Violet, the main rapper of NCT ROSE and May, one of the main vocals, were granted another chance to shine almost a month after NCT ROSE's debut, this time as part of NCT U.
The track titled Yestoday, was a b-side song on the NCT Empathy album. Only May's voice was featured on the track alongside Taeyong, Doyoung, Lucas and Mark. Violet was added into the extended version of the song, a bonus track of the album.
The music video for the extended version was later released on April 1.
