Obito's POV
DAMN YOU BAKASHI!!!!! That bastard ditched me. He is so gonna get it! I'm thinking of some bright, neon green hair dye. I still have to get back at those Uchiha bastards for having sticks up their asses too. Maybe I can get Bakashi to help me with that.
Kakashi's POV
I was walking down to one of the training grounds to train on my kenjutsu. I really don't want my sword skills getting rusty....
"KAKASHI MY ETERNAL RIVAL! I CHALLENGE YOU!!!!!"
Ahhh, I know only one person who would say that. A green blur suddenly appeared in front of me. Yup, that is most defiantly Gai. And he's challenging me again. Should I accept? Yeah, why not, for old times sake.
"Sure, what's the challenge?"
My POV
Just as Kakashi accepted Gai's challenge, Obito popped up literally out of nowhere and dumped something over Kakashi's head.
"What the- Obito.... What did you do?" asked Kakashi who was deenched in some very bright green liquid.
"HA! It's what you get for ditching me back there!" exclaimed Obito.
"OBITO MY MOST YOUTHFUL FRIEND! I LIKE WHAT YOU DID TO KAKASHI! HAHA!!!" said Gai
Kakashi then tugged at some of his hair. To his horror, it was bright green. 'Well better green than pink I guess'
Just then, Genma and Raido came up from behind Gai.
"Hey Gai- Pft, Kakashi what happened to you??!?" said Raido as he came up. Now, Genma, Obito, and Raido were on the floor and laughing while Gai just stood there smiling, teeth sparkling and all.
"For some reason, I knew you were going to do this Obito." Kakashi said in exasperation. He's developed something like a sixth sense when it comes to pranks due to his wife's antics and Obito's thing for getting back at people in some way, shape or form.
"Ok, my hair aside, Gai, you said you wanted a challenge, so what is it?"
Now Gai's mouth dropped open in shock when he remembered that Kakashi had accepted his challenge while Genma and Raido looked like fish out of water.
"D-d-did Kakashi actually accept a challenge from Gai?!!!!" screamed Raido.
"Yes, I did. I needed to train and Gai's a good sparring partner." deadpanned Kakashi. Obito was just in the background snickering at his friends' faces.
"How about this, whoever manages to cut more leaves falling from that tree over there wins" suggested Obito who was still snickering a bit and pointing to a tree on the side of the road.
"A GREAT IDEA MY FRIEND!!! IF I LOSE THIS CHALLENGE THEN I WILL RUN 500 LAPS USING ONLY MY HANDS!" shouted Gai when he got over the shock.
"Okay then..." said Kakashi and Obito. To them, it was kind of endearing to see their friend in such high spirits again. In the future, Gai still had his Youthful moments but he was still down from the fact that he could never be a ninja again due to the fact that he can't use his legs ever again. Lee still spent a lot of time around Gai in all their green spandex glory though.
Just then, Anko, Ibiki, Asuma, and Kurenai came around to see what all the shouting was about and saw Genma and Raido still gaping like idiots.
"What's up with those monkeys?" pointed Anko. Kurenai went over to the two to see if they were caught in a genjutsu or something . Obito, Kakashi, and even Gai started snickering at this point.
"They're fine, they just witnessed Bakashi here actually accepting one of Gai's challenges" and just like that, everyone's jaws except Kakashi, Obito, and Gai's dropped.
"WHAT?!" they yelled
"Is it really that strange?" asked Kakashi who was confused as to why they were making such a big deal out of it.
"Well, you were a complete ass back then..." Obito said
"Was I really that bad?"
"Yes, you were."
"Okay that just hurts. I never thought that I was that bad" whined Kakashi while the others were openly gaping at him. "I think we broke them, Obito"
"Just zap them out of it or something"
"Alright..." he mumbled. He then charged some lightning chakra into his finger and proceeded to poke whoever was gaping. They yelped and then glared at him before breaking down into hysterics.
"Pfft! W-what- Your hair! Ahahahaha!"
"A-are you tryin' ta copy Gai or something? Because you got i-it wrong! Haha!"
"What's wrong with green? It is the youthful color of springtime?!" said Gai. And everyone, even Obito broke down laughing this time. Kakashi's eye is now twitching as they kept laughing. Suddenly he snapped and used a Suiton jutsu to drag the dye out of his hair and fling it at the people who were currently busting their guts on the floor. Now everyone BUT Kakashi was covered in bright, neon green dye. By now, the challenge was pretty much forgotten as Asuma, Anko, and Obito started chasing Kakashi around.
"What happened to Kakashi?" asked Kurenai. She couldn't quite believe that this carefree and relaxed Kakashi was the one who snapped every time one of the rules were broken.
"Maybe someone pulled that 3-foot kunai out of his ass." said Ibiki. "This Kakashi is definitely better than the uptight person was before"
Gai was now crying his manly tears and yelling "KAKASHI, MY ETERNAL RIVAL IS GROWING UP!" and then started to join the chase. That was when Kakashi got tired of it and decided to make shadow clones to keep the chase going. His clones then started to annoy Ibiki, Kurenai, Genma, and Raido until they also started chasing. After that, Kakashi grabbed Obito and flashed to his apartment.
Obito's POV
This is fun! There's no way that any of them could catch Kakashi though. He didn't earn the name "Silver Flash Demon" for nothing ya know. Suddenly, he was right behind me. I turned around but before I could say anything, he grabbed my arm and used that god damned Kaminari no Tabi. I feel the familiar buzz of eletricity and my stomach starts heaving. The tunnel vision doesn't help either! I closed my eyes hoping that it would at least save me from getting any more of a headache from the tunnel vision but my stomach is still churning.
When I open my eyes again, I'm in the bastard's apartment.
"What was that for, teme?" I yelled at him
"We need to talk about the timeline. Some things are already changing so we need to watch for that." he said in what I like to call it, his 'Hokage Mode'. He's right though, I don't remember ever doing an escort mission to River at this time.
"Like the escort mission yesterday, you mean. I know we should watch out for these events but we might have to create some opportunities for ourselves as well" I said.
"Yes, I know. We need to get our weapons back and make sure that Orochimaru never defects from the village." he said
"Yeah, I see what you want by keeping that snake around, but we definitely need to get rid of Danzo. Also, the future that we came from is probably already erased from the timeline. We have no idea what could happen but the events should play out the same way unless we change them or prevent them. From what I know, for every even prevented, a new one pops up. We need to be prepared for that."
"Yes, I know. We need to plan ahead but also prepare for things that are completely unexpected. Let's keep an eye out for both Orochimaru and Danzo. We can ask Lord Sandaime for a mission to Akukami Mountain and you need to rebind Madara's scythe and make them your's again. You'll have the chance to at the Kannabi Bridge mission. It's about 9 months away."
"Hai, Rokudaime-sama!" I can't help but to call him that when he was in Hokage Mode. His words are my orders and it is my duty to carry them out.
"Alright, now, do I blitz you back to your place or..." Oh hell no! I am NOT going through that again. Before he could say anything else, I booked it the hell outta there. I swear I could see that bastard smirk when I ran. I'm happy that he isn't going insane from losing Naru-chan though. I wonder how he kept same for so long without her around. I guess he's waiting for her to come to him again. Can he really wait that long?
