(David's P.O.V.)
I absolutely love, the sun whenever it sets, rises, or shines. The
warmth of the sun reminds me of a gentle hug. Which is a
lovely way to wake up. This sun rise was no exception, I always
wake up before the sun to watch as it creeps up the sky and off of
the ground, laying on my stomach resting my head on folded
arms. Once the sun detaches from the hills I get up and head to
my closet, pulling out a button down white shirt, navy trousers,
and blazer with a pair of black socks and dark brown dress shoes.
Now I know this is a rather ravishing appearance and people will
ask "Who's the lucky girl?" or "What's the occasion?" I'm used to
these questions. They don't bother me as the people who ask
usually are new to town and don't know me, in all truth I just love
dressing up weather its formal attire or a costume. As I walk out I
pick up a black tie and neatly tie it before walking down stairs to
the kitchen preparing breakfast for my mum. Cooking is one
of my favorite this to do although I'm not the best with more
complex dishes you better bet I make wicked flapjacks. Turning
on the stove top and preparing the batter I hear my mum's door
open. "Well good morning my lovely lady and how have you
slept?" I fondly chirp She smiles sweetly walking over and leaning up as I tilt
my head lower for her to plant a kiss on my cheek "oh David,
your the best son any mom could have" she says cupping my
face. "well of course I am, figured that would be obvious" I say
with a side ways glance and a jestful smile gaining her scoff and
roll of the eyes. "after all I am your son, and what mother could
have one better" she laughs as I smile as wide as I can. With her
taking a seat at the table I start the tea and eggs after pouring the
batter for the flapjacks. Once it's all done I prepared two plates
and mugs bringing them over for us. "So did you sleep well?" I
ask before sipping my tea "I actually slept well thank you, what
about you, did you actually go to bed before midnight?" she raised her eye brows
"I did" I say straightening my posture as if I'm very proud of this
accomplishment. "Right then well what time?" I simply replied
"11:59" she shook her head resting it on the palm of her hand. "oh
mum I almost forgot I'm heading to the park to hang out with
Amanda and Alesha today. " I soon become concerned as a cheeky
smile spreads across mums face "ok" tilting my head I say "ok
come on what is it?" she picked up her tea cup "Just thinking of
how those girls will be all over you." I groan "mum how many
times must I tell you there just my friends" I say gathering the
plates to put in the washer. "I know, but my Lord David you've
been single for so long I worry you might be forever" placing the
last dish I retort with "thanks for being so confident in me mum."
she gets up pouring herself another cup, " I am I'd just like to see
you bring someone home is all." I button up my blazer as I walk
to the door "well mum I'm still young I'll find someone yet." she
walks over giving me a firm hug "I know you will, have fun and
don't be out to late." I rub my thumb in the palm of her hand " I
know mum I won't." It's the last thing I say before heading out the
door and down the street to our towns public park. Which is
actually rather lovely, considering were just a small town. The
park has large lush green lawns with trees dotted about and a
little creek flows in the main area out front. However the further
into the trail the woodsyer it becomes and appears more like a
real forest. With thick dark trees a small River and every kind of
wild flower imaginable. On the edge of of the parks property is a
meadow filled with these flowers, I always go there it's like my
own personal heaven on earth. Most people tend to avoid this or
miss it entirely, because it's so far into the park. most usually I'm
with my best friends on the front benches chatting, fooling
around, and checking out any cuties walking by. Occasionally
talking to them if I like them enough. Honestly thinking about my
life, my friends, and family. If it wasn't for everyone I know, I
wouldn't be alive right now. We've all been friends since we were
tiny children especially since we all grew up on the same street
unfortunately in recent years we've all move to different spots in
town. thankfully that never stops us from hang out. Making my
way to the park I began gliding past everyone else on the
sidewalk there is a designated bench where we meet, so that it's
easier to find each other. Not like it's hard to spot those two,
Alesha with her lovely clear tawny skin, her outfit complimenting
her humbly. Light denim shorts with a white and midnight blue
stripped short sleeve, finished with a small white stone on a
sliver chain for a necklace. This delicate look is precious,
considering she has the strongest personality and would knock
out someone if they deserved it. Amanda was similar to her in
this way, but she's more elegant unless you rattled her cage
enough. Amanda's outfit being just as perfect as Alesha's with her
wearing a loose white short sleeve top adorn with red flowers
aside from that she wore old faded jeans and tennis shoes. It feels
slightly unfair that they can look so normal and like goddesses
simultaneously. Striding to the bench I flash my biggest and
brightest grin " Well hello lady's, and how are you today?" Both of
them turning to face me "David!" We rush into a group hug
slightly smaller than usual " It's so amazing to see you I'm glad
you're here." Amanda said being the first to break the group hug
"I'm happy to see the both of you too, so I guess Ant and Dec can't
make it then?" Alesha shrugged "They said Dec's Nan wanted to
take them to get new school clothes." I couldn't help but laugh " I
can't even imagine Dec in anything but a band shirt, anyway
have you seen any cuties yet?" Alesha scoffed " no, we've been
waiting for you to get here." I over exaggerate a sigh while rolling
my eyes " well that's rubbish were wasting opportunities, let's go
let's go, chop chop girls, move your bums!" We laugh as we begin
walk about looking for ,hopefully, single victims. We've walked
around for about 15 minutes before Alesha points out some bloke
sitting by the creek. I couldn't see much of him from where I was,
although I could tell he was white with dark hair, and a slightly
oversized storm cloud grey sweater. He also had a skateboard
sitting next to him, and just as I'm about to make my way to him
Amanda cuts in. "Oh he's rather cute, do you either of you mind if
I try this one?" Alesha was quick to answer "not at all." To be fair
he's probably safer with her "go for it girl, well be over here" I say
while Alesha and I sit on the grass. Amanda cheerfully bouncing
off to the boy I wondered why she was so excited? She could
more than likely have any guy at our school my train of thought
was cut off by Alesha " do you think she'll get him?" I gave her a
skeptical look. "Are you serious? Alesha you and Amanda are the
two most beautiful girls I know and I mean on the inside too." Her
hand fluttered up landing over her heart "Aw David you're so
sweet." I was about to respond when we were interrupted by
Amanda storming over looking rather furious "Whats did he do,
if he touched you I swear!-" She held up her hand sitting with us
and began ranting about how this guy was the rudest person
She's ever met! "He even said that I'm not all that interesting!
That I'm obnoxious, and how it's a wonder I have any friends."
Alesha looked livid about this, she's never been the type to let
anyone get away with disrespecting her friends. "I have half the
mind to go tell him off he has absolutely not right or reason to say
any of that to you." I could tell this was going to get bad and that I
needed to intervene. "He really didn't, but if we keep talking
about him then we're the unhappy ones. Wasting our life, time,
and energy. Besides we know how wonderful Amanda is and
how amazing we all are, so we don't need to make him
understand or like that." I could tell what was said descalated the
situation "David's right you don't need to go tell him off Alesha I
mean the queen doesn't through fits over critics so neither should
we." Alesha's expression lightened at this "Exactly, now let's stop
wasting time and move on to the next opportunity." With that we
all stood up and began walking again it's been awhile since I've
seen Amanda and Alesha, I'm so thankful to have them in my life.
Honestly there a third of the reason I'm still alive today, ant and
Dec being another third and my mom being the final piece of
why I'm still here. Thankfully so, but now's not the time to dwell
on the past, not with all the happiness that there is here today. All
the laughter and activities of the people. With the sun over head
with little fluffy white clouds, the gentle breeze puts me in such a
great mood. Nothing could go wrong and I feel like something big
is about to begin.
