"You're sure your ready?"
"Yes I'm sure."
"I mean, you don't have to do this if you don't want to. Everybody needs to think things over, you can stay with me a little longer if that's the case. I could--"
"Mira, I'm ready."
"Okay okay! It's just... my baby sister is all grown up! Bwahhhh!"
MiraJane hugged her little sister Lisanna tightly, while Laxus just sighed at the sight. Lisanna sweat dropped at how clingy she was.
"Uhh Mira--"
"I already had to let Elfman go, now you too! I'm gonna get old by myself, there will be no one to scold, no one to judge my cooking, no one to talk to!"
"You'll have me for that...", Laxus mumbled.
"You're not good enough! Lis please stay with me!"
"Ugh Mira, we talked about this. We both agreed that when I turn seventeen I can move out. I'll be fine."
"A-alright. Just don't sleep with a guy on the first date."
Lisanna blushed madly. "U-um, I gotta go now, I'll miss my flight."
"Come on honey, let her go.", Laxus said.
"Okay okay. Bye Lis, you be safe, ya' hear?"
"Don't worry, I will."
"And call me every once in a while."
"I will. Bye Mira."
"... Bye."
Mira watched her leave with her suitcase and sighed. "I'm all alone."
Laxus flailed his arms in the air and let out a long exaggerated sigh. "And what am I, chopped liver?"
She giggled and pecked his cheek. "No. Let's have sex."
"No complaints there."

Lisanna boarded the plane, placing her suitcase in one of the slots. She then sat next to a blonde that was looking at the clouds in astonishment. Lisanna was new to this, so she didn't know if she should introduce herself first or not. While she was over thinking it, the blonde turned to face her, giving her a warm smile and holding out her hand.
"Names Lucy Heartfilia, and you?"
"Uhh, Lisanna Strauss."
They shook hands. "Nice to meet you Lisanna. Mind if I call you Lis?"
"No not at all. Everyone does actually."
"Ah. So, what's waiting for you in Vegas?"
"A new job and house, hopefully."
"Oh I see, your moving there. Well I've been living in Vegas all my life, I was just away to visit my dad. A little bit of tip from you to me... pay your rent on time, the managers are on that like white on rice."
Lisanna laughed some. "I'll keep that in mind."
"So where're you getting a job at?"
"A bar called the Fairy Tail."
Lucy's eyes lit up. "Oh oh, that's the one I'm working at! We can be bar tender buddies!"
Lisanna laughed nervously. 'She seems awfully happy about that..'
"Yeah, sounds like fun."
The two girls continued to talk, introducing themselves, the usual. Hours later, the plane finally landed and Lisanna and Lucy parted ways.
"I've got night shift tonight. What about you?", Lucy asked.
"Same here."
"Great! I'll teach you all the basics. Don't listen to the boss, he knows nothing."
"I will also keep that in mind."
"Alright. See ya' later!"
"Okay, bye."
When Lucy was out of sight, Lisanna sighed in relief. "Man she talks a lot."
Then, Lisanna made it to the house she was renting. She looked up at it in awe. 'Wow, it looks even better in person.'
"Welcome!"
"Ah!"
The real-estate agent had startled her. The agent fun loving heavy set guy with black hair. And possibly gay. He smiled and shook her hand rapidly.
"Hi I'm Droy, and you must be Lisanna Strauss, no?"
"U-uhh yes, that's me." 'Sheesh, why is everyone here so high strung and happy?'
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you. Now, about the house. Have you changed your mind at all?"
"No. In fact I was just thinking how it looks even better in person."
"Doesn't it though? Come on, let's take a look around."
He did all the usual things a real-estate agent does, telling her about the history and going into detail about the designs of the rooms, etc.. When they got to the last room, he waited anxiously for an answer. She turned around with a big smile plastered across her face.
"I'll take it."
"Excellent choice!"

It was night now, and Lisanna was still moving in the very few things into her new house. She looked up at the clock and saw that she was about to be late for work.
"Shit!"
She scrambled out of the living room and into the bathroom to take a shower. When she was done she put on a skimpy outfit, since it was a requirement. A low cut crop top, tight mini skirt with a sheer over lay, and knee high heel boots. After applying makeup perfume and jewelry, she put a coat on over it because there was no way she'd be caught dead in that stuff outside.
She grabbed her purse and caught the city bus (gross). When she got there, the place was booming. Loud music played, people danced, and people clinked their cups and we're getting rip roaring drunk.
"Oh boy.."
"Lisanna! You're here!", Lucy said, running over to her. Lisanna's eyes widened, her jaw basically hitting the floor.
"Lucy, put some clothes on!"
"Eh, what are you talking about?"
Lucy wore a pink bikini, which was very shocking for Lisanna. She wasn't used to any of this. Sure she looked skimpy, but not that skimpy.
"Why on earth are you wearing a bikini?"
"Cuz after this I'm going swimming. There is a beach a block from here."
"Oh yeah. Sorry I forgot."
"That's fine. Anyway, get over here girl!"
Lucy grabbed her hand and pushed them through the crowd. They went behind the bar. Lucy went over the basics as Lisanna took off her coat.
"Lucky for you, boss Makarov isn't here today. His substitute Cana Alberona is. She's real cool, trust me. Boss? Not so much. He's all 'less clothes!' 'More drink!' Oh my gosh it's crazy. Anyway, it's Friday so people are coming in from there long days at work. I'll warn you, Friday's and Saturdays get really wild. Especially Friday's. So don't cry when someone yells because they didn't get their drink because someone else is distracting you. I did that, haha."
"Lucy, quit talking the girls head off. This isn't the army.", said a girl with long wavy brown hair. She came in and smiled at Lisanna.
"Hey kid, nice to meet you. I'm Cana, but I'm sure Lucy already told you."
"Lisanna."
The two shook hands and then they all got to work. "Hi, what can I get for you?", Lisanna asked her first customer.
"Two beers please."
She simply nodded and got the two beers. Lucy nudged her side. "Try smiling every once in a while."
'Yeah right' was her first thought. But she plastered a fake smile and went on with her work. Just then, a high pitched squeal filled the room. Lisanna and Cana looked up to see Lucy rushing towards a tall salmon haired stud.
"Natsu~!!"
"Heh heh, there's my girl."
She jumped on him and they kissed tenderly. Lisanna actually found herself smiling at the sight. She'd never exactly experienced love herself, but everyone she knew seemed to have it. Everyone except for her. Although, that was partially her fault for being so distant from it. She'd seen how girls get hurt.
Remembering what love really is, she frowned and continued washing a dish. But she couldn't help but watch as Lucy flirted with him madly, twirling her blonde hair and batting her eyelashes. He held a smirk and was all over her. Lisanna wrinkled her nose in disgust.
"I'm with ya' on that one.", said Cana.
"Huh?"
"Natsu and Lucy are pretty disgusting, haha."
"I heard that!"
"Good!"
"Hey, waiter!... Ugh service these days. Waiter!" Lisanna turned around to see a guy with a blue Mohawk and a frown. His eyes lit up when he saw her though, even though she kept her scowl.
"Are you talking to me?", she asked.
"Yeah. Get me a... hmm."
Lisanna leaned against the table, tapping her fingers impatiently and a bored expression on her face. "Uhh.."
"I haven't got all night."
He smirked. "I do."
"Just tell me what you want."
"How bout a date?"
She blushed some but shook off the feeling. "Well if you're not going to get a drink, I've got other people to serve."
"Wait. Get me a mithai."
She got him the drink and he paid. As he drank, she watched her every move. This made her very uncomfortable.
'Man this guy is creepy.'

People were beginning to leave, as it was closing time. Lisanna wiped down the counters. Just then, Lucy came from out back with a towel wrapped around her.
"We're going to the beach. Wanna come?", she asked.
Lisanna thought about it. Not like she had anything better to do. "Uh sure, why not."
"Yay!"
Natsu, Lucy, Lisanna, Cana, and a buff guy with Cana all went to the beach. She watched them wade around in the water, laughing and having fun.
"Come on in, the waters great!", Lucy shouted.
"Nah I'm good.", Lisanna retorted. She crossed her arms and sighed, then went to look at something else. She leaned against a building while continuing to watch them.
"This is stupid."
"Hey." She turned her head to see the same guy from before and scowled.
"Are you stalking me?"
"I wouldn't call it stalking. More like observing."
"That's what stalkers say."
"Whatever you say. All I know is, you're really hot, and I'm a nice guy, and here's my number." He handed her a piece of paper and she looked at it and him suspiciously.
"Names Bickslow by the way."
"... Lisanna."
"Charmed." He kissed her hand and she narrowed her eyes at him.
"Do you always give the cold shoulder like that?"
"Only to weird people like you."
He put his hands up in defense. "Well then, I'll just be on my way."
He walked off, but Lisanna stopped him. "Hey! Uhh.. it's not you, it's just that I've got priorities, ya' know? I don't plan on working as a bar tender my whole life. I'm going to college next year and I still don't know what to major in and--"
"Hey, all I'm asking for is a date."
She smiled and brushed her bangs out of her face. "I'm free Tuesday. Sayyy 2 o'clock?"
"Sounds good."
"Okay."
He gave her a smile, and nodded. "See ya' Lisanna."
He then walked off, leaving her a bit love struck. The way he walked off into the shadows was just so sexy to her. She bit her lip and felt the number.
"Tuesday.."

Whelp. It's Tuesday now. And Lisanna was purging through her closest, whilst also creating a fabric tornado in her room.
"No, no, no, no, no... definitely not. That's out. Who packed this?"
She threw nearly everything out, until she came across something she liked. Her eyes lit up. It was something Mira secretly packed. She was always saying how Lisanna should let lose some
"Oh Mira I love you."
She got dressed and got a cab this time. They were meeting up at Steak n' Shake. When she got there, he was already there, looking at the menu. He smiled when he saw her.
"Hey."
"Hi."
"I want you to know you're 2 seconds late so you have to pay for your own meal."
"What kinda bullshit is that?"
He laughed and shook his head. "I'm just kidding, I got you."
Then, the waiter came and they ordered their meals. "So what do you do, Bickslow?", she asked.
"I'm the manager at target."
She laughed some. "Really? Well I'll remember to request you next time I go. I love target."
"I see that." He gestured towards her outfit.
"So you're not in college yet?", he asked.
"No not yet, but I enroll next year."
"How old are you?"
"Seventeen."
His eyes widened a bit and she noticed this. "Is that a problem?"
"Oh no no, not at all. I just thought you were older. You look it."
"Looks can be deceiving."
"Obviously."
"How old are you?"
"Probably too old for you."
".. Oh. Your not one of those 40 year olds that use those wrinkle creams and hair dyes, are you? Cuz if so I think I'd better go."
He laughed and shook his head. "No, I'm 25."
She relaxed some. "Oh, 25. That's not so bad."
"I guess not."
Then, their food came and they ate. He watched her as she sipped her milkshake. She blushed some and hid behind her bangs.
"What?"
"Would it be presumptuous to ask for you to come to my place?"
She smiled and moved her bangs. "Not if I want to."
He smiled and left a tip. "Let's get outta here."
Bickslow drove them back to his house. She looked at it in awe. "I woulda never guessed you work at target."
"Manager you mean. Make yourself at home."
She sat down on the couch while he put in a movie, then sat next to her. He wrapped his arm around her and she scooter closer.
Halfway into the movie they locked eyes. Lisanna abruptly kissed him and pushed him back on the couch. Later on she pulled away to take off her suspenders. He stopped her.
"You don't have to do this if you don't want to."
"But I do."
She kissed him again, and this time he was more expectant. He wrapped his arm around her as the kiss deepened. Then, he thrusted upwards, hitting her unmentionables. She moaned into the kiss, but then something Mira said popped into her mind.
'Just don't sleep with a guy on the first date.'
Lisanna quickly pulled away. "U-um, where's your bathroom?"
"Down the hall to the right. You okay?"
"Y-yeah, just need to get myself together. First time and everything."
"Okay..."
She went to the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. She pulled her suspenders back up and fixed her hair. Then she got out her phone and called the only person she can really talk to.
"Hello?"
"Hey Mira, it's me Lis."
"Lisanna, hey! How're you doing? How's the new job?"
"I'm fine, the jobs fine. But I need to talk to you about something."
Mira instantly picked up the fear in her little sisters voice and paid close attention. "What's going on?"
"Uhh, so say you meet this really hot guy, right? And he asks you out on a date. You find out he's 8 years older than you and lives in a mansion, practically. And uh, you guys are getting near the third base and--"
"Get on with it already."
"I'm in this guys bathroom cuz I'm too afraid to have sex with him."
".... Is this the first date?"
"Yes."
"And he's how many years older than you?"
"Eight.."
"Lisanna Strauss, get the fuck out of that house this instant, or so help me god I will come down there and drag you out myself."
Lisanna shuddered at her sisters serious tone. State differences had nothing to do with a big sisters love for her younger sisters.
"Here's the thing; I kinda told him I was ready, but now I'm not."
Mira let out a long sigh. "Lisanna Lisanna Lisanna... have I taught you nothing? Never do that. You're 17, of course you're not ready."
"I mean I can't just leave--"
"The hell you can't. Run. Run and don't look back."
"But he's a nice guy."
"That doesn't mean you have sex with him after knowing him for a day!"
"Five days."
"I don't care!"
"Okay okay, you're right. I'll leave."
"Good. I'm coming to Las Vegas in a week, be prepared."
"But!--"
"Good luck. Bye, love you!"
Mira hung up before Lisanna could say anything on the matter. She sighed and put her phone back in her pocket. She gave herself a quick pep talk then went back to the living room. Bickslow perked up and looked at her with worry.
"You alright?"
"Uh huh, yeah I'm fine. Hey something just came up and I have to go.. I'm sorry. But hey, I had a great time. You're a great guy and I am so not leaving because I realized I'm very naïve. ... Okay bye."
She ran out of the house, leaving him dumbfounded. He scratched his neck and looked around.
"What was that all about?"

~A Week Later~
MiraJane had came to las Vegas like she said, and even brought Laxus with her.
Lisanna sat down on her bed while Mira stood over her and lectured her.
"Call him."
"But we haven't talked to each other since then. He doesn't even come to the bar anymore. Lucy says I broke his heart."
"Exactly, so call him. I told you to leave, not ghost him from your life."
Lisanna sighed and reached for her phone, and called Bickslow.
"Hello?"
"H-hi Bickslow, it's me Lisanna. Look, about what happened the other day--"
"No I totally get it. Something came up and you had to leave."
Mira then made a 'how dumb can you be' face.
"No, that's not why I left. I left because I wasn't ready even though I said I was. I get it, you're an adult. But I'm still a kid basically and I just--"
"I said we didn't have to have sex if you didn't want to."
"You may have said it but I know what that means. That's key for I want to have sex so I'm gonna make you feel bad about declining me until you give in. I'm not stupid ya' know. I've read the articles."
"Okay welll, I don't know what articles you're reading, but all I wanted was a date. Just to build a friendship and then maybe base that off of a future relationship. I think you misread my actions."
".. Perhaps I did." She blushed, feeling like a complete idiot.
"It's okay, we all make mistakes. How bout we have a real date sometime without any misread signals?"
"Sounds good."
They made plans for when the date would be then hung up. Mira smiled in triumph.
"See now was that so hard?"
"Oh shut up. You think you know everything."
"Eh heh heh, that's because I do."
