Hiccup's P.O.V
I awoke to my dad calling me from downstairs. I rolled over in my bed. The sun hadn't even come up, well actually it was just starting to. I heard his heavy footsteps coming up the stairs, and him opening the door.

"Son! Get up we have a busy day of chief work to do. And being the future of Berk you need to be ready to handle the responsibility of being chief." I moan knowing that he wasn't going to leave me alone and sat up in bed. "But dad!"

"No buts, son! Get up we've got work to do."

I groaned again flopping back down trying to make the most of the time I had left in my bed under the warm furs.

"Son!" He called again more stern this time. "Coming!" I got up and went down the stairs.

It had been a couple weeks since the incident with Astrid at the cherry blossom tree. I'd been doing my best to simply just forget the whole ordeal. The news of us being split has gone around fast. Some people agree, some didn't care. But there were others who didn't exactly like the idea of what happened. Mostly Astrid's family. Well all of her family. And most everyone knows of (y/n) and I now too. News spreads fast when you're next in line to be a chief I guess.

When I'm down stairs I look at my dad who has a happy smile on his face. "Ah come on, Hiccup. I thought you were a morning person."

"Not this early." I mumble to myself. He didn't seem to catch my joke, so I grabbed some bread and followed my dad out the door.

3 hours later

"Thank you Stoick! I couldn't have fixed the roof without ya."

"No problem Eira! I'm always happy to help."

The woman turned to me, "are Ye coming to ma wedding Hiccup?" I smiled at the woman. "Yes, I'll be sure to come." I smiled at her. "Are you going to bring that new girl of yours?" A sly smile appeared on her face. I feel myself blush at the mention of her. "Well, I don't know. I guess, maybe." I scratch my head a little and feel my dad's hand smack against my back sending me forward a little.

"Oh course they'll both be there! As future chief and the future wife of the chief." He gives me a wink. The blush in my face increases. "Dad! No one said I'm going to marry her! What if she doesn't want to go?" They both laugh at me and I feel myself blush even more. "Ah, I remember when I was your age saying the same thing about ma soon to be husband." I threw my hands up, "Ah. Dad can I go?" The old chief sighs. "Fine, go on." He turned and continued his conversation with Eira.

I started to head back to my house to go fly Toothless when a familiar voice stopped me. I turned slowly to see the young female running toward me.

"Hiccup! Can we talk for a minute."

I rolled my eyes. Astrid. What could she possible want now?

"Hey Astrid." She walks once she gets closer. "Hey Hiccup." There was a moment of silence between us before she spoke up again. "Look, I wanted to apologize for acting so horrible." I looked at her in surprise. It was great to hear this, but it defiantly wasn't like her. "Oh, you-you are?" She looked sheepish. "Yeah, I shouldn't have done that. And I-I hope we can forget this?" I gave her a smile. "Yeah, that would be great. Friends?" I thought I saw her clench her jaw, but she nodded. "Friends." With that she took off. It was a little strange that she did that, but I'm glad. I head to (y/n)'s to tell her what happened.

(Y/n)'s P.O.V
You grab some fish for Makeshift. She had been bugging you since you woke up, which was an hour or two ago. She jumps excitingly as you put the basket down for her to eat from. She eats quickly enjoying every bite. You couldn't help but laugh at her grabbing a book and opening to where you left off.

You're suddenly jolted from your reading when you hear a knock on the door. "Come in?" You called honestly not knowing who it would be. Lately a lot of the villagers had been stopping by and asking questions about Hiccup and you. Luckily Hiccup comes through the door. "You'll never guess what happened." He started closing the door behind him. "What?" He looked at him giving him a sarcastic look. "Did your dad tell you that he wants you to be chief? Or did you remember were you put your journal?" You laughed at him as he laughed back. "What?! No this is serious. I'm being serious." He said slowing his laugher. He came and sat next to you. "Ok, so I was helping my dad with his chief stuff and when it was time to leave I was heading back to my house to fly Toothless. And Astrid came and talked to me." You give him a concerning look. "What did she want?"

"Ok get this," he started placing his hand on your leg. "She apologized for what she did back at the cherry tree!" You send him a confused look, "that's not like her at all."

"That's what I thought! But she seemed like she was being honest though." He shook his head. "Well that's a good thing. Right?" You placed a hand on his which caused him to look at you. "Right?" He sighs but smiles. "I know her though. I just don't know what to make of the matter."

"Maybe she really is. I mean, why else would she say sorry." He smiled. "Yeah you're right." He gives you a peak on the cheek. "Thanks (y/n). I can always count on you to clear my head." You smiled and returned the kiss and peaked his cheek. "Glad I could help." That look came back into his eyes. The one that made you feel there was no trouble in the world.

"Well I should go fly Toothless." He said breaking the gaze between you. You felt yourself blush. "Oh yeah. You wouldn't  want to keep him waiting." You smile looking at the fire in the fireplace. You feel his gaze on you again. "(Y/n)?" You turn your head and hummed in response. "You ok?" You nod your head. It wasn't a lie. You feel him kiss your cheek again. "Did you want to come with Toothless and I?" You shook your head. "No I have to clean up around here." You gesture to the messy house. He nodded. "Ok I'll see you around then." You smile as he gets up. You find yourself following him to the door. "Oh and one more thing."

"Yes?" You say watching the handsome young man.
"I was wondering if you were going to Eira and Philor's wedding?" You shrug your shoulders. "Well you want to go with me?" A smile crosses your face. "Yes, of course."

"Great." He gently places one last kiss on your forehead before exiting out the door. You turn and look around the house. "Let's get started." You begin to pick some things off the floor, thinking about what Hiccup had said.

Astrid's P.O.V
I could feel Hiccup watching me leave. What I said wasn't a lie. I did actually feel bad for what had taken place. And apologizing did make me feel better. I turned to head back to my house thinking about that night in the woods with Snotlout. In just a few weeks our plan would happen. I'd done my part. I just hope now that Hiccup won't find out.

As I near my house I saw Snotlout approaching me, so I waited for him to catch up. Usually, I would have tried my best to get away from him; but now we seemed to be in the same side.

"What do you want?" I say crossing my arms. "I got the wine. No one seemed to notice me either." I watched him. "Ok, is that it?" He rolls his eyes in annoyance. "Are you keeping up your part of the deal?" I nodded. "You need to stop talking to me or you're going to raise suspicion." With that said I went into my house leaving him outside.

We had met earlier in the woods far from Berk so that no one could hear of what we were planning. I went over the plan over and over in my head. Trying to find out if there was anyway that this plan could go wrong. Every time I found a problem there was always something that would guarantee this plan would work.

I went to my room noticing that my parents were gone. They must be out at their job. Once in my room I think over the plan again, thinking about writing it down. But then I couldn't stand the risk of someone seeing it. And I didn't want to have to explain. So I ran it over once more not wanting to forget a single thing.

We get to the party. We wait till the two are alone. If not we make them alone by telling someone to tell them that one or the other are looking for each other somewhere. Probably the forge. We give them the drink and we drink with them but only water and then we leave and let them start fighting. Simple. And no matter what or who finds them it can only benefit their break up.

I felt my hands getting clammy. Why was I so nervous? Maybe of getting caught? Should I really do this? Is this the best way? I rub my face deciding not to think about it anymore and leave my house to go look for my Deadly Nadder. Flying would clear my mind. Just a few more weeks.

Eira and Philor's wedding:
(Y/n)'s P.O.V (l/d)= light or dark
You look at yourself in the mirror looking at your (l/d) (f/c) dress. You let out a sign and burry your face in your hands. You had been to many weddings before but none of them you were trying to impress someone. Deciding that the more you looked at yourself the more unsure you became, you head downstairs. Makeshift was laying by the fire and seemed to notice your uncertainty. She got up and gave you a slight nudge as if to say, "don't worry, you look great." You give her a thanking pat on the head and scratch under her chin. "I'm off." You tell her quietly opening the door. Winter was around the corner, so the air was a bit more cooler than usual, causing you to wrap your arms around you tighter.

As you approach the Haddock house, you see Hiccup coming out of the great building to meet you. When he sees you he blushes slightly and smiles. When he was in ear shot you heard him say, "wow, you look amazing." You blush at his words. "Same to you." He holds out his arm and smiles. "Shall we, milady?" You loop your arm in his and head toward the beach were the ceremony would take place.

You walking in silence for a bit. Hiccup turned and looked at you, "you seem nervous." You return his gaze. "I guess a little."

"Why?"

You pounder this for a minute. "I really don't know. I guess just because ever since I've become your, girlfriend, a lot of people have been watching me lately." He chuckles slightly. "Hey don't worry. I'll always be here for you." He un-loops his arm from yours for a moment and kisses your hand before looping it back again. You laugh at his gesture and relax.

You approach the beach where the ceremony would take place. There were a couple people there already. The soon to be husband stood at the altar. Stoick approached you two.

"(Y/n)! You look beautiful." You blush at his comment. "She sure is." Hiccup added wrapping his arm around your back earning a chuckle from the old man. "(Y/n), as future wife to Hiccup, it would be great if you stood by his side up there. Your face lite up. "Future wife?" You looked at Hiccup who's face was also red. "D-dad! We talked about this!" He just laughed more. "You two are cute." He walked away to help greet some more of the guests giving his son a pat on his shoulder as he passed. "J-just don't listen to him." Hiccup said face still red.

You followed as Hiccup helped his dad with greeting the guests. Occasionally Stoick would let you greet the guests. You could have sworn that you saw Hiccup smile as he watched.

Once all the guests were seated, the ceremony began. You stood beside Hiccup in the front off to the side. Eira walked down the isle. You looked to see Philor who had tears in his eyes. This was so cute. When they were both at the altar Stoick talked for a while.

"Now my son, the future chief, shall say the vows." He pulled Hiccup up to the book to read from. He had a defeated look on his but quickly hid it with a smile. Once the vows were done, the couple kissed.

"To The Great Hall everyone!" Stoick's loud voice boomed. Everyone found themselves making their way to The Great Hall.

"How did I do?" Hiccup ask grinning at you. "You did ok." You said, unable to fight the urge to tease him. "What?! Just ok? You're talking to the future chief young lady!" You laughed at him and shook your head. "This future chief is so full of himself." He thought about this for a minute then nodded and laughed. "It's true." You felt his hand intertwine with yours. "Shall we?" You two headed off to The Great Hall.

Soon you find yourself nearing the door. You stand outside with Hiccup and grip his hand, the nerves coming back. He notices this and gently pulls you close.

"You'll be fine." He lets go and looks into your eyes. "Ready?" With a nod he opens the door. The decor was pretty. Red and blue decorations were scattered amongst the great place. A long table held all kinds of meats and fruits. In the middle was a blue cake with the top a red color. They blended together quite nicely.

"Want me to get us some drinks?" He snaps you out of your trance. "Oh yes, please." He lets go of your hand and heads to the drink table. You see Astrid making her way to you. Hoping she doesn't want to talk to you, you avoid making eye contact. She taps your shoulder gently, getting your attention.

"Oh, hello Astrid." You say trying to not sound nervous. "Hey, I just wanted to apologize to you for all the trouble I've caused you and Hiccup. I know it happened a while ago, but I haven't seen you around till now."

"Oh, uh, t-thank you, I guess. I forgive you." She smiles, "great! Could we be friends?" You smile at her words. "Yes of course. That's all I ever wanted."

"Here (y/n)." Hiccup returns and hands you your drink. "Thank you." You say as you take it from his hand. He looks at Astrid.

"I should, uh, get going." She said before leaving. "What was that all about?" Hiccup questions. "She just wanted to apologize to me for what happen last month." Hiccup's thinking look overtakes his face. "Weird." You place your hand on his shoulder and squeeze it gently. "Hey don't worry. Let's have fun, ok?" A smile returns to his face. "Yeah ok."

30 minutes later

You walk around with Hiccup for a while before a slow song comes on. "Hey! Can I have this dance?" Hiccup says holding out his hand. You stare at his hands a little before mildly taking hold of them. "I'm going to warn you," you start as you head to the dance floor, "I'm not the best dancer." He pulls you close wrapping his arms around your waist. "And you have both feet." He hold back a giggle that was making its way to the surface. "What?" You say a small giggle escaping your lips. "You heard me." He smirks as you wrap your arms around his neck.

As the dance continues, you feel his forehead rest against yours, his eyes closed. You couldn't help but smile at the peaceful look on his face. When the song slowly came to an end you felt a pair of warm lips brush against your, sending chills down your spine. You could feel the warm air of his breath every time he exhaled. Soon his lips had made their way to yours, sealing the kiss. You smiled into the kiss feeling him grin. The kiss itself was kinda wet, but you didn't mind. When you pulled away a short line of spit connected you for a moment. A laugh escapes both your lips as he wipes it away letting his hands slide down to your hips before completely separating. "Lets go." Hiccup says heading to the food table. "I have to use the bathroom real quick." You say as he nods. "Ok I'll meet you there." You smile before heading off to the girls room.

Astrid's P.O.V
I bumped Snotlout causing him to drop the chicken he was currently eating. "What?" He said clearly annoyed about his chicken. "Time to go." You said trying to make it sound like a normal conversation. His eyes widen as he realizes what I said. "Oh let's go. Kiss for good luck?" He smirked. I put a hand up threatening to punch him. He winces, but it never comes. "Let's just get this done with." You say heading toward the Ruffnut, Snotlout heading to Fishlegs.

I watched and waited for Snotlout to be done talking with Fishlegs. Pretty soon I saw Fishlegs walk to Hiccup and say something. He nods and I watch as Hiccup leaves before making my way to Ruffnut.

"Hey Ruffnut! If you see (y/n) can you tell her that Hiccup wants her to go to the forge. I don't know what they're doing, but could you tell her?"

"Wait," she starts looking at me. I feel my nerves creep through me afraid that somehow I had messed up. "You're ok with that?" I feel my face light up. "I'm past that! Look just tell her, ok?" I walk away hearing her laugh slightly muttering, "yeah right." As much as I wanted to go back, I kept going.

I waited for Ruff to find her. When she finally came out Ruffnut saw her instantly and approached her. They chatted for a bit before I saw her start to head for the exit. Taking a deep breath I made my way to Snotlout.

"Is he going?" He nods his head. "Great, shall we wait for them outside?" He nods and we head out.

We run past (y/n) and watch as Hiccup enters the forge. Around 2 minutes later (y/n) walks through the door. I walk to the side of the old building and listen occasionally picking up laugher and giggles. Around 15 minutes of waiting, I decide to go in. Snotlout hands me two cups. "Those are ours!" He says and I nod in agreement. Right before he goes to enter, I stop him.

"Wait!" I say with a whisper. "I don't know about this anymore."

"You can't back out now!" I pour my cup and hand him his. "You do it! I don't want to do this. I helped a little, you can do the rest." I walk away not wanting to look back. I had a bad feeling about this, and I didn't want any part of it.

Snotlout's P.O.V
I watched as Astrid stormed off.

That's just fine. I don't need her. I can do this myself! I think. I open the door and greet them. "Hey! Hiccup! (Y/n)! Fishlegs said you would be here!" The two of them jump at the sound of me coming in.

"Snotlout? What are you doing here?" Hiccup asks watching me.

"Your dad asked me to find you to give you these. Something about not wanting to ruin your fun but wanting you to take part in this weird chief thing." I said hoping I didn't sound nervous. (Y/n) sat on a table watching Hiccup and me. I feel my nerves rising.

What if they remember I gave this to them? What if it doesn't work? What if there is a hidden fault?

I push these thoughts from my mind. "Well I don't want to stay here anymore, I want to get back to the party. Here." I push the drink in their hands and watch a little. Hiccup gives me one last strange look before taking a sip, (y/n) doing the same. "That's actually pretty good." Hiccup says looking at (y/n) who nods in agreement. I leave hoping everything would go well. I let my breath out once outside, feeling like my acting was horrible. A see a figure coming toward me and I dive into the bushes.

"Snotlout!" It was Astrid. I wave her over. "Please say you didn't do it yet."

"Just did." I tell her with a grin. "Oh no. We have to stop them. We can't split them up because we're not happy. This is wrong." We both jump when we hear a thud from inside the building followed by a strange noise. "There's a good chance they'll just fall asleep." I reassure her with an eye roll making sure she didn't see it. There was then another thump from within the building.

"What in gods name is that?"

Astrid and I both froze in our spots. The voice was very recognizable, we both knew who it was. The thump from the fake leg gave it away almost as much with the voice. Gobber was approaching the forge. I held my breath afraid that he might hear.

"Must be some Terrible Terrors that got in." I heard him mumble under his breath. When he opens the door, he lets out something that sounds like a scream.

"What in gods names are you doing?" He finally says. We heard some scrambling around inside the place and something that sounds like, "cover yourselves." But I really couldn't tell; it was far to muffled.

"What did he just say?" Astrid asked trying to get a better look. I shushed her once I heard more noise from inside the place. The three came out. Gobber was holding them by their shirts. "We're going straight to your house Hiccup then I'm going to go get your dad."

Astrid and I looked at each other. Our plan worked, now we just need to Stoick to do the rest. We snuck back to the wedding before anyone would notice we were gone.

(Y/n)'s P.O.V
Gobber lead you and Hiccup to his house. Despite having a fuzzy memory of the whole night all you really know was that some stuff hurt. Mostly down there. But you didn't think of it much and looked over to Hiccup who look terrible. He puked once on the way. You felt like doing the same, but it never came.

Before you knew it, you were entering the Haddock house. Although Gobber seeming to be mad at you and Hiccup for some reason, you felt him gently place you in Hiccup's bed. The covers were warm and nice and all you wanted was to feel the peacefulness of sleep. Before you knew it, you were drifting off into a deep sleep not caring about what happened. You just wanted sleep.
