She bit her lip as she looked around. It was too silent for her to handle. She raised her hand to reach her chest, feeling her heart. With the silence around, she could hear it pump thrice as usual.
She looked around again. The lights were dimmed. People were either sleeping or watching movies. But she couldn't do that. She wasn't in the mood to watch a movie and too much are going on her mind for her to be able to sleep.
She turned to her side to look through the window, it was complete darkness. She didn't like it at all. She looked at her watch, she had been sitting there for almost an hour now. She heaved a deep sigh.
She bit her bottom lip. She knew she was too scared right now. She's even on the verge of tearing up. How could this happen at the start of the promotions for their 5th mini album.
She felt something warm touched her hand. She turned to her side. "Gwenchana, we'll get there in less than an hour," the person beside her assured.
"Unnie," she mouthed then nodded as response to what was said. This somehow helped her calm down.
She rested her head on the chair's head rest and closed her eyes to make herself relax. In this situation, she should be the one who should be strong.
As soon as they got off the plane, she rushed and ran to the van they had rented.
"Unnie," she called.
"Kaja!" Mina smiled at her and she nodded in response.
Their manager then turned the engine on and sped the vehicle up. She bit her bottom lip while looking at the streets through the van's window. Her heart never raced as fast as this very moment.
They're in Japan right now. When she got a call from Taehyung which informed her of a news she had always been scared of knowing, she immediately begged her manager to make her leave for Japan for just a couple of hours. She promised to come back right away in the morning.
Their manager didn't allow her as they were currently promoting their fifth mini album and they were bombarded with schedules. The girls helped her though and Mina also got a bad news which was why the latter accompanied her. Their manager then permitted them as long as one of the managers were to come with them too. That was enough for her and Mina to run to the airport.
She could now recognize the way they were heading to. She unconsciously bit her thumb nail in anxiety of what could have happened. This happened before and she couldn't be there for him. After that incident last year, she promised herself to run to his aid whenever he needed her. Things should be different now. She would do anything for him as he does for her.
They were now at the parking space of a hotel. This should be where the boys were staying for the night. She knew this place, it was near the hall the boys performed at.
"Do you know his room number?" Mina asked. She nodded in response.
Their manager was able to find a parking space right away and they instantly got off the van and sprinted inside the hotel.
She could clearly hear her heartbeat while they were in the elevator while she was looking up the numbers that lighted indicating which floors they were passing by.
"Take care," Mina told her as they got off the elevator. The boys were in different rooms so both girls had to separate ways. Their manager would just also be waiting in the van to provide privacy to the girls.
"I'll see you in an hour," Mina stated.
"Neh unnie," she replied.
Both girls then walked in different directions. She brisk walked her way to his room. She managed to look at the different numbers of each room to avoid getting lost.
As soon as she was near, she lifted her head up and recognized Taehyung outside of one door.
"How is he?" she managed to ask.
"He's currently resting now," Taehyung told her. That made her relax a little bit.
She smiled at the guy. "Gomawo," she thanked. Taehyung just nodded in reply.
"Some of the guys are inside," Taehyung informed her. She nodded to this. She knocked on the door.
"Taehyung~ah, you can just open the door!" Hoseok yelled but still opened the door.
"Oh, annyeong Tzuyu!" Hoseok greeted her. She bowed to the guy.
She could hear the guys' chuckles as she entered the room. She looked around the room. Jin, Namjoon and Yoongi were seated on the couch.
"Tzuyu?" Namjoon asked. She bowed to the guys in greetings.
She turned to the other side of the room. There he was sitting on his bed with a surprised look on his face. She couldn't help but tear up. She was more than thankful that he was just fine.
The surprised look on his face turned into a warmer expression as a smile grew on his face too. With this, she couldn't help but walk to his direction and threw herself to hug him. She was too scared of what might have happened to him.
She hid her face on his shoulders and hugged him as tight as she could. Tears then started to stream down her face and she was embarrassed to let the other guys see her so she held unto him as tight as she could.
"What happened?" he managed to ask but returned her hug at the same time.
"Mian, I think I scared her," Taehyung confessed.
"Did you exaggerate what happened earlier?" Namjoon asked Taehyung. Taehyung just scratched his head and flashed his signature boxy grin.
"I'll talk to you later Kim Taehyung!" Jungkook warned.
"Let's now leave them behind," Jin suggested and pushed the other guys out of the room.
They stayed in that position for a few more minutes. She knew he just waited until she had stopped sobbing. She released herself from the hug and looked at him.
"Whatever Taehyung had said, please don't think about it. Please don't worry too much" he begged.
"Ani, how can I not worry about you?" she furrowed her brows. "It was just right for him to tell me whatever happens to you," she retorted with conviction.
He sighed. "I know but not when you're in the middle of your busy schedule and especially not when you're just starting your promotions," he explained.
She looked at what he was looking at. It was her outfit. She was still dressed in one of their performance outfits, wearing a red skirt and white cropped tee but with a coat on. She bit her lower lip.
"But still!" she was never letting him win this argument. "I should know! I have all the right to know!" she exclaimed.
She closed her eyes as she felt his warm lips on hers. He just stole a peck from her. This was one of his ways to shut her up. She pouted at that thought.
She looked down, "I'm scared," she confessed. She didn't know where all this courage was coming from. She wasn't the type to be vocal with how she felt.
"Hey," she called out as she felt him carry her and place her on his lap.
"I know you're worried but I also wouldn't want you to worry so much that you'd come here running in tears," he stated.
"What happened earlier was way different from what happened last year," he started. "What happened last year was my fault, I shouldn't have overestimated my body and my capabilities. I saw how much you cried over the video call and if only you were not busy then I knew you would travel to be with me in Chile."
"I know you love your fans and you may not see them again after a long time but as your number 1 fan, I'm more worried of your health. I'll never want you to get sick. I know you are the main vocalist and you are the best singer and dancer I have ever known but please know your limits," another tear escape from her eye as she expressed that.
"Mianhae if I scared you," he apologized. "Mianhae." He brought his hand to touch her face and wiped that tear.
"Please take care of your body, please take care of your health, jebal, hmm?" she begged. He nodded.
"Yaksok?" she held her pinky finger out.
He smiled before making a pinky promise with her. "Yaksok," he promised.
Both exchanged meaningful stares only both of them could understand.
She then gave him another hug as he returned it and gave her a kiss on her forehead.
"Eodi isseulka, eodi isseulka," she was humming with a smile on her face as she walked her way back to the dressing room as they just received their first music show win for this promotions.
She furrowed her brows as she was grabbed to an empty dressing room but of course she knew who it was trying to kidnap her.
"Why are you here?" she turned to face him.
He had a huge grin on his face. He just shrugged his shoulders as reply to her question.
"If you can travel all the way to Japan to check on me then I can too," he told her.
She sighed. "The situation's different," she tried to explain.
"Ani," he shook his head.
"Wae?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at him and crossed her arms.
"We're back in Seoul now, alright? You don't need to worry," he then extended his arms to hug her.
"Right after I saw you that day, I became healthier instantly," he told her. She sighed at his cringey words.
"Just don't overexert yourself," she commanded. He nodded with a smile revealing his bunny teeth.
"Also," he said.
"Mwo?" she asked, looking up to him.
"I just wanted to see my happiness, the one who brings me to Utopia and the cause of my Euphoria," she blushed at his words.
She felt shy and hid her face on his chest. He chuckled at what she did. He knew what he said was effective and how it just affected her.
This guy just never fails to sweep her off her feet. She hugged him back.
She released the hug and looked at him. He leaned closer to give her a sweet and chaste kiss which she returned with the same fervour.
