Izuku looked at the board infront of him and he almost feels bad for himself, almost, he's facing against Shoto and Shinso is facing Sero, he knows Shoto can make ice, if there's one thing Izuku hates its ice, don't get me wrong he loves cold things but touching ice! Holding it in your hands? The feeling of getting stuck on it? He'd really rather not, he knows Shinso can blast through the match pretty quickly but he honestly isn't sure about himself
Due to his half and half motif it's pretty safe to say that Shoto probably has a dual quirk, just based on how he acts, also he only gets frostbites on his right side, almost like his other side is warmer or something, it's mostly speculation though, he kinda wants to talk to Shinso but the purplenette was avoiding him for some reason, oh well not his problem, he's sure Shinso can win anyways!
"You... I think it's pretty safe to say I'm stronger than you" Shoto says when he passes by him, Izuku stops and stares, Shoto also stops as if he's expecting that to happen
"Yeah you are, pretty strong, and you have ice by your side I'm sure there's no doubt that you'll win!" He says, Shoto stays still for a moment before walking away

The stadium roared but not for him, not that he minds anyways, he's just here to teach little sir Hero a lesson about heroics anyways even if he's not a hero
They stood off both in opposite sides of the arena

"Well he's encased- wait, oh you're right haha, where could he be?"
A few moments passed and suddenly there's a crack, and another until a part of the iceberg on the side is blown off, Izuku ran out and towards Shoto
"Haha! Knew you'd do something like that you show off!"
"H-How..?"
"I was standing on my tippy toes behind that ice I almost fell down! I leapt back and thankfully you didn't cover my entire side, about that blown off thing I just kinda wanted to look cool!" He grins
"Anyways!" Suddenly Izuku looked serious
"If you use even one more ice attack you're gonna get like, unhealthily cold, not to mention we're standing real close to ice right now too, I suggest you use your left side to save Recovery girl the trouble"
"Why you-! You don't know me! I can win this with only my right side! I'll show you!" Izuku almost slips dodging the small layer of ice on his feet, Shoto is scaringly pale
"I sure don't! But who wants to have a hero doing things half assed?"
"You're one to speak, you don't even want to be a hero"
"Hey just because I don't want to be a hero doesn't mean I don't get to criticise the way you act, Wah Wah you have daddy issues, you know who else will have daddy issues? Kids who'd lose their dads if you weren't able to save them just because you don't like being hot, cry me a bridge and get over it, even Katsuki's motivation is better than yours! I mean seriously this is why there's still villains out there!"
"Huh? I don't remember telling you about my fathe-"
"You're running by the wrong motivations! Even if you get your license the most you'll be is a phony hero! You can flaunt your heroism all you like but what kind of hero doesn't give it their all? I'll tell you! A really bad hero who really only cares about themselves, I can already imagine your future! Leaving the battlefield just because you think your quirk is not suitable, watching civilians die because of what? Can't use my fire I have dad issues, are all of you in Class 1-a like that?
Even Bakugou! He only cares about winning, he'd probably cause a lot of collateral damage or worse, leave civilians by themselves just because he wants to fight another villain first and why? Because he's prideful and so are you, honestly you're worst than him atleast he's gonna be giving it his all, I don't even want to be here in UA anymore if it meant getting associated with the likes of you, with the likes of fake heroes like you, you're worse than villains because people actually look up to you and expect you to save them, can you imagine? Getting caught in a villain attack, a hero comes and says hey I can't fight my quirk is useless even though if you just used your other side you could actually prove effective?

Izuku knows that Shoto is not in fact, acting like his dad at all but it seems to be just the right button to push because a few seconds after a bright red flame erupts from his left side
One thing is in Izuku's mind right now
Holy shit that is so cool I want to touch it
He knows he's slightly resistant to fire anyways or anything heated really thanks to Bakugou
Then his father starts screaming, Izuku sends him a sour sour look
"Just this once.. this once, I'll prove to you, I am worthy of being a hero"
"Keep on going at that and maaaaybe I might even reconsider!" He says trying to walk off the stadium as if surrendering
Ice erupted all around them, blocking the exits
"Uuuuuh hey? Um I-"
"I'll prove it to you"

Izuku stared at the screen infront of him

He's relying on his quirk too much
His coordination is horrible now that he's using both

It was done when Izuku managed to kick Shoto hard enough for him to topple out of the arena
"It was a good fight while it lasted, but your coordination is horrible and you kept your left side wide open, train up a bit more Shoucchan and then we can have a real battle! Which I probably won't survive next time but I'll still cheer you on!"
Shoto is quiet as he stands up
"Thank you" he mutters out
"Huh?"

As expected Shinso was able to easily defeat Sero
"You're amazing Shin-chan!"
"I guess I am..."
"Are you okay Shinso? You're acting kinda odd"
"No it's fine, just need some time alone" Izuku watched as Shinso walked away

Hmmm, I'm fighting against Ashido , Kacchans fighting Kirishima, Shinso is gonna be fighting Tokayami and Iida with Ibara
What a weird match up, I wonder if Mina's acid is gonna do anything to me? She's fast and athletic and her quirk enhances her ability but that's all there is to it right? What about Tokayami? He doesn't speak that much does he? He might just continuously assault Shinso like he did with Momo, he's weak to light but Shinso's quirk doesn't really produce any of that
With the way the lineup is, Shinso is gonna face Kacchan if he wins and I'm gonna have to face whoever else wins

Izuku watched as Mina manoeuvres around before kicking him, he holds her leg before it reaches his face
Do I throw her? By the leg? That's not gentle manly like behavior! He settles on just dropping Mina out of bounds
"Haha that was kinda a lame defeat for me huh?" Mina grins though
Izuku looks at the acid on the ground, he touches it with his finger before putting said finger in his mouth

"You're weird but I'll cheer you on! You better not lose okay!"
"Thanks I'll keep that in mind"
