HIKARI'S POV
I was greeted by Karin's yelling this morning.. AGAIN..it's been happening quite a lot lately..
wanna know why?
Let's just say I woke up AGAIN next to Sasuke in a very weird position.
What was happening to me?! It feels so normal and right though.
"Let's rest for a bit." Sui complained and I plopped myself on a nearby rock.
"I want some action... it's been a while since I last battled with someone." I crossed my arms and looked at Sasuke
"what?" he said and my smile grew into a grin.
"fight me." I said and held on my sword, he smirked
"hn. I won't go easy."
"you don't have too." In a flash I disappeared.
NO ONE'S POV
Sasuke was looking around his surroundings searching for Hikari. It was weird she suddenly wanted a battle but of course with Sasuke's pride he didn't refuse.
"oh Sasuke~" Hikari's voice rang in the air, Sasuke looked around once more. She was nowhere to be seen. Then suddenly a hand shot from the ground and grabbed Sasuke's leg.
"Earth Style: Soil Burial." Hikari muttered and Sasuke was dragged to the ground.
"wow that was fast." Suigetsu commented.
"why do I feel like I have seen this before?" Hikari asked and looked at Sasuke who smirked and turned into a puff of smoke.
"I won't fall for that lame trick again Hikari." Sasuke said and appeared behind her. He lashed his katana but Hikari was quick enough to block it.
"again?" she asked as she gets ready for another attack
"that trick.. you used that on me when we were genins. back in Konoha."
"oh really?" she raised and eyebrow and Sasuke nodded. Sasuke did handsigns and jumped high in the air
"Fire Style: Grand Fireball Jutsu!" he spat out a large fireball. Hikari smirked, they were fighting near a river so she is a bit at advantage
"Water Style: Grand Waterball Jutsu!" the water from the lake formed into a ball just like Sasuke's fireball and collided with each other. Once the steam cleared out Sasuke had his chidori on his right hand.
"hmmm... using chidori again huh?" Hikari said then stopped wide eyed
"again?" she asked more to herself, Sasuke smirked and ran at her. She immediately dodged flying to the air, she bit her thumb and did handsigns, she put her palm together and summoned Shiki.
"hello mistress." Shiki said and transfigured into an eagle.
"get down from there." Sasuke crossed his arms.
"fine fine.." she waved him off and Shiki disappeared
"I just used him for landing." she smiled then did handsigns faster than Kakashi
"Ice Style: Glass Needles." she said and raised her hand, once she dropped it down with force galss-like ice crystal came raining down on Sasuke. She heard him grunt and mutter curses. Once Sasuke got out his outfit was torn and has some cuts all over his body.
"Sasuke-kun!" Karin shouted
"you're holding back Hikari." he grinned and she grinned back
"If I don't hold back I'll kill you." Sasuke activated his sharingan but Hikari activated her Kekkai Genkai.
"when I am using my Kekkai Genkai, you cannot touch me with that Sharigan of yours." she pointed
"but I can still see your movements" Sasuke drew out his sword and it was turned to a sword fight.
Katana vs. Katana, Sasuke had the upper hand when he batted away Hikari's.
"looks like I won." Sasuke said holding Hikari's hands behind her back the Katana on her throat.
"hmph. you just caught me off guard." she grunted and stood up only to fall back again.
"Hikari-chan!" Suigetsu shouted
"I-I'm fine." she said and she held on her head. Something was not right. Some images flashed into her mind. Like the red eyed kid she kept seeing in her dreams, Naruto, the copy ninja, Sasuke, their smiling faces flashed in her head
"are you sure?" Juugo asked
"y-yeah." she smiled and then passed out.
SASUKE'S POV
HOLY SHIT!! DID I OVERDO IT?!? I TOLD HER I WON'T HOLD BACK!! HOLY SHIT!!! SHE FAINTED!! I caught her in my arms before she fell on the ground.. She was breathing heavily and softly muttering some words I could not understand.
"Karin heal her." I ordered, she refused at first but I sent her a death glare so now we were sitting on the grass watching Karin heal her.
A few hours later she started to stir in her sleep, I was right next to her so I heard EVERY WORD SHE SAID
"Sasuke.. don't leave... Itachi.. help me.. forget..." she said and my eyes grew wide.
SHE KNOWS ITACHI!?!
WHAT DID HE DO TO HER!??!
THAT BASTARD WILL PAY!!!
"No.. Sasuke... don't go... " she stirred again and I held her hand
"I won't leave you again." I whispered and she seemed to calm down after that. When she wakes up I need to ask her some questions.. starting with
How does she know my brother?
HIKARI'S POV
Where am I?
I looked around the place. It was a village.
"Hikari-chan!!!" that voice. I turned to see two older people.. one female, one male. they were in their ninja uniform. Just then a young girl passed by me.
It's that girl again.. the one with black hair and red eyes.. Me. or at least that's what they said.
"yes mommy?" she said asshe ran up. Mommy? Parents.. are those? I looked closely at the two older ninjas
The female had short blue hair and red eyes. The male had black hair with black eyes. They do resemble me.. escpecially the female's jawline.
"we'll be going on a mission darling.." the female said
"alright. when will you be back?" the girl asked
"maybe a week. Naruto-kun can come over and stay with you and Chitose." the male said, the girl hugged them and they left while waving goodbye.
are those really my parents?
the dream suddenly changed to the young girl in her home playing with the fox kid and another young boy with blue hair and red eyes
"Chitose what do you want for dinner?" she asked
"Ramen!!" the boy smiled and she shook her head
"honestly you and Naruto-kun are the same." she chuckled and she was tackled on the couch.
I have a brother? where is he?
another change in the dream
"NO!! MOM!! DAD!!! DON'T LEAVE ME!!!" the girl cried and that's when I noticed I was at a funeral, some people I don't recognize were there. The girl was crying and then it rained, no one moved out of their spot and I saw the girl yell in the air as she cried and cried then I felt something warm on my cheeks. I touched my face and I noticed....
TEARS
I was crying too. I could feel the pain of this girl.. The young boy Chitose was in the aid of the copy ninja and was crying too. Then someone familiar came to view.
SASUKE...
he placed a hand on the girls' shoulder and she turned around and hugged him still crying.
I felt a pang of relief and belongingness in my heart like I was safe in Sasuke's arms.
"shhhh.. don't cry Hikari." Sasuke's voice was soothing as he stroke the girls' hair. Then something pulled me out of the dramatic scenerey.
A familiar voice..
"do you want to forget everything Hikari? start a new life where there is no traces of pain and suffering?" it was Itachi's voice
"are you sure?" he asked again then voices echoed in the dark space
"yes."
"there is no going back." Itachi's voice reassured
"I know." the echoes again and that's when I shot awake from my dream. I looked around I was back to reality. I moved my hand and noticed it was connected to something. I looked down and saw Sasuke's hand protectively over mine. I blushed but to my surprise I squeezed his hand then he woke up.
"did I wake you?" I said, he sat up and stared at me. I looked away, knowing I had once a kind of relationship with him.. things aren't clear to me yet but I know Sasike is someone special to me and he played an important role in my life..
"why are you crying?" he suddenly asked. I held up my free hand and touched my cheeks to feel my tears, maybe it was because of that dream earlier
"bad dream." I sighed.
"tell me about it." I hesitated for a while but figuring I need to trust him if I want to know something about my past I told him my dream, except for the part where Itachi's voice came. He was quiet for a while and he closed his eyes to think. Finally he sighed,
"that girl is you Hikari.. or your past.. you had a dream the day your parents died on a mission. Chitose was your younger brother." he looked me in the eyes with so much emotion. one was like he was begging me to remember and one was he was questioning me why I can't.
"tell me.. about my family." I said
"I don't have that much to say, Naruto knows much more than I do since you two are like bestfriends."
"me? and that fox kid? I do kind of think I know him somewhere but were we that close?" he nodded and I sighed
"tell me what you know about my parents then."
"very well.. your mother is Kori Kyoko and your father is Kori Akito, they were very remarkable jounins and are well known in the village, with your father's kekkai genkai to copy abilities by touch and your mother's force field type ability they were inseparable. one day they were sent on a S Rank mission. I don't know what happened with that mission but they had been MIA for about 2 weeks, when the ninja sent to find them, they returned with their bodies." I tried hard not to cry when he told me the story. One cause I was proud my parents were amazing ninjas but I was also sad that they had to die.
"wha-what about Chitose?" he looked at me with sad eyes
"Chitose as a child was very sickly.. when you reached the age of 12, Chitose died." and that did it. I cannot hold it in anymore. I started to sniffle and I wrapped my arms on knees and cried silently, but you could hear the soft mourns I let out.
"you and Naruto then started to live together in your house. you seemed to be fine after a few days, not showing any sign of sadness or anything. But every night you go to the roof and cry like this." Sasuke said and he wrapped his arms around me and brought me closer.
"I-I.. w-why?? why did I forget about all this??" I said through my tears.
"I don't know." he mumbled and I kept on crying. The pain in my heart started to grow.

SASUKE'S POV
It's been two days since Hikari's emotional breakdown.. she now knows a bit about herself but it still does not explain how she knows Itachi and how she lost her memories and remember nothing at all.. we were walking in a village we found when Hikari abruptly stopped and looked around as if she was looking for someone or she was panicking.
"what's the matter?" I asked and she looked back at me with worry filled eyes
"something's not right." she said again and dropped on her knees to search her bag. after minutes she took out a wooden doll.
"eww you still play with dolls?" Karin spat and in a flash Hikari's hand was on her throat.
"don't you dare insult his dolls." she spat as she glared at Karin who was easily turning blue.
"Hikari-chan." Suigetsu said and patted her shoulder, she dropped Karin and stared her down before looking back at the doll. She was just staring at it then it suddenly moved..
"are you doing this?" Juugo asked as we looked at the doll that was standing up. she shook her head and kept her eye on the doll.
"what is it doing?" Karin whispered. No one answered her and just eyed the moving doll.. It was walking towards Hikari. She opened her palm and it walked up to her cheek and acted like it kissed her. She looked at the doll and on intant it broke.
HIKARI'S POV
Something's not right.. I can feel it.. I feel like something wrong is going to happen. I dropped my bag and searched for Sasori-kun's doll. I don't know why but it's like my body moved on my own.
"what is it doing?" Karin asked, I ignored her because of what she said earlier and because I don't like her. The doll walked up to me and I held my hand in front of it. It walked up to my arms and kissed my cheek. I looked at it and then suddenyl it broke, well, it had an x-mark on the face.
and that's when realization hit me..
