Arion was helping RWBY to prepare the decorations in the ballroom. Weiss came then up to an upsat Ruby who sat frustrated and her head rested on a table. Weiss came than up with 2 tableclothes and and slams her before her face.
Weiss: I need you to pick a tablecloth.
Ruby: Aren't they both the same?
Weiss: I don't even know why I asked.
Yang comes than carrying a giant speaker and slamed it on the ground.
Yang: So, have you picked out a dress yet?
Ruby: What's the point? Who cares about the dance if Blake isn't going?
Yang: Oh, don't worry. She's going. And I don't want then be to late for the date with Arion. Weiss! I thought we agreed! No doilies!
Weiss: If I don't get doilies, you don't get fog machines.
The door then opened and Sun and Neptune came in
Neptune: Youre dance is gonna have fog machines?
Weiss: We were thinking about it .
Neptune: That's pretty cool.
Sun: You ladies all excited for dress up?
Ruby: Pfft, yeah right.
Yang: Laugh all you want. I'll be turning heads tomorrow night. Except for one.
Weiss: What are you two wearing?

Yang: Yeah, we've noticed.

Yang: Guys. Trust me. Blake will be at the dance tomorrow. See you later than sweety.
She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and left. Arion couldn't help but blushing.
Arion: Uhm... I-I still have something to discuss with JNPR, so later.
Then he ran away so fast as he could to his room to calm down.
Later on the late evening Arion was outside the academy with Yang, drinking soda and discussing informations each other.
Yang: So. You lived in the woods with your people and looked around. Must be boring.
Arion: Not when you have some Grimm to hunt.
Yang: Yes, that's true. Did you had someone special?
Arion: Only one time, but she died from an illness. We had no clue what it was.
Yang: Oh sorry.
Arion: Don't be. It's had been long time ago. You know, the date was great. Maybe we should that more often.
Yang: Yes, that would be fun. So I must go. See you tomorrow at the dance.
Arion: Ah yeah. Until tomorrow.
He wanted go to his dorm when he saw Jaune the head down. Oh no. What is it this time? I can't ignore that anymore.
Arion: Jaune? What's wrong.
Jaune: Nothing.
Arion: Don't play dump with me. It's Weiss again, right?
Jaune: *Sigh*She asked Neptune to the dance.
Arion: That's the problem?! You know you could ask another girl with you. What's with Pyrrrha?
Jaune: What Pyrrha?! No, I mean she's famous, friendly, strong and my friend and comrade.
Arion: Maybe she's waiting for the question, because the guys think they have no chance on her. Do you even know her sad face when you look away from her? Maybe she wants you all the time being her dancepartner, but you give her no chance.
Jaune: I never thought abou that. Just let me think. Bye.
Arion: Farewell.
At the evening of the dance
Arion came with a smoking with red lines and a red tie with Ruby in a red dress.
Yang: Oh, you look beautiful! And you are even more handsome!
Arion: Come on. It isn't so bad.
Ruby: Ugh! Can we have a serious talk about how Weiss fights in these? Whoa.
Arion: Careful. Yang this isn't funny to laugh. Ok miss Xiao Long, may I have this dance?
Yang: *giggling* With pleasure.
They danced a waltz (like that in the winter palace) until Blake came and Yang gave space to Sun that he could dance with Blake. When the four friends saw her having fun.
Yang: I told you she would come.
Weiss: Mission accomplished.
Ruby: So... what do we do now?
Yang: Just have fun!
Arion: Hey, when you have some time I would like to talk with you. Alone.
Yang: Y-yeah. Okay later then forest boy.
Arion: *sigh* I hate that nickname. Whatever, sound better then knife ear.
Ruby: Does that mean I can change out of these stupid things and into my hood now? Stupid lady stilts.
Arion: Stop tó act like a child. Enjoy.
Ozpin: He is right or are you not enjoying yourself?
Ruby: Oh! No. Everything's fine. I'm just not much of a dansey, pansey... dancy girl.
She and Cassandra would have the right dance topic. No liking into dances.
Ozpin: Well, you can't spend your entire life on the battlefield. Even if you may want to.
Ruby: Yeah, that lesson's been floating around a lot lately.
Ozpin: If you think about it, fighting and dancing aren't so different. Two partners interlocked. Heh. Although, one wrong move on the ballroom merely leads to a swollen foot.
Ruby: Or a twisted ankle...
Ozpin: It's not everyday that friends are able to come togheter like this
Arion looked down and thought sadly about his friends and family in Thedas he could never see again.
Ozoin: Time has a way to testing our bonds. But it's nights like these can help keep them stronger then ever. Nights like these are ones we'll never forget.
Arion smiled slightly I never thought that shem has so much of wisdom. He than heard the door opening and his eyes went wide shortly before they became stoick. Why am I not surprised?
Yang: You guys are just in time.
Mercury: Wouldn't miss it for the world.
Arion was on the balcony and looked from up there down the dancing flour, till Yang showed up.
Yang: So what do you want to talk with me?
Arion: I've noticed.
Yang: What noticed?
Arion: Your flirts on me. You do that everytime when we meet each other. Do you mean it serious?
Yang: I-I. *sigh* Yes. Look I saw you beneath every time lonely sitting and read and sometime you talk with a few people. First I wanted you as a friend, but then I wanted more than friendship if you understand what I mean. But if you don't wa- mmpf.
She couldn't speak more when suddenly Arion kissed her on the lips. After a short while he let go.
Arion: I'm sorry. Ar lath ma, vhenan.
Yang: What means that?
Arion: It means ,,I love you, my heart.'' I did a while ago but hadn't the courage to tell that to you.
Yang couldn't help but blushing but the moment was ruined when Ruby came and they teard apart quickly.
Yang: Y'know, I think we really needed this. Watching down, seeing the others dancing, even Penny.
Ruby: Yeah. And you did a great job planning it, too.
Yang: Awww, thanks! It wasn't all me though. Weiss did a lot too.
Arion: Uhm, Yang? You're going to choke your sister.
They then saw Neptune walking to Weiss and they were talking.
Arion: I thought he didn't wanted go.
Yang: *sigh* Tomorrow it's back to work.
Ruby: Well, I'm sure we can handle whatever gets thrown at us. Except for that.
Just then everyone suddenly started laughing and they saw Jaune in a.... DRESS?! Wait. Is he SERIOUS?! Creators, the shems are getting weirder every day. I'm glad he asked Pyrrha, but not in that way! After he thought that they were already dancing.
Much later he saw Cinder in a black dress, coming up to him.
Cinder: I hope you have no problem to have a dance with me?
Arion: No, but I wonder why you come just now and not sooner. Took her hand
Cinder: I wasn't feeling well for a while, but now it's fine. And what faunus are you? I haven't heard of a faunus with pointy ears.
Arion: Good question. Why don't you read books? Maybe you will then find out.
Cinder: Maybe, but I want hear it from you.
Arion: Forget now about me. Tell me about you. Why are you really here?
Cinder: Just like I said at the beginning, for the tournament. That's all.
Arion looked at her then sighed.
Arion: Okay, well have a nice night my dear.
He left and went to Yang to get a dance again. Cinder smiled evily and went to Emerald and Mercury. She tipped Emerald on the back.
Cinder: Oh, may I cut in?
Emerald: Of course.
Mercury: And how's your night been?
Cinder: Hmm, a little more... exciting then expected.
Mercury: And the dance with the elf?
Cinder: Interesting. Plays with me good. Showing no weakness.
Mercury: Should we be worried?
Cinder: Hardly. They'll be scratching their heads long afte we've finished what we came here for.
Mercury: So then, what now?
Cinder: Enjoy the rest of the night. After all,... it is a party. Just wait Arion. Until I get you, you will nothing more than a puppet for my mistress. Your power is a waste for Ozpin.
On a monitore appeard a black chess piece of the queen.
