus of the song.

Just love me right aha nae ujuneun jeonbu neoyaaa" - Jennie leaned to her side while singing that last line, clearly enjoying the song and the way she sang it. Then she turned to Chanyeol and simply said:
"Yeah, I think we've got it."
"I think so, too!" They both laughed and so did Lisa, and that's where the video ended.
What a dork. Oh my God, I love her, she's so awkward, yet so relatable, I can't even... Lisa thought to herself.
If Jisoo knew what I was thinking right now, she would kill me. I don't LOVE Jennie. I just really support her and I think she's funny and quirky. Okay, so it's a girlcrush, nothing out of the ordinary. I mean, I wouldn't mind spending some alone time with her, but come on! That's just a stupid fantasy, nothing more, nothing less.
She texted Jisoo that Chaeyoung saved her again.
You'll tell me all about it tomorrow, I can't talk now. Jisoo wrote back.
Lisa opened her Instagram feed once again and thought to herself:
I have to watch this video again! Lisa smiled while lying on the floor.
