Chapter 1:: Giant robots
I hate being a mute absolutly hate it! It is down right irritating to have to make all these hand motions or write down ever thing you need to say. Not to mention extremely inconvenient especially when your being held upside down by your foot by a giant gray and purple robot with red eyes and sharp teeth yelling at you to answer it. You kind of feel inclined to at least scream. Ugh why is it always me? Even if i could talk I wouldn't be able to answer his question. Mostly because I have no idea how I got here. I have no memory of who I am. Up until a few weeks ago I couldn't even walk. The extent of what I do remember is waking up in a room with people around me asking questions like Who are you? Where did you come from? What's your name? All of which I had no answer too. They ended up giving me a name and welcoming me into their family, but I knew I didn't belong I wasn't like them. Not long after I got my feet back under me some things brought me to the King's attention. And once he found out that I wasn't from around there he put out a warrant for my arrest. I hadn't done anything wrong in my point of view or peoples. Most of them came after me because I was an "off worlder" what ever that was. I didn't understand what they had ment but I had run all the same.
I had been running for a long time moving from place to place going where the wind took me. I normally left before I was discovered. It was unfortunately not as lucky this time I had known the soldiers were closing in but I hadn't expected them to gather a search party or for them to chase me through the forest. Which ultimately lead to me my current situation. I had run at top speed through the forest until I came upon the cliffs. I was stuck between rock and a hard place when suddenly this strange green swirling portal opened. I looked into the portal in awe then over my shoulder as I heard the clanking of Armor. I saw the Kings men coming at me with swords, spears, and some even had guns. I thought to myself "whatevers on the other side can't be as bad as whats on this one" and I jumped through. I ended up on butt in a dark corridorr of a ship of sorts. I should have stayed right where i was but no. I had to be curious and run right into tall gray and scary.
"Are you listening to me Fleshling!?" asked the robot. Is he still yelling at me? I thought he would have droppped me by now I looked up at it trying to meet it's eyes. Wait did it even call them eyes? Bah! I scolded myself thoughts for another time. The robot shook me making me feel sick to my stomach. I was about to throw up when I heard a deep baritone voice say.
"Lord Megatron you called for me?" the shaking stoped and I felt the Robot turn and face another robot except this one was Silver, Blue, Black, and Red. I saw it's Bright blue eyes widen and then focus on me "Lord Megatron what is that? it asked.
"Well Orion this is a young human femme that snuck abord our ship and refuses to answer me when I question it " answered the gray robot
" I see. Perhaps the reason she is not answering you is becuase your holding her upside down" the red and blue bot pointed out
" You may have a point Orion" replied the Gray bot in a agitated tone as he placed me in his palm right side up. I placed my hands on my head as I felt the blood that had rushed to my head go back to the rest of me. Uh I have a head ache. I fell to my butt and laid back in it's hand holding my head until the pounding of blood in my ears stopped. I sat back up in his hand and looked around. I looked over at the red and blue bot and nodded my thanks he smirked back at me and nodded.
" Well are you going to answer me human?" asked the gray robot anger rising in his voice. I looked up at him then back at the red and blue bot. I sighed and looked around for my bag i found it on the floor beside the gray bots foot. I pointed to it and the red and blue bot came over and handed it to me I nodded my thanks and dug out my note pad and wrote
" I haven't the slightest as to how I came to be on your vessel robot but I have to say I have had warmer welcomes from angry mobs" I showed him the note book and he snarled. Ok maybe not angry mobs but still!!
" I am no robot human!!! I am Lord Megatron leader of the Decepticons" he snarled in response. He was fuming. It was rather humorous but something told me he was about to snap so I thought it best not to smile and looked back at my note book and wrote.
" I apologize it was not my intention to offend. But I may ask if you are not robots then what are you?" I showed them the notebook again
"Will you speak I have no time for games human!" He demanded. I glared at it no him and back at the note book and wrote
" I would if I could Lord Megatron but I can't" i showed them the book.
"Why?" asked the red and blue bot concern clear on his face. I looked back at the book and wrote
" I am not capable of speech. I do not know why I can not speak and or how i lost my voice" I showed him the book and he looked at me with sad eyes. Great now I have sympathy. Perfect!! I huffed crossing my arms.
" I see" he paused seeing my discomfort surrounding the subject and quickly changed it. "To answer your question we are autonomous robotic organisms from the planet cybertron" said the red and blue bot. I cocked my head to the side in thought. Wait so these guys were aliens? Wow how cool is that?! I was buzzing with questions. I had to know everything about this other world culture, tech, everthing! I looked down at my notebook and started writing
" What is cybertron like? Why are you on earth? and What do cybertronians eat? I stopped and showed him the note book.
" Cybertron is a beautiful place it is not like earth. Everything was made of metal instead of plants and other organic materials. I do not a present know why we are on earth and we refuel with Energon" he answered. I nodded and wrote another question
"What is energon?" I showed him the note book.
" Energon is the life blood of all Cybertronians" he explained. I nodded in understanding as I over heard Megatron talking to someone over his comm link or radio. Whatever they call it either way I was going to listen to what was being said.
"Soundwave would you report to the main corridor. I need you to take care of something " ordered Lord Megatron and within a few minutes a new bot came in he was purple, black, and gray he was wearing a visor over his face. "Soundwave would you take the young human and see she is takin care of" I didn't like the sound of that. I looked up at the red and blue bot with concerned eyes he caught my gaze and nodded.
" Lord Megatron if you would allow me to take the child I would be most grateful. I am curious to the workings of this world and a resident may help me understand it better." he asked in a hopeful way and his face looked down right adorable it reminded me of a puppy with big round eyes that said take me home. I just wanted to give him a hug. Apparently so did Megatron he looked at the red and blue bot and groaned then rolled his eyes and said
" Very well Orion she is your resposibility" Megatron held out his hand
"Thank you Lord Megatron" the red and blue bot smiled and extended his hand and I climbed over to the red and blue bots hand and looked up to him in thanks. He looked down at me then back up to Megatron " I will take my leave Lord Megatron" the red and blue bot turned and walked back down the corridor toward a room. He walked into the room and walked up to a big computer. He sat me down on the key board and I looked down at my note pad and wrote down another question.
" What's your name?" I waved at him to get his attention and showed him the note book.
"My name is Orion Pax. What is your name my young friend?" he asked. I wrote down my answer and showed it to him. "Your name is Annabeth? Well Annabeth it is an honor to meet you" I looked down at my note book and wrote.
"The honor is mine Orion Pax" and I held out out my hand and he lifted his hand and held it close to me raiseing his eyebrow. urr if thats ugh I have to learn what they call stuff. I grabbed one of his fingers the best i could and shook it. He looked at me with a strange look on his face. I grabbed my note book and wrote
"It's called a hand shake it symbolizes trust and respect. It is normally done in an agreement to show peaceful intent but it is also a great way to make new friends" he smiled at me and I smiled back as the intercom sounded .
"Orion Pax please report to the bridge imediatly"
" It would appear that Lord Megatron has need of me. Would you like to come along my young friend?" Orion asked. I nodded my head a grin on my face as he picked me up off the key board he set me on his shoulder and he started walking toward the bridge. I wonder what Lord Megatron wants with Orion guess I'll find out soon enough.
