***Maes POV
"MaeMae wake up," Aunt Cathrine coos as she shakes my shoulder gently.
I open my eyes and look up at my alarm clock, "Aunt Cathrine it's 7 in the morning."
"And you have school. Don't mean to be insensitive sending you there right away but I can't just have Cat babysit you all day. She has to rest her liver," she said starting to walk out, "Breakfast is on the table."
I moan and sit up out of bed. School. Jeez I almost forgot.
I get up and stretch my arms to the ceiling. Time to go to a new school with new people and new problems. Agh.
Peeling off my pj's, I grab my black skinny jeans, a Sleeping With Sirens band tee, and a pair of ankle length, fuzzy white boots. It's cold and wet out why risk ruining my converse?
I grab my bag off the floor and hear Aunt Cathrine yell up the stairs, "I'm leaving for work. Carlos is dropping me off so you can take Joe to school in my car. See you later!"
"Bye Aunt Cathrine!" I yell running downstairs.
I take a look at the table and grab an apple. Not that hungry. Sick feeling actually. Probably just nerves.
"Joe are you ready yet?" I yell.
He answers, "yep lets go!"
I grab the keys and drive up to the school building much, MUCH smaller than mind but maybe change is...good?
I grab my bag and notice something falls out. I bend over to pick it up and realize its a small white envelope. Oh Becca. I open it and find the large amount of cash she offered me ont he plane. She must of slipped it in my bag. I sigh and stuff it in between my books.
Walking slowly through the door I creep into the open space near some tables and teh schools office. Great now I know where that is for future reference. I walk up to the office door and peer inside where a woman sits at her desk looking old and annoyed as ever.
"Can I HELP you miss?" she asks irritated.
I say, "uh...I'm Mae Warren the new senior from Wyoming."
"OH how was your summer?" she asks.
"Uh..okay. What about you?"
She replies, "wonderful," she looks les than ecstatic.
"I uh am looking for my first class...CPR? Wisconsin has a CPR class?" i say.
She looks at me like I'm dumb, "Circle Power of Respect. It's a class to start everyones day with an activity and a greeting. It's room 205 down the hall to your left."
"Thanks," I mutter leaving the office.
Walking down the hallway I feel so out of ordinary. Everyone wears jeans and too tight tee shirts. I'm the weirdo looking for CPR wearing skinny jeans and an over sized band tee. This should be fun.
***Cats POV
I insert a small piece of bacon in my mouth and smile with satisfaction.
"I can't remember the last time I ate bacon," I say stuffing the rest in my mouth.
Andy said, "yeah well it's time to start gaining some weight."
"Yeah I guess," i say looking at my hands.
He sips his milk then says, "which reminds me! I got you something."
Andy kisses me on the cheek and leaves to his bunk then returns with a small black book.
"Here's your new journal," he says handing it to me.
I read the cover aloud, "wreak this journal."
"Yeah I figured instead of focusing on losing weight you can wreak that journal. Basically every day you do something different. Like chew it, leave it in the rain. Stuff like that," he said using hand gestures.
I say,"that's really thoughtful of you Andy. Thank you."
"You're most certainly welcome my love," he said smiling and bending over to kiss me.
Mia starts crying and I look at Ash who's laying face down in a pillow and groans with annoyance.
"I got it Ash," i said as he gives me a small thumbs up.
I carefully grab Mia and take her tot he back room to change her diaper.
I don't know how Ashley is ever going to learn responsibliliy when he doesn't even watch his daughter. For the most part it's me, Andy and Sammi doing the work while he makes excuses or shys his way out of it. I clip her little pink leotard and pick her up into the living room.
"Agh why won't she stop crying?" Ashley says angry.
I reply, "I think she's hungry."
"Feeeeed her woman," Andy say cupping his ears to escape the crying baby.
"NUH UH. No way in hell I'm breast feeding your daughter," i protest bouncing Mia up and down.
"PLEASE CAT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE," CC yells from his bunk.
I reply, "oh my god FINE."
***Claires POV
I crumple up the note and chuck it at the door.
"BASTARD!" I yell angrily.
How can he just leave without saying goodbye or where he went?
OF course he leaves his cell phone here. Aghh what kind of boyfriend leaves in the middle of the night with no warning? I wipe my nose with my sleeve and search for my cell phone. Crawling on the ground I find it under the chair and dial up Ashley's number.
"Hello?" he answers, "Claire?"
"Can I come see Mia?" I ask crying.
He replies, "Of course..you don't even have to ask Claire."
I nod even though he can't see me.
"Thanks," I said as I hung up.
Then throwing my hair in a pony tail and grabbing my keys I snatch the note from the ground and stuff it in my pocket.
Quickly I pull up to moms house and knock on the tour bus wiping my eyes once more for good measure.
"Hey Claire," Ashley said opening the door.
I walk in avoiding eye contact with him and ask, "where's Mia?"
"Cats feeding her," Andy said pointing to the bathroom not looking up from his phone.
I raise my eyebrow in suspicion.
"Yeah..." Ashley said looking directly at me.
That drummer guy from their band walks in. What's his name again? CJ? Maybe. SOME shit like that.
"morrrnninggg CC!" Jake yells tackling the drummer to the ground.
He pushes him off, "FUCKER! I didn't get ANY GOD DAMN sleep with that gorgeous little child crying all night! Get the hell off of me!"
"Woah quit your PMSing dude," Jake said raising his hands in defeat.
"Hey Cat!" Jake said.
I turn to see Cat walking in cradling Mia in her arms and playing with her small little hands.
"Shh Jake you'll scare her. I just got her tos top crying," she said using her baby voice, "Hey Claire...uh where's SKy"
"You tell me," I say as I toss the note to Andy who reads it aloud.
He said, "Claire: be back in a few days, I have something to take care of. Don't worry about me. I love you-SKy."
Andy looks at Cat and they instantly exchange a glance.
"What? Am I missing something here?" I ask.
Cat replies, "Claire I think he's in Florida."
"W-Why?" I ask.
"Maybe something to do with Christopher or his parents?" she said in a half question.
I tear up and look down, "I just hope he's okay."
Ash comes over and sits by me on the couch thing.
"Wanna hold Mia?" Cat asked.
I nod, "can I?"
Ashley said, "of course."
Ash grabs Mia from Cat and carefully carries her over to me.
"Here..Just be careful," he said lightly placing her in my arms.
I fidget her around a little, "she's adorable. I wish Sky was here."
Mia starts turning around and eventually starts bawling her eyes out, "Uh..uh guys help."
"Oh jeez Claire," Andy said grabbing her from me then rubbing her head softly as he kisses her forehead.
Andy's better with my daughter more than I am.
Mia instantly stops crying and I say, "I don't think she likes me."
Ashley protests, "No no. She's just not used to you yet. She's barely used to me."
"Because you don't even change a single one of her diapers!" Cat said laughing.
"FINE you watch! I got the next one dammit!" Ash said back and everyone laughs.
