Third Person's POV
"We're blasting off again!" The famous Team Rocket trio yells after getting blasted away by a familiar thunderbolt.
Good old Team Rocket. Their white uniforms with a bright red R that doesn't make them obvious to the police at all. Kalos hasn't been kind to them at all. Usually they can get close to their ultimate goal of catching Pikachu but this region has not treated them well.
"I'm tired of landing in trees," Jessie complains while awkwardly laying across a branch. Her long deep red hair drops over the edge while maintaining the curve and point at the end.
"Are you now?" The talking Pokémon Meowth says sarcastically. "Maybe if we worked together once in awhile this wouldn't happen."
"That would mean Jessie would have to actually do something," James jokes. His periwinkle hair is all messed up by the collection of leaves and branches that he is pulling out.
"Hey I do a lot!" Jessie tells. "At least my Pokémon aren't soft."
"They take after their trainer," Meowth continues the jokes.
"Yeah and-" James starts.
"Shut up both of you!" Jessie yells. "We are going to get Pikachu this time once and for all."
"Jessie's right," Meowth smirks. "For once."
"Now all we need is a plan," James helps Jessie out of the tree. "You're welcome."
"Be quiet," Jessie says and pushes him away.
"Hurry up you two," Meowth says, already down the path. "If we beat da twerps to the mountain we might be able to use that to our advantage."
"Let's go then," Jessie says and starts marching comically. James shrugs and does the same as the trio make their way towards the small mountain that peaks over the forest.
We now join the twerps...
"That was too easy," Bonnie laughs while brushing Dedenne's fur.
"They seem to get worse and worse everyday," Clemont adds.
"Especially with how strong Ash's Pokémon are getting," Serena giggles.
"It's weird," Ash says deep in thought. "They usually get Pikachu by now."
"Pika?" The yellow mouse looks at his trainer confused.
"What I mean is that there is usually a few times where they take you for awhile," Ash explains. "I don't think they've got you out of our sight yet."
"Maybe you're just able to dodge all their tricks now," The energetic lemon blonde shrugs.
"I was thinking Ash," Clemont starts. "Jessie, James have been together ever since the start of your journey right."
The raven haired trainer nods. "That seems like a long time for the two to stay together despite all their fighting," Clemont continues.
"Are you thinking what I hope you're thinking?" Bonnie's smiles wide.
"No way they're together," Serena points out. "We would have noticed it by now."
"Maybe they're denying their feelings," Bonnie says. "And we need to help bring out the truth."
"I'm lost," Ash rubs the back of his head.
"Of course," Serena sighs.
"What-ahhh!" Bonnie quickly stops herself from falling down one of the famous Team Rocket holes.
"It's gotta be them right?" Serena asks while looking around for the tree that like to make their presence known.
"Prepare for trouble!" Jessie says hidden from view.
"And make it double!" James says also out of sight.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all people within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"It's Jessie!"
"And James!"
"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth! That's right!" He finishes and jumps out in front.
"Come out you two!" Serena yells.
"Why would we do that twerpette?" Jessie says and quickly ties a rope around Serena and pulling her away.
James followed after their initial panic and took away Clemont and brought him next to Serena. Meowth also uses the opportunity to use his paws to wrap a smaller rope around Bonnie. Leaving Ash the only one able to move...
"I think you left the wrong person," Ash smirks and Pikachu sparks his cheeks.
"Did we?" Meowth smirks and brings out a small device with a big red button.
The ground rumbled for a second and Ash figures it was time for some robot to show up. He was wrong...
The ground collapsed, leaving Ash down in a pretty deep hole on the ground. The pale brown dirt was cracking as more dust and rocks fell on him. "Gotcha!" Jessie yells and throws one of their electric resistant cages over the surprises mouse.
"Let's run!" James says and takes Pikachu from Jessie so that she didn't have to carry him.
Instead of their usual balloon escape, they decided to simply get lost in the forest. The twerps didn't know though.
"Good thing you have your Aipom arm," Ash sighs as he gets lifted out of the hole by Clemont's invention.
"Frogadier come out and use cut!" Ash yells.
The blue frog Pokémon swiftly cut through the three ropes. They were shredded until their hold was lost, giving the gift of mobility back.
"Fletchinder go look for them," Ash sighs as the small bird takes off.
"You just had to say something about them being bad at their job," Bonnie sighs.
They may be too late though...
"Hurry and call the boss," Jessie urges Meowth. The small black cube device opens revealing the back of their boss.
"Boss," The three salute.
"Good news?" Giovanni asks still turned around.
"We have captured the special Pikachu," James announces.
"Ketchum's?" Giovanni turns around with a raised eyebrow.
Meowth turns the camera to show the sleeping Pikachu who obviously isn't too concerned with the situation. "I'll send Delibird right away," Giovanni says and the screen fades black.
"We did it," Meowth sighs happily with his back against a tree.
"A long time," James smiles. "Just us three."
"We are a pretty good team," Jessie smiles. "And we always will be."
"Will we though?" Meowth frowns. "If we get our dreamed promotion, will we stay together?"
"Oh," Jessie says sadly.
"Never thought of that," James continued.
"Remember that time I got lost and that guy let me stay with him," Jessie says. "I loved that so much for some reason."
"Are you saying you love him?" James questions sadly.
"Don't think so," Jessie frowns. Meowth has never seen Jessie like this, almost like she's actually thinking. "It was more of the lifestyle, no criminal activities, just a peaceful life."
"We all got into this business though," Meowth says. "And now that we got Pikachu it could become even bigger of a job."
"What if we never got Pikachu," James states and takes a sad glance towards the still resting mouse.
"Pikachu does mean a lot to the twerp," Meowth adds.
"Deliii!" A chirp comes from pretty far away.
"Hide him and act sad," Jessie whisper yells. James was the closest and quickly licked Pikachu's ball like capsule into a bush.
"Deli?" He looks the the TRio confused.
"He got away," Meowth lies.
"Take this letter back to the boss," James sighs and hands the red and white bird an envelope. The Pokémon places it in his brown sac and flew off back towards Kanto.
"What was that?" Jessie asks.
"Our resignation letter," James sighs.
"You had one ready?" Meowth asks in disbelief.
"I was planning on telling Jessie something and then sending it if I got the answer I hoped for," James says honestly.
"And the question was?" Jessie asks.
"If you wanted to be my girlfriend," James muttered. "Then we could get away from Team Rocket and live a life that has meaning."
"Ja-mes," Jessie stutters not expecting the question.
"C'mon Jess," Meowth says.
"Jessie we've been partners since the start and we've been through many... many hard times together," James pours his heart out which isn't exactly unusual for him. "But we've also had good times as well and I want to make more with you."
Meowth was about to ask, what about him but he decided to let them have their moment.
"That sounds really nice," Jessie wipes the tears starting to form. Now that is unusual. "But how would we get money to pay for things?"
"I don't know if anyone has noticed but I'm actually pretty good at Pokémon knowledge," James chuckles with a bright smile across his face. "There is a museum and laboratory in Ambrette city I applied for a job at."
"You did all this without us knowing?!" Meowth exclaims. "But you're terrible at keeping secrets."
"It was hard but I wanted to wait until we finally accomplished our dream," The periwinkle haired guy says.
"Guess this-" Meowth starts.
"Found you Team Rocket!" Ash appears unto the clearing with the rest of the twerps following.
"You did Ash," James smiles.
Meowth brought out Pikachu and quickly unlocked the capsule. The mouse looked shocked and cautiously climbed onto Ash's shoulder. "You called Ash, Ash," Bonnie points out. "What's going on?"
"I thought giving Pikachu back would be the tip off but okay," Jessie giggles and grabs James' hand.
"We're done," Meowth sighs happily. "We are no longer grunts of Team Rocket and being one Delibird away from our dream was enough to get the point of being good through our skulls."
"But what will you do now?" Serena asks.
"We have it figured out," James smiles. "Everybody deserves a fresh start and a second chance."
"Even us hopefully," Jessie smiles.
"Does that mean no more having to defend Pikachu?" Bonnie frowns. "What are we going to do with our time?"
"And how are my Pokémon going to get experience without having to battle you everyday," Ash jokes.
"Better put the time to good use," Meowth states. "Maybe Serena and Bonnie can use the time to break your denseness."
"What?"
"Nevermind," The two girls roll their eyes at their dense travelling partner.
"Can you blast us off one more time please?" James asks. "And in the direction of Ambrette Town."
"How about it buddy?" Ash let's Pikachu hop off his shoulder.
Pikachu smirked and released the bright yellow bolt of electricity.
James holds on tight to Jessie as they shoot through the sky. Meowth awkwardly is holding on the James' leg as the bright blue sky flies by them. Ash and the crew wave up to the sky as they finally get out of sight. They could still hear the famous...
"We're blasting off again!" The three day in unison for hopefully the last time.
"Except we're blasting off as a little more," James says into Jessie's ears.

Still keeping the Wednesday streak which is a good sign.
I hope you liked the more plot heavy oneshot.
But the next one is going to have a lot of fluff no matter what ship.
I still need ships though!!!!!!!!!!
