The wonted silver colour of the smoke,
falling victim to the contrast of the pitch, star-possessing sky.
It softly smoulders from the tip of the blazing cigarette — like a bowling ball hitting it's pins — as a translucent cloud erupted in all of it's foggy glory.
Strings of weaving, loping, waving threads stinging the now-contaminated midnight air and out of the window.
Like a tattooist's needle to skin; a smoky breath from dry lips to crispy air — creating a masterpiece.
A cloud not created by the sky; but painted by chapped lips and blown out breath,
although it was not a cloudy, sunny-day,
but the dead ebony of night.
Sticky lungs, toking out their very own destruction;
white and beautiful with each blown exhale of woven-air fabrics.
Crisped, darkened ashes from miniature doll-like conflagrations,
slipping off into diminutive pieces of burnt, poisonous toxins,
and cigarette town-paper specks of the burning city,
now shredded into an untamed-inferno inside of the cancer stick.
It burns just like his love,
and with each of my choked inhales of his angry exhales,
his wrath contaminates me too.
