She called me after class again. I'm terrified.
I walk into her empty classroom. She's sitting on the desk beside the window.
"Sit"
I do as asked.
" I can't do this to you."
"What can't you do, ma'am?"
" Love you."
A shudder passes down my spine.
She loves me too?
"If anyone finds out, I'll get fired. And you'll be expelled."
"But we aren't doing anything wrong?!?"
"Let's run away. I hate it here. And so do you."
" I'm with you on that, Raya ma'am"
"Call me Raya, okay? I'm not your teacher anymore"
She grabs my wrist.
" We'll leave first thing in the morning tomorrow. Get your stuff to school, before time. I'll be waiting at the gate."
I nod my head.
I kiss her, and walk out of the room
