After running back stage and hugging Mia, my best friend who was squealing about how lucky I was to meet JK, mum, and dad, I told them that I would just be roaming around the campus while they go back to our hotel which Is just a block away from The Voice Kids centre.
And so that's why I'm here taking so many photos of random things at one of the corridors of TVK. I frown as I realize I have no idea where I am right now. I look for any doors or windows or signs that might help me, but it's useless. Just as I'm about to start screaming for help, I hear a voice behind me. "Got lost?" I turn around to meet Juan Karlos himself, his hands stuffed inside of his jean pockets. "No. Yes. Maybe. Sorta. Kinda. A little." Way to go for first impressions, Amber! He just chuckles and approaches me. "Yeah, it took awhile for me to get used to this place." He takes my arm, but by reflex I pull it from him and instantly regret it. "Easy, tiger. I'm just going to show you the way out of here. Don't want you to run into the managers office, now do you?" Aww he cares! I let him drag me through halls and doors until we finally reach the exit. "So, where are you staying?" "At Marriott about a block from here." "Okay, c'mon. I'll walk you." "Oh no no no no! It's fine! I can manage." I say hurriedly. "I know you can." He winks at me before opening the door. "After you princessa." He says, smirking. Butterflies erupt in my stomach when our shoulders touch for just a split second before stepping out to the warm air.
We walk side by side down the sidewalk as I ask questions about how his episode of TVK was, and he would always answer all of them patiently no matter how annoying I started to sound. I actually became disappointed when it was time for us to part ways. "I'll see you soon, I guess" I bite my lip as we say goodbye. "See you princessa." He winks at me before turning around and heading back to the head-quarters of TVK. Words can't express how happy I'm feeling right now, and numbers can't count how many butterflies are in my stomach.
