Maya's POV
Lucas finally came to a fading stop at noon. I was about to help him on his bed and put him to sleep when I realised why I was not good for him. If Riley was here she definitely could have cheered him up, in fact she wouldn't bend tell him this because it didn't happen with her. Riley is perfect and Lucas is perfect and that is why they are perfect for each other. I put his head on the cushion and I decided to leave for the best. I will tell Riley that she should be dating him. It will be for the best. I sighed as I gave him a lingering kiss on the forehead, I pulled still wanting to press my lips against his warm forehead, probably my last kiss.
I scrambled off his bed and went to his living room.
I was only walking out of the door when someone said my name from behind me, I jumped then slowly turned back
It was a lady with green eyes just like Lucas's but maybe more feminine, a long blonde ponytail.
"Maya?" She smiled
"Yeah?" I replied obviously confused
"I am Lucas's mom!" She grinned happily
"Oh I did not know that!" I smiled
"He told me he has a beautiful blonde friend that's how I recognised you!" She grinned and my smile faded at the words 'beautiful blonde'
Wasn't it blonde beauty? Why does he have to give me such wonderful names?
"Oh well..." I said nervously
"So you guys spent the night together?" She asked
"Yeah but movie and sleep that's it." I said hastily
"Of course I never would doubt my son for such things." She winked
"Well see you later!" I waved she waved back and I walked away
I climbed into the bay window two hours later when I expected the school would end
Riley was sitting on the bay window.
"Riles?" I smiled as I sat next to her
"Peaches! How was your date?" She squeaked
"Nice...?" I sighed
"Why weren't you at school?" She asked
"About that!......Riley I need a big favour!" I said
"Anything!" Riley squealed
"Date Lucas."
"What?" Riley asked, my head met up to meet hers, her eyes did not show happiness or even shock they showed a flash of 'no I won't!' As if she was protesting
"Date Lucas." I repeated
"Maya! Why that now?" Riley asked taking my hand
"Riley I have realised that Lucas is sensitive and he needs you to uplift him, me on the other hand am not sensitive and I don't know what to do when he gets sad or something."
I replied
"Is he sad?" She asked and I shook my head
"I just feel it." I sighed
"Maya, you be his girlfriend cause he needs someone who roughs him out and prepare for what is next in the world ahead, he needs someone who can say that 'yes' it is bad now but it turns okay because it has happened with me. He needs that someone maya, and that someone is you." Riley smiled and all I wanted to do was bear hug her
"So what about his sad times?" I asked
"Then I will be there, I will be his friend and I will be there as a friend." Riley smiled and now I couldn't control I threw myself on her hugging her so tightly.
"Maya you realise we just now discussed a boy and his feelings instead of our own." Riley laughed
"Yeah." I giggled and then we burst into fits of laughter and once there was a start there was no stopping
