flash walks up to me with a few of his friends as i open my locker
"hey y/n" he says with that stupid smirk on his face
god, i hate him
"hi flash" i say
he leans on the other lockers as he watches me put my books in my locker
"in gym class today, i hit a kid in the head with a basketball" he says laughing
i fake laugh along with him, although he's too dumb to realise that it's fake
"who was it?" i ask, praying that it wasn't anyone i knew
"oh just some dweeb names james"
i nod, silently sighing a breath of relief
peter's pov
i watch flash talk to y/n and i can see her laughing at what he's saying
and that makes me mad that he gets all the girls
he's a bully, not to mention that he's dumb
but maybe that's what i have to look like and act like for y/n to like me
~
i run home after school and find an old halloween costume that i wore a few years ago
i was danny from grease
i slip on the white t-shirt, black leather jacket, black denim pants, and black boots
perfect
~
i put all the clothes on and slick my hair back
i take another look in the mirror before heading off to school

everyone is staring at me and it's making me nervous, but i try not to show it as i walk over to y/n's locker
"what's up, y/n" i say in my 'macho' voice
she does a double take and gasps
"peter, you look different" she says
"it's a good different" i say confidentally
she rolls her eyes and walks away from me
"i'll talk to you later then" i call after her
i feel weird acting and dressing like this, but she likes guys like this
and i want her to like me

y/n's pov
peter's outfit and attitude better be a fluke or something because i absolutely hate it
he's acting like an asshole
what happened to the adorable and squishy nerd?
"y/n, i need you" ned says as he sits next to me at my lunch table
"peter is acting like a douche, i know" i say
"no, he's acting and dressing like that because he thinks that you like flash. and i know you don't but he doesn't believe me. you need to snap him out of it"
i nod and tell him that i will later today
he thanks me and walks back over to his usual table
i know exactly how i'm going to snap him out of it

"peter" i call out, catching up to him
"oh hey, y/n" he says in a weird deep voice
"can i walk with you?"
he nods
"you're acting like flash" i say
he stops and looks at me confused "i thought you like guys like him"
"god, no. i absolutely hate flash"
"but i saw you laughing with him yesterday" he says in his normal voice
"i have to be nice to him because my mom and his mom are friends"
"oh" he whispers
i notice that we are close to his apartment
"can i come in?" i ask, gesturing to the building
he blushes "you know where i live?"
i laugh "yeah"

i sit on the couch in the living room as peter takes a shower to wash all the grease out of his hair
"okay, i'm done" he shouts
i walk to his room "are you sure your aunt won't mind that i'm here"
he shakes his head "she won't be home until monday and it's only friday"
i nod and sit on his bed, looking up at him
his hair is dripping wet and laying messily on his forehead
he's wearing grey sweatpants and a sweatshirt
"see? there's the peter parker that i know. but aren't you hot? the heater is on"
he blushes and slips his sweatshirt off, revealing a black t-shirt that shows off his muscles
i gasp
"what?" he asks blushing deeply
i stand up and touch his muscles "i didn't know you have muscles"
he laughs nervously "yeah, i do"
i laugh "you're so cute"
"thank you" he says nervously
i step closer to him
"peter, why did you change yourself for me?" i ask quietly
he shrugs "because i like you and i know you don't like me, so i tried to change so you would like me"
i place a hand on his warm face "i've liked you for so long because you were you and you didn't care what anyone thought about you"
he smiles bashfully
"plus i have a thing for nerds"
he blushes as he looks into my eyes
"can i kiss you?" he asks
i smile "i thought you'd never ask"
he leans in and places his soft lips on mine
what starts out as a small kiss, gradually turns into a long and heated make out session
this is the only type of change i will accept
